Watch out East High. World of Dance judge and six-time Dancing With the Stars champ Derek Hough is heading to the drama department at your fiercest rival. Hough has joined the cast of Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in a recurring role for the upcoming second season.
Hough will play Miss Jenn’s (Kate Reinders) ex-boyfriend, Zack, a charming but sneaky actor who returns to Salt Lake to teach drama at East High’s biggest rival, North High.
Created and executive-produced by Tim Federle, the first series adaptation of the High School Musical franchise introduces a group of drama students and faculty members at East High. The first season’s 10 episodes count down from auditions to opening night of their school’s first production of High School Musical: The Musical. They have budding romances, faltering friendships and harsh rivalries as they experience the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.
The celebrity chef was recognised in the New Year Honours List for services to broadcasting and the culinary arts. And he looked seriously dapper for the investiture ceremony, rocking a navy suit and shiny black shoes. The 63-year-old was greeted by Prince Charles, as they shook hands at the palace.
Ainsley was among those named in the New Year Honours List, alongside Nadiya Hussain, Ben Stokes and Sir Elton John. Chatting about his new title, he admitted he became ‘really choked up’ when he was first told. ‘When I was first told about it, I immediately thought about my dear late mum – which really choked me up, because I know how proud she would have been, her boy’s proud too,’ he said.

Fox Corporation has been among the most proactive media companies in scaling back events in the face of the rapidly growing coronavirus epidemic.
Earlier this week, the company’s Fox News network became the first to cancel its advertisers upfront presentation scheduled for March 24 due to coronavirus concerns.
Now I have learned that Fox Corp.’s broadcast network Fox Entertainment will no longer be hosting program development presentations in a precautionary effort to keep employees, clients and agency partners safe from the pathogen. I hear the company also canceled an affiliate board dinner that was to take place during the NAB Show in Vegas, slated for April 18-22.
Meanwhile, none of the May 2020 broadcast upfront presentations have been impacted so far. Set to take place May 11-14, the glitzy events showcase the nets’ fall schedules and new shows while wining and dining ad buyers ahead of the upfront market where the broadcasters sell the bulk of their advertising for the following season.
All networks presenting in May are currently proceeding with their plans, which could change as we get near depending on the progress in trying to contain the coronavirus epidemic.

Tip....Me Over and Point me Out.
Tipping Point had its first ever jackpot winner on Wednesday night.
Contestant Clive managed to walk away from the ITV game show with a massive £20,000 after managing to knock a double jackpot token out of the Coin Dozer style machine.
Overwhelmed with the win, the sweet man welled-up with emotion as he hugged show host Ben Shephard.
As the token was tipped out of the tray Ben screamed: "Clive you’ve done! I can’t believe you have done it!"
Gobsmacked Clive replied: "I am not over! Thank you so much!

Maidstone Studios, home of Catchphrase, Take Me Out and Supermarket Sweep, has been struck by coronavirus as Bectu calls on the government to prevent freelancers from being left out of pocket.
An NHS worker tested positive for Covid-19 at Kent’s Vinters Business Park yesterday, which is where Maidstone Studios is based.
A spokesman for the studios said no TV shows have been impacted as the facility is currently being upgraded.
ITV Meridian’s Maidstone staff were sent home, but last night’s Meridian East bulletin went out as usual, as this is filmed at Whiteley studios in Fareham.
ITV said in a statement: “After being informed that a member of staff from another organisation based in the same building complex as ITV Meridian’s Maidstone bureau tested positive for the coronavirus, colleagues working there have been sent home as a precautionary measure.
“We will continue to assess and review the situation in conjunction with the relevant authorities.”
Gameshows such as ITV triple Catchphrase, Take Me Out and Supermarket Sweep are recorded at Maidstone.
BBC2’s Later… with Jools Holland and BBC scripted offerings The Split and Inside No. 9 are also filmed there, although none of these are currently in production.
It's one of the most highly anticipated game shows of the moment and Loose Women have leaked the start date for Beat The Chasers.
In a format that sounds similar to popular BBC2 quiz series Eggheads, big cash prizes up for grabs if contestants can outsmart the quiz veterans.
All five current Chasers will take part in The Chase's spin-off show, meaning Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett and Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha will be joining forces in the hope of out smarting teams of contestants.
And former I'm A Celebrity contestant Anne discussed the new series when appearing as a guest on Monday's Loose Women.
Revealing all about it, Loose Women host Andrea McLean told viewers watching at home: "Andrea said: ‘There’s a new show called Beat The Chasers, it’s starting on ITV on 27th April," prompting a flustered Anne to wade in.
Taking the stern tone millions of viewers of The Chase know her for, Anne responded "‘Woah, woah, woah, you weren’t supposed to say that.
"I’ve had a request from ITV, please do not reveal the air date on which it starts."
Apologising in a fashion, but still refusing to take ther blame, Andrea reacted: "Oh, we didn’t get that memo."
Richard Ayoade is piloting a new comedy game show in which the players write the questions.
The show is being developed under the title Who’s Asking? – although that may change as Chortle understands that a separate game show with that title, based on an Israeli format, is also being piloted.
It has not been revealed which broadcasters, if any, the projects are being developed for.
Crystal Maze host Ayoade is taping his pilot in front of an audience at the Lyric Hammersmith in West London on March 19. Free audience tickets are available here.
Producers say: ‘Join Richard as he invites three comedians to take part in a quiz like no other. On Who’s Asking? it’s up to the players to write the questions. Expect some healthy competition, inventive rounds and plenty of laughs.’
In the separate Israeli format of the same name, contestants must pick a questioner from three members of the public shown to them on stage. Formatzone has the UK rights to this show and it's not connected to the Ayoade pilot, other than sharing a title.
