The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

DWTS felt a controversy when one host was out and another host was in. So after 29 seasons, why is there a replacement? let's investigate.

Tyra Banks is bringing her smize to the dance floor as new host and executive producer of Dancing With the Stars, replacing Tom Bergeron, who is exiting the show after 28 seasons as host. Erin Andrews, Bergeron's co-host, is also leaving the show, which will get a "creative refresh" in its new season, according to ABC. Banks said in a statement that the performances on Dancing With the Stars "always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk." Perhaps this means the new season of DWTS will include makeover scenes? Banks continued, "Tom has set a powerful stage, and I'm excited to continue the legacy and put on my executive producer and hosting hats."

In joint statement, ABC and BBC Studios, which produces the series, said: "Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the Dancing with the Stars family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success. Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show."

Late Monday, Bergeron sent social media ablaze when he tweeted, "Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me. It's been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?"

Andrews has weighed in on ABC's decision to dismiss her and Tom Bergeron from the show. "Thank you ABC and the entire Dancing With the Stars family for [six] memorable seasons," Andrews tweeted on Tuesday. "Those years wouldn't have been as special without my loving host Tom Bergeron, the talented dancers, and witty judges. I will always cherish my days on that set, even if I wasn't the best at walking in heels."

ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke recently told Deadline that BBC Studios, the company that produces the show, had taken lessons from other territories. "I have seen the presentation from the Dancing with the Stars producers on how we are planning to produce this show, post-COVID and with the health regulations in place because they have the advantage of making it in other territories and I am blown away by the ingenuity and the care which they are producing it," she said. "We are bringing all of those innovations to the American broadcast. I'm really confident in their plan."

As for the judges, Carrie Ann Inaba notes that she and fellow original judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli will be back for the 29th season this fall.

"As of now, that is the plan," Inaba told her co-hosts in an episode of "The Talk" scheduled to air on Tuesday. "I just want everybody to know Len, Bruno and I — that is the plan that we're coming back. They're going to make the official announcement in a few weeks. They're just going to keep letting us know all the details. I don't want people to worry. It seems like everything is OK."

DWTS is set to return with Season 29 this fall in its traditional Monday perch.

The premiere of Nick Cannon's upcoming nationally syndicated daytime talk show has been pushed following criticism over anti-Semitic remarks that he made on a June episode of his podcast.

Titled "Nick Cannon," the talker was ordered last fall and set to launch Sept. 21. Lionsgate's Debmar-Mercury, which is the producer and distributor of Cannon's show, says it's "standing by Nick" and hopes to premiere the series in Fall 2021.

"The 'Nick Cannon' talk show will not debut this year," Lionsgate and Debmar-Mercury said in a statement Friday. "After conversations with Nick, we do believe that his public comments don't reflect his true feelings and his apology is heartfelt and sincere. We want to continue the healing process as he meets with leaders of the Jewish community and engages in a dialogue with our distribution partners to hear their views."

The statement continues: "We are standing by Nick in our hope that by fall 2021 he will be able to use his extraordinary talent and platform to entertain, enlighten and unite his audience on the 'Nick Cannon' talk show. Lionsgate and Debmar-Mercury condemn anti-Semitism, racism and hate speech. It runs counter to everything we stand for."

Fox is sticking by Cannon following his Wednesday night apology for anti-Semitic comments made during a recent episode of his "Cannon's Class" podcast.

"When we were made aware of Nick Cannon's interview with Richard Griffin on YouTube, we immediately began a dialogue with Nick," Fox said in a statement. "He is clear and remorseful that his words were wrong and lacked both understanding and context, and inadvertently promoted hate. This was important for us to observe. Nick has sincerely apologized, and quickly taken steps to educate himself and make amends. On that basis and given a belief that this moment calls for dialogue, we will move forward with Nick and help him advance this important conversation, broadly. Fox condemns all forms of hate directed toward any community and we will combat bigotry of any kind."

On Wednesday night, Cannon tweeted that he wanted to "extend my deepest and most sincere apologies to my Jewish sisters and brothers for the hurtful and divisive words that came out of my mouth during my interview with Richard Griffin," adding that he feels "ashamed of the uninformed and naïve place that these words came from."

