What a crowd we've gathered here at Playhouse on the Center Square for the 3rd Annual Game Show Live! honors. Here at the blog, we tried to come up with the best award show possible. But the Honors are all about the best in 2019. Then we tried some red carpet show, but we couldn't afford an actual red carpet, so instead, we got actual carpeting from a carpet store somewhere in town.
(audience laughter)
Next thing we knew, we tried to get some red carpet reporters, but alas, they puked their $5 box of KFC food when they first saw it.
(audience going "ew!")
Yuck! So we had janitors to pick up the mess and decided to whisk them away to the urgent care clinic. Eventually, most award shows this year did NOT..........and that's the keyword......NOT......have a host. Well, I'm the host and presenter to this fun and fast-paced award show that brings an end to a fantastic year of game shows and reality TV over the world. So let's get our first award up now. Tonight begins the holiday installment of the ABC special "Live In front of a studio audience," but these nominees for Best revival were actually videotaped to show them live on TV and on demand toi the internet world The nominees for Best revival are:

Ok, moving on. The weird thing about game shows is that ineractivity plays an important role in the media and that holds true to these nominees for Best Trivia App.

Nathan: Well, I thought the app would almost get oursleves out of a job, but we survived another year with a full nice load of trivia questions that gives away $4500 each week, and I want to thank the people involved, along with Deyshola and Devyn next to me and director Hal, also to Carolyn and Casey who aren't here, but they wished everybody good luck at the ceremony and we want to see you all next year. Thank you.

Me: Hangtime had cartoony hosts. Words with Friends Live had Tristan Cunningham, HQ Sports had Lauren Gambino and Reward the Fan had Troy Bond. Yeah, they ran the show and made corny jokes, but these nominees for Best Live mobile Trivia host was way better. And the nominees are.....

The award for...."Back where it belongs" award went to Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour for finding a home on Buzzr and giving fans something to watch about.
The award for...."Cover Your Ears!" went to Devyn Howard of Swagbucks Live. In our imaginations, her singing is the voice of an angel, but in reality.....she's just an American Idol reject.
The award for...."Dance as if the nation was already watching" went to Alfonso Ribiero and Witney Carson for their dance routines to introduce each episode of the new Catch 21. Shows you that they still have it after DWTS.
The award for...."The Voice of the Fan" went to Jordan Hass for finally getting a game show podcast off thr ground. It's called "Game Shows, I Suppose" and if you haven't heard it, check Spotify, Pandora, or any other podcast provider in your area for availability.
The award for...."How do you know all this?" went to the trivia experts of "Best Ever Trivia Show".......which strangly enough, also got the award for "If That doesn't work...." for a name change to........Master Minds. This is to not distance itself from the long-running BBC quiz program.
The award for "Variation on a Theme" went to the 2019 edition of Card Sharks for makign it sound so close to the original version back in 1976 when the theme first heard on "Double Dare" on CBS.
The award for "Multitasking without Prejudice" went to Nathan Ondracek for his contributions to Swagbucks Live and his style of D&D play. That's Dungeons & Dragons for you acronym freaks out there. Oh, and sticking with Swagbucks Live.....
The award for....."Old enough to care......Do you?" goes to Casey Hall for her, ahem, "Swag mom" moniker.
The award for "Um.......What?" went to Sean Spicer and his.......um.......infamous DWTS run.
The award for...."Let's Go Back" went to the halloween 2019 episode of TPIR where they took it back to the fifties where the orignal version of the neverending journey on CBS first started on NBC.
And finally, the award for "Career transition game" did not go to Dariany Sanata from going over to Tellie from Trivia Mob, it went to this person.....
Ever since "out of Tune" first graced our phones and tablets, she was a real short....yet sweet, pretty cute young'in. Now, she runs with the big boys in the HQ-niverse with a show of her own. She is always and forever, the tune queen......Ms.Melody Alanna!
