 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

CBS today announced the group of celebrated international experts who, along with American judges Drew Barrymore, RuPaul Charles and Faith Hill, will help determine via vote who ultimately wins the new global competition series THE WORLD'S BEST. Hosted by Emmy Award winner James Corden, the series is a one-of-a-kind talent competition featuring elite acts from around the globe competing for a $1 million prize and the title of THE WORLD'S BEST.
The acts not only have to impress the all-star line-up of American judges Drew Barrymore, RuPaul Charles and Faith Hill, but they will also need to break through the "wall of the world," featuring more than 50 renowned experts from 38 different countries.
The "wall of the world" is comprised of experts from every field of entertainment, from Bollywood to ballet, K-Pop to comedy, martial arts to magic, and everything in between. "Among them are champions, award-winners, international TV judges and even superstars in their native lands. They are knowledgeable, honest and, at times, outrageous. They bring an entirely fresh perspective to the talent show landscape."
The series, from two of the most prolific unscripted producers in television, Mike Darnell ("American Idol" and "Ellen's Game of Games") and Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, "The Voice"), premieres immediately following SUPER BOWL LIII on Sunday, Feb. 3 on CBS. The Yawn: Buzzr's Twitch channel. Hoping it would be a way to watch Buzzr, the channel got....zapped altogether because of low, paltry viewers. Ouch.

After this commercial word, We go out on the drag strip and race with.......oh wait that's an NHRA drag race. But we are talking about a different drag race when Game Show Live returns.

On with more of the Live! stuff.

