Now, America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thank you Madison and welcome all and everybody tuning in from different parts of the world to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. When "You DO What?," the hottest puppet game show on Twitch.tv was on the air at the time, I was on Instagram to check in with the people involved. One of the people who worked on that show also known for "Adventures of Em," is a mutual friend of that site and when I first followed her, it seemed that she was only going to do Instagram covers, but then one you got to know her humor pretty well, you feel more confident. So I'm about to introduce to you a new friend to the Game Show Live! squad. Her name is Charissa Memrick and on Insta, FB and Youtube, you've seen her everywhere. A classically trained singer from the lone star state, she's been known to go outside on the classical realm and find something to make it all happen. And so.........Game Show Live! in association with Jackbox Media Services, Spy Fox Entertainment and Pluto TV networks is proud to offer.....................

Pretty nice. But all that wasting time tells us we have to get on with it, so let's fast forward to........

The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

What do the letters TCA mean to you? For any of you with a television, it means the Television Citics Association and Game Show Live was there as we kick off our.............

Extended Coverage.

Today at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, family entertainment network BYUtv announced its new comedy competition series "Wayne Brady's Comedy IQ," created and hosted by multiple Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated Wayne Brady and his producing partner, Mandie Taketa. The show, which counts Queen Latifah among its executive producers, will premiere on April 6, 2020.
Talented young people from across the country compete in a one-of-a-kind performers' bootcamp to demonstrate the highest "comedy IQ." Each new challenge teaches them to be multi-faceted in writing, directing, performing and creating comedic and musical content. Along the way, the teens learn universal skills that can bring them success in the real world.
"I'm so grateful to BYUtv for giving me the chance to pass on my 30 years plus of comedy and performing knowledge," said Wayne Brady. "It means so much to me to help the next generation of funny along. I get to give the comedy guidance I never had at that age!"
The 10-episode unscripted series has completed production in Los Angeles and was executive produced by Wayne Brady, Mandie Taketa, Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, Mechelle Collins and Kevin Dill of Intuitive Entertainment (Bravo's "The Millionaire Matchmaker," Lifetime's "The Rap Game") and BYUtv.
"The brilliant Wayne Brady and his producing partner, Mandie Taketa, came to us with a passion and plan for finding and nurturing young artists that we were delighted to make a reality," said Michael Dunn, managing director of BYUtv. "What's special about 'Wayne Brady's Comedy IQ' is that it guides the contestants in navigating achievement, rejection and resiliency both in the entertainment industry and in everyday life. It's a positive show about the human side of humor and reaching our own potential." .

However, we go over to the streaming side of things.

Amazon Original series Making The Cut, hosted and executive produced by Heidi Klum & Tim Gunn, will premiere on Prime Video on Friday March 27, 2020. The 10-episode fashion competition series, which brings together a diverse group of 12 talented entrepreneurs and designers, will premiere two new episodes each week, culminating in an epic finale on April 24, 2020.
In this first-ever global and instantly shoppable series, limited editions of the winning look from each episode will be available for purchase exclusively on Amazon Fashion in the "Making the Cut" store. During the course of the season, those who do not "make the cut" will be eliminated, with the winning designer from the finale receiving one million dollars to invest in their brand and the opportunity to create an exclusive line available on Amazon Fashion.
The dozen designers featured on Making the Cut will visit three of the world's fashion capitals - New York, Paris, and Toyko - and face challenges and assignments that will test not only their design skills but also their ability to run all aspects of a business. Judging their looks and industry acumen are some of fashion's most recognizable and influential names, including Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, Joseph Altuzarra, Carine Roitfeld and Chiara Ferragni. The series is executive produced by Sara Rea, Page Feldman, Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn and Jennifer Love, directed by Ramy Romany and produced by Amazon Studios and SKR Productions.

Last week, we told you that Supermarket Sweep is coming back to television thanks to reports from the TCA, but the other 2 networks were the ones we haven't reported it yet. First, we start with the Tiffany Channel.

