Last week, we told you about Emma taking down Jeopardy! James ending his 32-game streak. But how did this all happen? We investigate in this story plus a Syndicated scoreboard at the end.

James Holzhauer's "Jeopardy!" winning streak came to an end last night, but the game show's ratings bump lives on.
Monday night's episode, which ended Holzhauer's 32-game run and his chances of overtaking Ken Jennings' record, came in as the highest-rated episode of "Jeopardy!" in 14 years, according to Nielsen.
With a 10.1 rating overall and a 2.2 among adults under 50, the show also bested every program in broadcast primetime last night. In the demo, "Jeopardy!" beat Monday night's highest-rated broadcast show, ABC's "The Bachelorette," by more than double.
Holzhauer cemented himself in the "Jeopardy!" record books with winnings totaling $2,462,216 over 32 games, setting several single-game winnings records along the way. Prior to his loss to Emma Boettcher in Monday night's Final Jeopardy round, Holzhauer was just $58,485 shy of Jennings' record total of $2,520,700 over 74 games in 2004.
Turns out, Holzhauer missed out on beating Jennings in one other respect, too. That episode 14 years ago that rated higher than Holzhauer's? Jennings' final game from 2004.

Boettcher, a University of Chicago librarian, on Monday wagered a daring $20,201 during "Final Jeopardy" and walked away with $46,801, considerably ahead of Holzhauer's $24,799 final tally.
Four years ago, Boettcher was a grad student at the University of North Carolina, where she wrote an award-winning master's paper on "Jeopardy!" questions, NBC reported Monday night.
Titled "What is Difficulty?: Estimating the Difficulty of Fact-Finding Questions Using the 'Jeopardy' Archive," Boettcher looked at clue length, syntax and other factors in order to examine the difficulty of answers and questions, according to NBC. UNC's library school gave her the Elfreda Chatman Research Award for her work, NBC said.
Knowledge of what transpired on Monday was made available on Sunday thanks to an unscrupulous leaker.
Executive producer Harry Friedman told the Washington Post in an interview published Tuesday that while he "can't say at this point" who released the footage that featured Holzhauer being bested by Emma Boettcher after a 32-game winning streak, the "Jeopardy!" producers "think we know where and who and how" and plan to take "very, very, very appropriate" against the responsible party.
"Somebody alerted us that they had seen it on YouTube. By the time we saw it, it already had 2,000 views," Friedman told the Post of the leak, which first surfaced online Sunday and spread quickly via social media and media outlets.
"I feel bad for the viewers. It's not fair," he added. "I'm not sure what's gained by doing something like that, other than some malicious intent. It doesn't really benefit anybody."
Holzhauer also set a new Jeopardy! single-game record of $110,914, topping Roger Craig's previous mark of $77,000.
"I had one specific goal, which was to win an episode with exactly $110,914, because that's my daughter's birthday," Holzhauer told New York.
Ken Jennings still holds Jeopardy!'s longest winning streak, with 74 games and $2.5 million in winnings, but Lancaster native Brad Rutter (who played when the rules limited win streaks to five games) is still the game show's all-time money winner with nearly $4.7 million, thanks to tournament winnings.

It turns out that James Holzhauer not only lost to Emma Boettcher, he also lost to CBS Television Distribution's Judge Judy since the skyrocketing numbers for CTD's Jeopardy! were not enough to topple syndication's highest rated show in the important May sweep (April 25-May 22), the results of which were released Wednesday.
Although most strips were down from last May, the declines were relatively minor compared to the steep drops for the networks, which, for example, reportedly saw average losses of 27% among adults 18-49 over the past two years due mainly to heated competition for viewers from streaming video services.

In the household rating rankings that follow, % change is from May 2018; * indicates a new season-high rating; ** indicates a new season low; NC indicates no change from the previous week; NA mean not applicable.

Ratings for each market have spiked 15% thanks in turn to the use of the wild card rule and the 24/7 championship. But one affiliate in San Angelo TX is discerned about the booking and matches of the WWE today. One station manager of KSAN-Tv told me that.....

