 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

An iconic television studio spanning over 60 years is getting sold. What?

CBS has selected LA real estate investment firm Hackman Capital Partners as the winning bidder for the company's iconic Television City facility near the corner of Fairfax and Beverly, a source familiar with the deal tells Deadline.
The transaction is not yet final, but the value is said to be well north of $700 million. Word first surfaced last year that CBS was considering shopping the 25-acre site, where shows like All in the Family was produced and early television figures like Jack Benny performed.
CBS declined to comment.
Hackman has backed several notable developments in LA, including the current expansion and modernization of Culver Studios. The home to classic Hollywood productions like Gone with the Wind and soon to be the Southern California base of Amazon.
Real estate values have been surging, especially in the neighborhood around the storied Television City site, where about a half-dozen shows including The Late Show with James Corden, The Price is Right and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher are produced. Next door to Television City are The Grove and the Farmer's Market, which have transformed the area over the past decade-plus.

We'll have more developements available.

After this commercial word, A new TPIR model. Is it a he or a she?

That's.......when Game Show Live returns.

Looks like The Price Is Right scored a touchdown with its latest choice of male model.
Former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Devin Goda will make his debut on the hit CBS daytime game show on Monday, Oct. 22.
The retired NFL player — and prolific Instagrammer — will join a cast of models that includes Rachel Reynolds, Amber Lancaster, Manuela Arbelaez and James O'Halloran.
"We are very excited to welcome Devin to The Price Is Right family," executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement. "Devin fits in perfectly to Price because he is all about positivity, building people up and doing what he can to make the world a happier place … just like The Price Is Right."
Goda already has a way with numbers, as evidenced by his on-field stats at Slippery Rock University, where he holds second-place records in receptions (173) and receiving yards (2,259). Those numbers propelled him to a postgraduation pro career in Baltimore, where he played three games until he was sidelined by a hamstring injury. At that point, his attention shifted to modeling, which led to his recruitment by the team at The Price Is Right..

Lighting up this next story......

Pre-heat your ovens and rev up your generators: ABC has announced the 2018 premieres of The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition and The Great Christmas Light Fight.
The Great Christmas Light Fight's sixth season will get underway on Monday, Nov. 26, at 8/7c. Each episode of the competition pits four decoration-happy American families against each other in an attempt to win the Light Fight trophy and $50,000. Carter Oosterhouse and Taniya Nayak will return as judges.
The following week, The Great American Baking Show returns — with a tweaked title — for Season 4 on Thursday, Dec. 6 (9/8c). New host/Spice Girls member Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton will join returning host Anthony "Spice" Adams as they preside over a group of bakers' weekly challenges and eliminations; Sherry Yard, a James Beard Award-winning pastry chef, will join Baking Show stalwart Paul Hollywood on the judges' panel.
In December 2017, ABC pulled from its schedule Season 3 of Baking Show after sexual misconduct allegations were brought against judge/pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini by four women who had worked with him at the New York restaurant Jean-Georges. Vallery Lomas later was revealed as the season's winner via a video posted to the show's Facebook page.

British commercial television network Channel 5 has commissioned NBCUniversal International Studios-owned prodco Monkey to produce the game show format Celebrity Game Night for the UK.
The 6 x 60-minute localized adaptation will see six different celebrities join presenter Liza Tarbuck (Upstart Crow) and team captains Danny Baker (BBC Radio 5 Live) and Susan Calman (Strictly Come Dancing, The Boss) to battle in head-to-head party games with the help of a live band.
Monkey's William Macdonald will executive produce the series, which was commissioned by Channel 5's Sebastian Cardwell.
Celebrity Game Night is based on the Primetime Emmy-winning Hollywood Game Night (pictured) format from NBCUniversal International, which distributes the series internationally.
The original Hollywood Game Night format was created by actor/producer Sean Hayes and producer Todd Milliner for NBC in 2013. Hosted by Glee actor Jane Lynch, the series is now in its sixth season and has since been remade across 19 territories, with the UK marking its 20th.

Here's a scenario that might play out next week. Wheel of Fortune viewer yells at his or her screen: "I can solve that puzzle! 'I Have to Make a Mortgage Payment." For one fortunate fan, that might no longer be true.
The venerable game show is trying something new for its 36 season in syndication: giving one viewer the chance to win a house. Wheel is teaming with Minto Communities and Margaritaville Holdings to give away a new home valued at $350,000 at Latitude Margaritaville, a new active adult community. A winner of the "Home Sweet Home Giveaway" will be chosen at random.
To enter, viewers should tune in to Wheel of Fortune each night during the week of October 29-November 2, take note of the bonus round puzzle solution and input it at http://www.wheeloffortune.com for an entry.
"After 35 seasons it's not an easy feat to do something for the first time, but thanks to Latitude Margaritaville, we're doing just that by giving away a house," said Wheel of Fortune executive producer Harry Friedman. "Our viewers welcome us into their homes each night, so we're returning the favor by welcoming one of them into a new home of their own."
There are three of the Latitude Margaritaville communities that embody "the no-worries lifestyle of fun, food and music inspired by Jimmy Buffett" — as the builder puts it — but the parties didn't specify which of them might a be Wheel viewer's future address.
