Now, America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thank you so much Madi2TheMax for getting our hump day off to a land where imagination meets edutainment. It's Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. So much to talk about, so let's get on it starting with.....

The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

Back in the 1990s, we didn't have Jackbox games or Fortnite. All we had was SNES, Dreamcast, Genesis, Virtual Boy, N64 or PS1. At the time, we didn't text or slide into somebody's DM. We had pagers and a lindline phone. Nobody back then didn't call an Uber, we had to take a Taxi and pay fare. Social media wasn't around, so we had friends and neighbors. Netflix or Hulu didn't come around, so Blockbuster Video was our only hope. However, cable Tv was the best way to watch and in 1997, I was watching WGN America when this show came on the air.........

Yep. It was Bzzz! The syndicated dating program that gave speed dating a u-turn while driving 90 on the highway. The producer and show's host Annie Wood tweeted this:

I'm not crying, you are. And now the show that is in the same decade that gave us Spy Fox, Freddie Fish and Pajama Sam comes to a digital subchannel by the name of Buzzr. They'll join Split Second, Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour, Supermarket Sweep and others as latest acquisions to the channel in its almost 5-year existence. For those of you that don't know, the show pits 2 suitors, and listens and looks to the people who'll they'll date for. A Buzzer of course means elimination, but a school bell means......perfect match and it only takes 2:00 to get it done. After which, the Simpatico round had a possible shot at $1000 and the couple with the most matches heads straight to the Final Bzzz! where the tables are turned. The show is made is Ralph Edwards of Truth or Consequences, The Cross Wits and forever known for getting the rights to Name That Tune in the 70's, and Stu Billett who did Moral Court and tag teamed with Ralph for the iconic People's Court show. It'll return to the airwaves February 9th which is one day closer to Annie's birthday. Yay! So don't buzz yourself out, re-live your inner Gushers and Lunchables with Capri-Sun childhood and watch on 2/9. Wood you, er, Would you?

Our vision is 20/20 vision, but who had perfect eyesight and who was permantely blindsided? It's the Yay & Yawn of January.

https://youtu.be/7CGUedpWteY

The yay: Popeye's A viral moment that happened on Family Feud Canada gave the restaurant company $10,000 to a contestant who said chicken which would've been the top answer. The winning  answer: Spinach. For real?

The Yawn: Priscilla Drobes. She entered the Jeopardy! arena a contender but she got trounced like a wrestling squash match back in the 80's and had minus $5400 as a result. Those other 2 had a clinic, but social media had a lot of support, like..................

I guess nerves didn't get to the best of her.

Don't buzz off! after this break......