CBS has picked up three celebrity specials of The Price Is Right, the network announced Sunday during its TCA winter press tour session.
The Price Is Right at Night episodes will air in primetime in spring 2020.
In December, the game show aired two holiday primetime specials with actor Seth Rogen and David Boreanaz and the cast of CBS military drama SEAL Team.
The Price Is Right, hosted by Drew Carey, airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. The long-running game show is produced by Fremantle with Evelyn Warfel serving as executive producer.

- SURVIVOR celebrates its upcoming 40th season with a new one-hour special, SURVIVOR AT 40: GREATEST MOMENTS AND PLAYERS, to be broadcast Wednesday, Feb. 5 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The milestone 40th edition of SURVIVOR, hosted by Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst, premieres with a special two-hour episode one week later, on Wednesday, Feb. 12 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The retrospective features new interviews with unforgettable players from the past two decades of the groundbreaking series who discuss their biggest moves and favorite moments of the game, including previous winners Rob Mariano ("Redemption Island"), Amber Mariano ("All-Stars"), Jeremy Collins ("Second Chance"), Parvati Shallow (Fan vs. Favorites), and Ben Driebergen ("Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers"). "We had so much fun putting together 20 years of amazing moments that will remind everyone of why SURVIVOR is so addicting to watch and so fun to play," said executive producer and host Jeff Probst.

Oh, and I forgot about the Peacock network.

NBC is to launch Jimmy Fallon's comedy variety series That's My Jam after this summer's Olympic Games.
The network is gearing up for the launch, which is based on the celebrity-fueled musical segments from The Tonight Show, after the Tokyo Olympics, which runs from July 24 to August 9.
NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy revealed the scheduling during his exec session at the Winter TCA press tour. "If you love music, you love dance and you love pop culture… [Jimmy's] turned it into a primetime spectacular for him and some of his closest friends, and so we're really, really excited."
It marks Fallon's first venture into primetime. Based on the Wheel of Musical Impressions segment from The Tonight Show, it was brought to Universal Television Alternative Studio by Fallon, longtime Tonight Show producer Jim Juvonen and writer Josh Knapp.

- NBC is expected to finish its investigation into Gabrielle Union's firing on America's Got Talent by the end of the month and network boss Paul Telegdy said it would put new practices in place "if necessary". This comes after Union departed the long-running entertainment format in controversial fashion. She is thought to have voiced concerns about a "toxic" culture on the show.
Here's some crafty news: NBC has renewed the craft competition series Making It, hosted by Parks and Rec alums Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, for Season 3. The show features craft makers from across the country who bring their handmade creations to be judged by Poehler and Offerman, along with expert judges Simon Doonan and Dayna Isom Johnson. Season 2's binge-like broadcast last December averaged 2.6 million total viewers and a 0.7 rating with Live+7 DVR playback factored in.
- USA Network reality chief Heather Olander has outlined the challenges of launching new adaptations of classic formats as it prepares to reboot The Biggest Loser. Olander, who is senior vice president, alternative series development and production, USA Network & Syfy, has admitted that there is a challenge to overcome the perception of previous versions of formats but said familiar titles are valuable in a world where it is very hard to launch new unscripted shows. This comes as The Biggest Loser launches on the cabler on January 28 and follows the reboot of Temptation Island, which aired two seasons in 2019. "What's great about both Temptation Island and The Biggest Loser is that they're both well known formats, The Biggest Loser even more so because it's had 17 seasons. It does help in the marketplace, where it is very hard to launch new shows, having a built in familiarity with the title. The downside is that there's a perception coming in of what the old versions might be and both shows have that. Times have changed, both those shows launched over a decade ago. Overcoming those is probably the challenge," she said.

We hope that the summer between cable and networks and beyond that will give them an offering to viewers.

If you can't stand the heat.......get out of the bakery.