Cannon has hosted all three seasons of "The Masked Singer" — the highest-rated show on broadcast television — since it premiered in January 2019, and began emceeing the competition's post-show, "After the Mask," when it launched midway through the recently ended Season 3. He will return as host for the upcoming fourth season this fall, which is scheduled to go into production in August.

Along with "Masked Singer," Fox has has a development deal with Cannon, which includes a late-night TV series that has been in the works at the network since October 2018.

ViacomCBS cut ties with Cannon — the creator and host of "Wild 'N Out" — on Tuesday over the comments he made on "Cannon's Class," which the media giant said "promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories." In a statement, a spokesperson for the company also said they were "deeply troubled" by Cannon's failure to "acknowledge or apologize for perpetuating anti-Semitism."

Cannon pushed back against ViacomCBS in a lengthy Facebook post on Wednesday, demanding "full ownership" of "Wild 'N Out," which he referred to as a "billion dollar" brand," and an apology from the company. He said he received "dead silence" in return. "That's when I realized they don't want a conversation or growth, they wanted to put the young negro in his place," Cannon wrote.

"It is absolutely untrue that Nick Cannon reached out to the Chair of ViacomCBS," a representative for ViacomCBS and a spokesperson for Redstone both said in statements on Wednesday. When asked if Cannon had attempted to reach Redstone through intermediaries, both the ViacomCBS rep and Redstone's rep said, "Not to my knowledge."

In addition, Cannon has announced a decision to "take some time away" from his morning radio show in order to focus on "thorough reflection and education".

Big Brother speculation has ramped up once again, though the past week has been filled with questions about whether or not the rumored all-star season would even happen. COVID-19 diagnosis has increased in the Los Angeles area recently and, once again, restrictions are being put in place to slow the spread of illness and keep folks home.

The good news is Big Brother has allegedly been preparing for any lockdowns and doing what it can to be in the best position to make the season happen.

One of the alleged biggest issues with Big Brother Season 22 in recent weeks is that there was a requirement that the show's crew would need to be in quarantine the same as the cast to create a truly safe environment. It's quite a commitment considering the crew would spend 90 days in isolation alongside the cast, and not have a chance at the grand prize.

The good news is Big Brother has allegedly found a way around that problem and will be able to safely stagger its crew throughout Season 22.

According to TMZ, the plan is for the show to create a bubble situation similar to what the NBA has done and that crew members will stay in RVs next to the show's set. As for scheduling, the crews will spend one month on, get two weeks off, then will quarantine for two weeks to return to the Big Brother set.

Going across.....the pond to this.

MasterChef is officially back in production in the UK after Shine got cameras rolling on spin-off show MasterChef: The Professionals last week.

Filming is underway on Season 13 of the professionals' franchise at 3 Mills Studios in London, with Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace resuming their hosting and judging duties — albeit with a socially distanced twist.

MasterChef: The Professionals is the first of the UK MasterChef brands to go into production in the pandemic era. Celebrity MasterChef is currently broadcasting on BBC One but wrapped just before lockdown in March.

3 Mills Studios has been MasterChef's home in the UK for a number of years and it is understood that the large studio space used to house the show has been an advantage in getting production underway.

A MasterChef spokeswoman said: "We are ensuring that all Covid-19 filming protocols are being adhered to as set out in industry-wide filming guidelines published last week."

Safety protocols published last week by major UK broadcasters included updated guidance on close contact among cast and crew. The guidelines recommend that people breaking two-meter social distancing rules should be tested at least once a week for coronavirus alongside daily symptom checks.

MasterChef's return to the kitchen is likely to be a boost to other major cookery show, such as Channel 4's The Great British Bake Off, which was notably derailed by the pandemic. Producer Love Productions is quarantining cast and crew ahead of a return to production.

Paddy McGuinness is set to host the BBC's new singing competition, I Can See Your Voice.

The Top Gear presenter will host the new BBC primetime show, which promises a spin on game shows with two teams of players attempting to guess who can and can't sing from a mystery line-up of singers in front of them. The catch is they have to try to predict which ones have the voice of an angel and which are more nails on a chalkboard without ever having heard them sing a single note.

The teams will be aided by a panel of celebrity experts, including a different singing superstar guest each week.

The game show format is based on a series with first aired in South Korea back in 2015 and even won an International Emmy nomination for Best Non-scripted Entertainment Program.