The 11th season of Emmy(R) Award-winning "RuPaul's Drag Race" is set to be the most fashionable, fearless and jaw-dropping spectacle in "Drag Race" herstory. The newest queens vying for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar" were introduced via a VH1 YouTube Live hosted by Olympic medalist Adam Rippon and season 10 winner Aquaria.
A premiere date for the new season will be announced soon.
The series recently made history as the first to win Emmys(R) for both Outstanding Reality-Competition Program and Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program categories in the same year. It also scored VH1's first Producers Guild Award for Producer of Game and Competition Reality Show.
"Just when I think to myself - 'shedonealreadydonehadherses' - a new crop of killer queens sashay their way into my heart and leave me gagging for more," said executive producer and three-time Emmy(R) Award-winning host and RuPaul. "Dare I say, this might be the most sickening season of all time."
The fifteen queens competing to make their mark on the Drag-tastic 11th season include:
- A'keria C. Davenport (Dallas, TX) |Instagram: @mizakeriachanel, Twitter: @A_doubleC_D From the legendary drag House of Davenport, A'keria's slick, shiny look makes you sit up and pay attention. The current reigning Miss Black Universe, this super accomplished pageant queen is doing the Davenports proud with her signature aesthetic: "fit, fashion, mug and body." Expect big hair, big attitude and big results from this competitor.
- Ariel Versace (Cherry Hill, NJ) |Instagram/Twitter: @arielversace A life-sized Bratz doll, this queen's Jersey-licious Disney princess aesthetic is already a hit on social media, where she has a significant following. But don't be fooled by a pretty face with a poppin' Instagram presence - Ariel can sing, act and put on a fully entertaining show. You've been warned.
- Brooke Lynn Hytes (Nashville, TN) | Instagram: @bhytes, Twitter: @BhytesBrock Brooke Lynn grew up in Toronto, Canada before traveling the world as a professional ballet dancer. Much of her drag centers around dance and movement and she is a prestigious former Miss Continental pageant winner. Will Brooke Lynn dazzle the judges with the same polish she brings to the dancefloor?
- Honey Davenport (New York, NY) |Instagram: @honeydavenportofficial, Twitter: @Honey_Davenport New York City's crown jewel, Honey is the second cast member hailing from the legendary House of Davenport and cites "Drag Race" alum Sahara Davenport as a mentor. With parts in Off-Broadway plays, an electro band and 18 pageant crowns under her belt, queens know to bow down to this talented diva.
- Kahanna Montrese (Las Vegas, NV) | Instagram/Twitter: @kahannamontrese Las Vegas's hip-hop showgirl, Kahanna merges edgy street influences with upscale high fashion couture. After seeing Kahanna perform just one time, "Drag Race" legend Coco Montrese adopted this spitfire performer and Kahanna's drag identity was born. Will Kahanna finish the job that Coco Montrese started?
- Mercedes Iman Diamond (Minneapolis, MN) | Instagram: @mercedesimandiamond This African princess moved from Kenya to the USA when she was 11, but Mercedes wasn't "born" until 10 years later at the world famous Gay 90s club in downtown Minneapolis. All about the "body-ody-ody," Mercedes owns any stage she sets foot on, dazzling the crowd with her graceful presence and the expensive bling she is named after.
- Nina West (Columbus, OH) | Instagram/Twitter: @ninawest This comedy queen has a big reputation preceding her into the competition. Nina has won the national Entertainer of the Year pageant and writes and produces her own spectacular shows complete with show-stopping dance numbers. She's also an advocate and fundraiser for LGBTQ causes. But can this local legend live up to all of her hype?
- Plastique Tiara (Dallas, TX) |Instagram/Twitter: @plastiquetiara Originally hailing from Saigon, Plastique takes a lot of drag inspiration from Vietnamese pop stars. Stunningly beautiful, her popular Instagram drag photos have even been reposted by Tyra Banks. With none other than "Drag Race" superstar Alyssa Edwards for a drag mother, all eyes will be on Plastique to see if she can deliver in the competition.
- Ra'jah D. O'Hara (Dallas, TX) | Instagram: @therajahoharashow Ra'jah is from Dallas, Texas, where everything is bigger, better and bolder. A dancing queen known for her kicks, splits and tearing up the dance floor, the "D" in Ra'jah's name stands for Davenport: this season's third cast member from the Davenport dynasty. A high energy performer, Ra'jah warns her competitors to watch their backs when she is lip-synching.
- Scarlet Envy (New York, NY) | Instagram: @scarletenvy, Twitter: @ScarletEnvyNYC Southern beauty mixed with New York City grit, Scarlet pulls from references as varied as movie stars of the 40s, Andy Warhol superstars of the 60s and supermodels of the 80s. A self-described "natural beauty," Scarlet has worked with fashion photographer Steven Klein, Harper's Bazaar magazine and even appeared in a musical number on Saturday Night Live.
- Shuga Cain (New York, NY) | Instagram: @missshugacain, Twitter: @ShugaCainNYC A relative newcomer to drag, Shuga quit her sweet six-figure corporate job to become a full-time drag queen. But talent rises to the top, and within 18 short months Shuga has already established herself as a key fixture in the competitive New York City drag scene where she relies upon her performance background in opera and musical theater to stand out from the crowd.
- Silky Nutmeg Ganache (Chicago, IL) | Instagram: @silkyganache The life of the party, you always know when exuberant "Big Silk" is in the building. But scratch the surface of this gregarious queen and you'll find a softer side to Silk- one who was raised in the church, has a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership and is even on her way to becoming a Doctor of Philosophy. Let's hope her accolades translate into success in the competition.
- Soju (Los Angeles, CA) | Instagram/Twitter: @shotwithsoju Raised in Korea, Soju brings Korean influences into her drag, be it colorful crazy K-Pop aesthetics or Taekwondo martial arts weapons. Producer and star of the popular YouTube show "Shot With Soju," where queens spill the beans about their time on "Drag Race," Soju comes into the competition fully prepared for her own shot at the crown.
- Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (Los Angeles, CA) | Instagram/Twitter: @VanessaVanjie Miss Vanjie. Miss Vaanjie. Miss... Vaaanjie! Never have more iconic words been uttered by a departing queen. Despite being the first queen eliminated from season 10, Vanessa's mesmerizing backwards exit inspired memes, tweets and celebrity shout-outs and an overwhelming demand to see more of this charismatic queen. She's back with a Vanjeance, but can the queen live up to the memes?
- Yvie Oddly (Denver, CO) | Instagram/Twitter: @oddlyyvie Denver's "commodity of drag oddity," shock queen Yvie bucked her boring local drag scene and brought conceptual artistry into the mix. Tall and weird (her words), Yvie draws inspiration from fashion muses like Thierry Mugler, and drag stars like Christeene. Known for bringing her brain to the table, anyone who encounters Yvie is guaranteed to end up with their jaw on the floor.

On Your marks, Let's start, The Family.......Food Showdown?