Sandi Toksvig is leaving the Bake Off tent: The Great British Bake Off host has confirmed that she is departing after three years to focus on other projects, including hosting duties on Channel 4's The Write Offs, a new series that examines adult literacy.
"When stepping down from a job it is quite common for people to say they are doing so in order to spend more time with their family. Unusually I am departing from the Great British Bake Off so I can spend more time with my other work," Toksvig said in a statement.
"As my waistline will testify, Bake Off is an all-consuming show. Spending time with Prue, Paul and Noel has been one of the great pleasures of my life. These are friendships which I know will continue beyond the confines of television.
"Bake Off is a wonderful program which has already proved it can happily withstand a change of hosting personnel," she continued. "The reason for that, of course, is that the true stars of the show are the bakers themselves. I wish everyone well."
Toksvig first joined Bake Off in Series 8, when the former BBC program made the jump to Channel 4. She stayed on through Series 10 (which is dubbed The Great British Baking Show "Collection 7" on U.S. Netflix)..

Disney Channel's first family dance competition series, "Disney Fam Jam," will premiere on SUNDAY, FEB. 23 (8:25 p.m. EST/PST), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. "Disney Fam Jam," is inspired by choreographer Phil Wright's "The Parent Jam™" dance classes, which are streamed online and have become a viral sensation. Ariel Martin and Trevor Tordjman, stars of the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "ZOMBIES 2," will co-host the half-hour Multicam series.
Each episode of the competition series will feature two families with kids hitting the floor to see which will be crowned "Disney Fam Jam" champions. At the end of each episode, the studio audience will vote for their favorite dance family, resulting in the winners taking home a $10,000 prize along with a "Disney Fam Jam" trophy.
Wright will take the audience behind the scenes as he gets to know each family and how dance plays a part in their lives. The families will learn choreography from Wright and master their special moves during the rehearsal of their big stage performance. Martin and Tordjman will join Wright on the electrifying "Disney Fam Jam" stage, where the families come together to compete in front of the studio audience.
Phil Wright is a world-renowned dance teacher and choreographer. He created and founded "The Parent Jam™." He travels the world bringing families and students together to provide encouragement and positivity in each dance class. Wright has worked with some of today's top artists including Lil Nas X, Will Smith, MC Hammer, TLC and G-Eazy ft. Cardi B.
At just 18 years old, Ariel Martin is an accomplished actress, singer, entrepreneur and author. In addition to starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie "ZOMBIES 2," Martin is a social media sensation, having over 40 million followers across platforms.
Trevor Tordjman most recently reprises his role as Bucky, Seabrook High's head cheerleader, in the Disney Channel Original Movie "ZOMBIES 2," the highly anticipated sequel to "ZOMBIES." An accomplished dancer, Tordjman is best known for his role as a series regular on five seasons of the dance drama "The Next Step," the highest-rated teen show on Canada's Family Channel.
"Disney Fam Jam" is a production of Matador Content. The series is executive produced by Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin and James Sunderland ("Lip Sync Battle"), Irene Dreayer ("The Suite Life of Zack & Cody") and Phil Wright.

It'll take more than Classic Concentration to deal with our next story..............

In the recent primetime ABC special What Is Jeopardy!? Alex Trebek and America's Most Popular Quiz Show, Trebek — who is 79, and since March has been battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer — said that whenever his final episode rolls around, his 30-second farewell message to viewers will include the advisory, "Don't ask me who's going to replace me, because I have no say in that whatsoever."
But the reason why he won't have any input, even after hosting Jeopardy! for well over three decades, lies within Trebek himself.
"It's not a decision that would be up to me. And I would not make myself available to presenting an opinion," Trebek explained to TVLine at the TCA winter press tour, following a panel Q&A for the well-watched Greatest of All Time tournament. "I would leave it up to the people in charge."
Speaking of whom, TVLine in turn asked Jeopardy! executive producer Harry Friedman about Trebek's role (or lack thereof) in helping scout out the game show's next host. "[Alex] really has no interest in being involved in that process," said Friedman. "We would welcome his opinion, obviously, but he feels like it's really not up to him. And he has said that for a long time."
So, outside of tendering a formal recommendation, who is Trebek's dream pick? "When people ask me who I'd like to see replace me, I say, 'Well, it's probably going to be a woman, and she'll have to be bright, she'll have to have a good sense of humor…' Uhhhh, let's see…. Betty White! Betty White is my choice.".