It's madness on Food Network this March as Guy Fieri hosts and executive produces an all new culinary competition where 16 of the nation's most celebrated chefs face-off on Tournament of Champions, premiering on Wednesday, March 4th at 10pm with a supersized 90-minute episode stuffed with edge-of-your-seat action.
During the five-part tournament, the chefs' skills will be pushed to the limit, as they go head-to-head in a single elimination bracket-style competition, where a randomizer machine determines the protein, produce, equipment, cooking style, and time for each of the cook-offs. The pressure is on and emotions are high throughout this unpredictable tournament, as the elite chefs enter this blind competition not knowing who their opponents will be, or what cooking challenges they will face. The intensity increases in each sudden-death each round of the tournament as the coveted spots decrease from 16 to eight in the second round, then to four, until there are only two chefs in the final round.
This past October, Guy issued a call to action on social media for fans to nominate their favorite chefs they thought deserved to earn a coveted challenger spot for an East Coast vs. West Coast tournament, and the fans responded. The final chefs representing the East Coast are: Maneet Chauhan, Rocco DiSpirito, Alex Guarnaschelli, Elizabeth Falkner, Darnell Ferguson, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Christian Petroni. The chefs showing off their chops from the West Coast are: Richard Blais, Eric Greenspan, Antonia Lofaso, Beau Macmillan, Jet Tila, Marcel Vigneron, Michael Voltaggio, and Brooke Williamson.
Today, the seeds and first-round brackets of the tournament will be unveiled on Food Network's Twitter page. Beginning on February 14th, for the first time ever, viewers will be able to build their own bracket for a chance to track their scores as the competition unfolds, unlock exclusive content, and win prizes throughout the season.
"Tournament of Champions showcases cooking as a sport with difficult sudden-death challenges and unexpected match ups as each round is determined by the course of the competition," said Courtney White, President, Food Network. "Our cameras rolled on all the action, from the competition floor to back stage and behind the scenes, capturing the tension, deliberation, elation and frustration as bracket victors moved on while others faced elimination."
"The NFL has the Super Bowl, MLB has the World Series, NBA has The Finals. And now Food Network has Tournament of Champions - the ultimate culinary championship to establish once and for all, who rules America's kitchen," said Guy Fieri.
It's a high stakes competition unlike any before. Simon Majumdar and Justin Warner deliver real time play-by-play as all the action unfolds in front of a live audience and continues backstage while the competitors mull over their work while listening in on the judges' deliberation. Deciding who advances in each round is a rotating panel of expert judges including, Michelle Bernstein, Traci Des Jardin, Marcus Samuelsson, Nancy Silverton, Curtis Stone, Ming Tsai, and Jonathan Waxman. Unexpected challenges, major upsets and surprises fill this tournament, which concludes with an extended 90-minute episode on Wednesday, April 1st at 10pm. Only one chef will emerge as the champion!
Fans can head to www.FoodNetwork.com/TournamentOfChampions for videos with Guy, taste test challenges with the judges and food games with competitors, as well as exclusive Q&As. From February 14 - March 1, viewers can head to Food Network's Twitter to complete their own bracket for the chance to win unique prizes, and use #TournamentOfChampions to track the action week-to-week.

Now we skip ahead to a Mistplay game break. Stop! tell me.......

Think about that for a second after this little thing we call.......

Recently, there had been a Bigfoot sighting and Paulina Jayne was there to witness it all........in song.

A post shared by The Ty Bentli Show (@thetybentlishow) on

Thanks Paulina. The only sighting I've seen thus far was the monster truck.

That sound you just head before the quickie segment aired was none other and sadly, a dentist drill. It makes you get rid of a root canal and makes you hurt real....real......bad. Maybe laser stuff doesn't hurt. Maybe next year's Mid SOuth Mission of Mercy in which I've been to should get laser stuff to be on the safe side instead of the usual procedure. BTW, this past Friday, they took out 7 of my choppers that were so bad..............Let's move on.

Love is in the air and our Game Show Live! Astrologer to the stars Kristen Nedopak is spreading it all around as the Magick Girl as we open the......Loooooooooooooove calendar, ooh yeah!

Coffee Crisp. Mike Myers. The Grey Cup.

The country of Canada has given their own game shows, and this segment looks at the legacy and controversies of the games that made it a standard. Sometimes, you might ask this question.................

https://youtu.be/OoI7phmYYfw

WHAT THE NORTH?

Yes, the question that asks all canadians everywhere from the neighbors to the north, why are games so cheap and stuff? Well, we at Game Show Live tell you all aboot it, so let's blast off, hosers. Eh?

(song fades out)

The year was 1981. Calgary gets the 1988 WInter Olympics by the olympic committee. The West Edmonton Mall is open. Alex Trebek goes back to his native country for..........this show.

Uh, I meant this show.

Thank you. Yes, Pitfall and thanks to Canada's Game Shows documentary, our special correspondent Wayne Cox of Talk About and Acting Crazy talks about who it all got started and how ALex Trebek got stiffed in the first place.

Now if i were to lower the time limit to three minutes, it would've been 2 rides up the elevator instead of 1. Also, they would ask questions of their favorite rock group, tv show or stuff like that.

Usually, it was supposed to be a scale of 1-10, but we shrink wrapped it into a 1-5 system, so the score says it's a.........................4. I think the set is the star of the show and it's futuristicfor its day. Unfortunatley, the same guys that gave us LMAD back in 1980 suffered the same fate they did with Reel to Reel in the USA, but it's a good game show you remember.
