Now we move on to the segment where we pick the ugly sweater from the festive mistletoe. It's the Yay & Yawn of July.

The yay: Total Knock Out. It's move to last Wednesday helped CBS get back in the picture along with Big Brother and Code Black.

The yawn: Caroline & Friends. Being deemed as a knockoff to AFV and ironically, produced by the same people behind it, this left fans scratching  their heads thinking it may or may not be a game show. That leaves AFV as the longest running undisputed competition on TV.

After this commercial word, what hath Craig Ferguson returned? That's...............when Game Show Live! returns.

(fade to break)

Madison: Some members of our viewing audience will receive....

A gift pack of Pepsi products. Today is Christmas in July, so what better way to give your loved ones the best gift of Diet Pepsi, Wild Cherry Pepsi and Mountain Dew products. Happy holidays.....if you live in the southern hemisphere. Now back to our Uber Sleigh driver, Pierre Kelly!!!!

Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back. Later, we attempt The Zoom challenge.....with Zoom from The flash.

Remember Craig Ferguson on Celebrity Name Game? Well.....

The Time It Takes could be heading to ABC Joe Lycett's new gameshow is being piloted for American TV, with Craig Ferguson hosting.
The Time It Takes will launch on a BBC One in a Saturday night slot later this year, with members of the public racing to answer as many questions as possible within the time it takes competitors to complete specific tasks. So they could, for example, choose between sucking up 5,000 frozen peas using a vacuum cleaner, removing the plastic wrapping from 10 CDs or getting an inflated airbed back in its box to see what gives them the longest chance to answer questions.
When the show was announced last month, Lycett said: 'Never before has so much relied on someone knowing how long a kettle takes to boil. The Time It Takes is one of the most brilliantly daft shows I've ever been involved in — and that's saying something.'
Now a US version is to be shot for the ABC network with former late-night chat show host Ferguson overseeing events.

The pilot is being recorded at the BBC studios in Pacific Quay, Glasgow, on August 4 with Scotland-born comedian Ferguson, who previously hosted Celebrity Name Game, taking over the role of Taskmaster's Joe Lycett. It has been casting for UK-based American contestants to take part.
The show will see members of the public race to answer as many questions as possible within a specific time limit. However, instead of it being a pre-determined amount of time, the limits will be set with a difference. For instance, viewers could choose to answer questions in the time that it takes for Tower Bridge to come all the way down or to solve a Rubik's cube underwater or unwrap an entire family pack of toffees. Other silly challenges include figuring out whether it would take longer to pack an air bed back into a box or fill a welly boot with custard using a turkey baster.

Desperado....why don't you read this next story?

The epic robot-fighting series BattleBots returns with even higher stakes for the second half of its 2018 season as momentum builds towards the 2018 World Championship and the awarding of the Giant Nut to the ultimate BattleBots Champion.
As part two of the season commences, some bots are already on the brink of elimination, including several fan favorites. In order to give them a last chance at qualifying for the championship, BattleBots is staging its first ever 'Desperado' Tournament, where 8 teams will be given the chance to win one guaranteed place in the final 16 qualifiers. It's a fight to the death, and only one robot can win. The Desperado Tournament is the first of 10 new episodes in the second half of the season, and is set to premiere Friday, August 4 at 8 PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel and Wednesday, August 8th at 9 PM on Science Channel.

Time to head into the Game Show Live! mailroom. Remember Killarney Star from Friday? Well, she writes this as a nice Christmas in July present and it says:

"Hey Pierre and the GSN Team, thank you for featuring my video! I am so honored! Thanks so much for being a Patron of my music and for this very cool TV show blog. Small world, my cousin Alicia is the Talent Producer for Ru Paul Drag Show, and Ru Paul is like a part of their family, she is fun to follow on Insta at https://www.instagram.com/pixoflosangeles/ :D"

Well bless your heart lady, you bring the house concert vibe to the world's biggest game show party where everybody brings the chips and dips and snacks and drinks to give it a much cheaper way to go to a concert without paying $35 to see Justin Timberlake or $125 to have an up close and personal look at Taylor Swift. We tell everyone time and time again to support indie music. It helps the artists get on the road and pay bills to create more music. So thanks Killarney and keep rocking. Madi2themax,  where can they send their grievances and praises?

Madison: To write to Pierre with your questions, comments or just plain fun stuff,  please send it to the email address below or write it via snail mail to:
GAME SHOW LIVE!
1711 ALLY MAQUE DRIVE, Ste. 101
GRIMSBOROUGH
Be sure to include a self addressed Stamped envelope when you write. Back to the mall Santa of suburbia, Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thanks Madi. Remind me not to sit on my lap at a Cyberstation next to the food court.

Network Ten has used its multi-channels Eleven and One to give its new nightly game show Pointless as much exposure as possible, screening the program across all its channels at 6pm last night.
A similar strategy was employed for Family Feud throughout its run, with the Grant Denyer fronted show bringing in 690,000 metro viewers across the three channels for its first episode four years ago.
Ten's replacement offering, Pointless, had 493,000 using the same approach last night. The number, however, was significantly up on Family Feud's conclusion, which wrapped up on Sunday night with a metro audience of just 213,000 metro viewers.
Beverley McGarvey, chief content officer for Ten, said the network was pleased with the performance of Pointless.
"We know it is early days, but we are very happy with last night's Pointless ratings and are delighted audiences have welcomed the show into our line-up," she said. "We look forward to building the show further in the coming weeks and months and appreciate the great job that Mark and Andrew are doing."
Ten, however, did have the most-watched entertainment program of the night, with Masterchef (918,000, up from last week's 815,000) significantly ahead of Australian Ninja Warrior on Nine (888,000, up from last week's 838,000).

And a bit of a programming note, Double Dare does something they haven't done since 1993.....

I know my good friends at Buzz'd Out are so psyched for this, you will too.

Time for a Gamestop Game Break. We found this wish list and we want to know what gift goes with which fictional character.

This fictional wizard wants a mop to keep herself from melting and can clean up puddles. Who is that wizard you ask? Figure it out after a Google Play Music Interlude from our Game show Live! mixed tag mixmasters Scott and Ryceejo celebrating the unofficial summer holiday by playing the very first video ever played on their Youtube channel.

What's the answer? If you said The Wicked Witch of the West form the Wizard of Oz, you are correct! And the reason why she wanted a mop is because of this scene you're about to see.....

Ever wished you could step back in time and dress like a game show celebrity from way back when? Well, wonder no more. It's......our Game Show Live!......