But let's get back to the GBBO for a minute.........

The Great British Bake Off's Noel Fielding is set to front a new comedy game show that will test the creativity of celebrities.
The game show is called Creationism and is described as "a ludicrous comedy competition" that challenges guests to show how talented they are in a number of creative fields, including art, poetry, music and storytelling.
Chortle reports that the pilot for the show will be filmed in front of a live studio audience in London next month, and few other details – including a potential broadcaster – are known about the project at this time.

And we stirr this one up......

Sinclair Broadcast Group marked marked Tuesday's one-year anniversary of STIRR, its ad-supported streaming service, by announcing plans to launch a new channel dedicated to live 2020 election events.
The company also said STIRR has attracted more than 1.6 million app downloads during its first year.
Sinclair, the No. 2 owner of local stations, made the announcement on the first day of NATPE, the major conference for syndicators and station executives in Miami.
Along with the election initiative, the company also said STIRR will soon offer popular syndicated shows like Judge Judy, Dr. Phil, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. By the end of March, episodes from syndicated TV shows originally aired by the Sinclair broadcast stations will start being made available to viewers on demand and after their linear airtime, depending on where viewers live.

Now that the potion has been stirred, we serve it up with a Mistplay Game Break. Since this week is all about musicals, I give you a question about it. So...................

Who wrote the book version of "Be More Chill" based on the musical of the same name?

Chill yourself out and think after this Pandora song break from Charissa once again doing this the musical "Waitress."

But according to plan, the correct answer is...................

Ned Vizzini.

Vizzini's first published work was an essay he submitted to the New York Press, an alternative newspaper, about winning honorable mention at the 1996 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.[6] As a freelance writer for the paper, he wrote about everything from family vacations to getting drunk in the street with other kids. The success of Vizzini's work earned him an invitation to contribute a teen-focused article to the New York Times Magazine.[7]
In May 1998, Vizzini's essay "Teen Angst? Nah!" appeared in The New York Times.[8] Following this, several of his New York Press columns became the core of his first book, Teen Angst? Naaah.... which is a memoir of his teenage years. It is a collection of short stories, most of which were originally published in The New York Press and The New York Times Magazine. The book is broken down by years covering junior high through high school and beyond.[7][9]

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, would you like some more fun? I thought so. Playbill on Youtube is launching yet anothed edition of the game where even a right answer can catch you singing along. It's......Playbill: The Game Show!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What started in New York City under Art Fleming later went to LA in 1978 and again in 1984 under Alex Trebek turned out to be Ameica's #1 Quiz Show. Jeopardy's nighttime specials on ABC shattered primetime ratings and set the tone for an opening stanza to this summer's fun & games festival. But who else would've been in that GOAT tournanment? Let's investigate.

https://youtu.be/YMokBB7Vtzs

One that came to my mind is Frank Spangenberg. He was the first man to win over $100,000 in 5 straight days. Maybe he should be a fit for the next GOAT tournamnent. Or perhaps Austin Rogers. He brought a personalty during his intros and his podcast is so cool. Julia Collins also would've got in too. She usually had her own twitter handle which still is @JeopardyJulia and could be the dark horse of the tourney. Maybe you should go with Colby Burnett. He not only became brainy in the Jeopardy! arena but was also on King of The Nerds on TBS. I think he'll be cool. What about Jackie Fox? Although she was in the icoinic rock band The Runways with Joan Jett, she's no stranger to trivia quiz shows on TV. Jerome Vered also would've got in. When you think of his name, you think of his one-day record for the most winnings. What about Larissa Kelly? Her family was on the show and she's the only one to become a winner. But if all of them are turned down, I'd pick the long shot right here.....