Yes, Families that cook together stay together, and those that do it well have the chance to win $10,000 on new Food Network series Family Food Showdown. Valerie Bertinelli hosts as families face off in a fast-paced, action-packed culinary competition beginning on Sunday, March 3rd at 8pm ET/PT.
In each episode, two families are pitted against each other in three rounds of challenges designed to test their cooking skills, recipes and family dynamics. The teams must blow away a rotating panel of culinary experts including Kardea Brown, Clinton Kelly, Antonia Lofaso, Daphne Oz, Jamika Pessoa, Christian Petroni, Courtney Rada, Jake and Jazz Smollet, Tori Spelling, Jet Tila, Isaac Toups, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, Molly Yeh and more, to keep their family pride and take home the grand prize!
"Family Food Showdown has all the ingredients to captivate audiences with tension and unpredictable twists, mixed with family heritage and tradition, and even some comedic relief, as the families cook together on the clock in a high-stakes showdown," said Courtney White, President, Food Network. "Host Valerie Bertinelli adds in her signature charisma and charm to this relatable family-centric culinary competition."
The action unfolds as two families, comprised of three family members, endure three rounds of cooking challenges with surprising curveballs as they vie for advantages along the way. Throughout 13 hourlong episodes, the competing teams tackle challenges from Sunday suppers and delicious leftover dinners, to taco fiestas, and over-the-top breakfasts in their bid for the grand prize. During the first round, the families must work together to create a dish that represents who they are as a family. As the competition progresses to round two, family recipes and dynamics are put to the test when Valerie announces that each family must eliminate one member of their own team. Strategy ups the ante in the last round of the contest, as each team must eliminate someone from the other team, putting the weight of the competition on the shoulders of one final family member for each. Only one family in each episode will earn $10,000 grand prize and keep their family pride.
Fans can get to know the families before every episode on Food Network's app as they take on a series of digital-only challenges and can catch Valerie and the judges play a series of Beat the Heat games on Food Network's Instagram Stories. Also viewers can go behind the scenes of the competition with insider photos and top video moments at FoodNetwork.com/FamilyFoodShowdown, and join the conversation anytime by using #FamilyFoodShowdown.

For more news, we go across........the pond.

The Chase is turning 10 years old. Can you believe that?

Chasers Shaun Wallace, Mark Labbett and Jenny Ryan were in fine spirits last week after winning Best Quiz Programme at the NTA's and held forth on a number of subjects.
Mark Labbett teased fans with the news that plans were afoot to do something "massive" to celebrate the show's tenth anniversary.
"I would think we are the biggest quiz show in the world right now, in terms of market coverage, and I'm actually certain we've got the best game show presenter in the world now in Bradley Walsh, and we're only getting bigger...we've got big plans for our tenth anniversary this year...it's going to be something massive." Labbett said.

Wedding Day Winners, the quiz show hosted by Lorraine Kelly and comedian Rob Beckett, has been axed, according to reports.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Lorraine said: "It was a great show and I loved doing it. But it's OK because I have got my hands full doing my breakfast show to be honest. "I'm a lucky girl to get to do what I do."
The show, which aired at primetime on Saturday evenings last year, found betrothed couples and their families competing to win 'dream prizes and a chance to get married in front of the nation'.

And finally, The BBC is reportedly working on a UK version of American gameshow The Wall - with Danny Dyer as presenter.
The Wall features a 40-foot pegboard with various slots at the bottom (similar to Plinko on The Price Is Right).
Across four rounds, contestants answer questions and drop balls in to the titular wall, aiming to win huge cash prizes.
A smash hit for NBC in the US, the show has travelled to over twenty countries worldwide - and the UK could be next.
The Sun suggests that the BBC has ordered a pilot episode, with none other than Danny Dyer attached to host.

Time for a Gamestop Game Break. Figure out that Password Plus Puzzle from 1980.

Think real hard after this Google Play music interlude because making their first 2019 appearance are our Game Show Live! mixed tag mixmasters, Scott & Ryceejo.

Oh yeah, you know what a mashup is but do you know what the answer is?

Ouch. Socrates drank the hemlock that killed him. Don't drink and educate, people.

Last segment. What does this remind you of? Take a look at this wacky TPIR moment in recent history......

Maybe the folks working for Price should've stopped the tape and delayed to check and see if she was in the......you know, but what does this remind you of?

We all remember the incident in the late 70's where it was very rip roaring with laughter, but that wasn't the only moment on CBS' #1 daytime show........

Daniel Jimenez was the victim of being......late. Maybe next time Price should use port-a-potties 5 feet away from the studio during breaks.