Nickelodeon is bringing the legendary UK hit game show The Crystal Maze to the U.S. in an all-new version, co-produced by Bunim/Murray Productions (The Real World, The Challenge, Born This Way) and RDF Television (Secret Life of 4 Year Olds, Wife Swap, Shipwrecked), all under the Banijay Group.
A longtime staple of British pop culture and family entertainment, The Crystal Maze--considered the forerunner to the current escape room craze--is a competitive challenge featuring a family team who must utilize physical and mental skills to successfully navigate an elaborate labyrinth of four giant and immersive themed zones.
Casting is underway on the new series (10 one-hour episodes) which begins production on the original set in Bristol, England, this summer. The show's host, who guides the family through each challenge and adventure, and the series premiere, will be announced at a later date.
"As Nickelodeon embraces co-viewing opportunities for every member of the family, The Crystal Maze brings a new type of action game and storytelling to audiences with its escape room-style gameplay and emphasis on collaboration and teamwork to win," said Rob Bagshaw, Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon Unscripted Content.
"The Crystal Maze has long served as a staple of the UK entertainment landscape and we could not be happier to be reinventing the show for a younger demo alongside our sister companies, RDF and Stephen David Entertainment. Nickelodeon's version of The Crystal Maze will feature a team of family members tackling a range of challenges in zones collectively known as The Crystal Maze. Each successful game is rewarded with a 'time crystal' that equals five seconds in the centerpiece Crystal Dome. The adventure culminates in a spectacular finale, as the team enters the Dome to grab a cash prize as it flies around them during a dramatic clock countdown.
A current ratings smash in the UK, The Crystal Maze has been a beloved family and cult favorite since the mid '90s, with the current global popularity of the escape room phenomena reigniting interest further. The show was recently rebooted to great success with celebrity, charity and family seasons in UK, Australia and beyond.
The Crystal Maze is executive produced by Gil Goldschein and Maria Pepin from Bunim/Murray Productions, Neale Simpson from Fizz, part of RDF Television, and Stephen David from Stephen David Entertainment. Production of The Crystal Maze for Nickelodeon is overseen by Rob Bagshaw, Executive Vice President, Unscripted Content. 



It's a sad day for reality TV show fans!
Channel Seven have announced that the game show-style dating program, Take Me Out has been axed!
The show, which saw single men attempt to obtain a date with one of thirty women on a panel, premiered in Australia last year and was hosted by comedian Joel Creasey.
On it's first episode, the show only brought in 604,000 metro viewers according to OZTam's ratings as the show was competing with Nine's The Block and Ten's Survivor in the same time slot.
Announcing the cancellation of the show, Director of Network Programming Angus Ross also said that one of seven's new talent shows would also get the boot.
"Take Me Out and All Together Now will not return," he said in a statement to TV Tonight on Wednesday. Singing show All Together Now was hosted by Ronan Keating and Julia Zemiro and premiered with 813,000 metro viewers last year. But the comments online about the singing competition were far less positive.
Speaking with the Herald Sun last year, Ronan Keating said that he didn't think shows like X Factor interested viewers as much as they used to. "If I'm being honest I think we've had a brilliant run of great formatted entertainment shows like X-Factor and The Voice that do what they do," he said.

"Wait Wait . . . Don't Tell Me!," the popular NPR comedy-quiz show produced by Chicago Public Media WBEZ 91.5-FM, is among this year's nominees for the Radio Hall of Fame.
Hosted by Peter Sagal with resident scorekeeper Bill Kurtis, the program is competing with three others — "The Jim Rome Show," NPR's "All Things Considered" and "The Sounds of Sinatra" — in the Longstanding Network/Syndicated category.
The national shrine to notable radio personalities and programs is headquartered at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago. No other home-grown talent made the list of 2019 nominees announced today.

Games like Loco, Qureka, BrainBaazi, BaaziNow have become a major rife in India, with over thousands of people waiting in anticipation every night just to be able to play these games and win cash prizes in return. Keeping up with all the hype surrounding these games, Facebook announced its first ever Interactive Game show, Confetti, in India, today.

“Confetti is a new social video interactive initiative from Facebook for our Indian users. This is first of its kind live interactive show that is aimed at building community together. It has seen success in various South Asian countries already”, mentioned Manish Chopra, director and Head of Partnerships, Facebook India.
The game show has been planned to air live starting June 12th from Wednesday to Sunday, users would be able to play the game on Facebook’s video platform i.e. Facebook Watch. It was back in June 2018, when Facebook launched Confetti in the U.S, and now the game, hosted regularly by famous YouTube personality, J.D. Witherspoon has come to India. As a part of the game show, users would have to answer different pop culture trivia questions correctly, to be able to bag cash prizes worth INR 3 Lakhs. Also, the nature and vibe of the game, including the questions, and the overall context, will be tweaked to better suit the Indian audience

James Holzhauer and Ken Jennings may be 2 trivia titans on Jeopardy! but they producer nearly or over % million dollars in cash alone. they got a wide range of knowledge and raised ratings over other synide game shows on Tv today. James pulled out of a few close calls and Ken had a few too. Many challengers nearly tried to unseat his throne but both men lost of course......to a woman.  Think about it. KenJen still has 74 but Jeopardy! James had 1/4 a mountain of wins to climb. Most of the games by both men have lopsided leads but to these 2 trivia titans, if you had a trivia team to form, you'd be with these people.
