On your mark..........get set..................Go Again!

Classic kids game show Double Dare is returning to Nickelodeon. The network has ordered 40 new episodes for a new generation of trivia, stunts, wringers, hamster wheels and nose picking. Premiere is slated for this summer.
Nick says the new version will feature the gameplay and challenges its original millennial audiences remember from the show, as well as appearances from blasts from the past and stars from today.
Double Dare features two teams competing to win prizes by answering brain-bending trivia questions, completing messy, physical stunts and ultimately facing the infamous obstacle course–the human hamster wheel; the classic gigantic mouth; the wringer; and the iconic Double Dare nose.
This is the latest classic franchise brought back by Viacom networks, joining MTV's TRL and the Jersey Shore reboots.
Double Dare premiered on Oct. 6, 1986, on Nickelodeon, and ran from 1986-1993, making it the network's longest running game show. Shortly after its debut, Double Dare became one of the most popular original daily programs on cable television. The series went into syndication in 1988, and was later revamped as Super Sloppy Double Dare in 1989. The show also ran on broadcast television as Family Double Dare in 1988, followed by new versions on Nick, including Double Dare 2000.

After this commercial word, AI tries to turn things around. That's...............when Game Show Live! returns.

For the first time in the history of American television, a reality-competition series will allow viewers to watch and vote from both coasts simultaneously as "American Idol" is simulcast in all time zones across the country over a three-week span, starting SUNDAY, APRIL 29 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:01 p.m. PDT), on The ABC Television Network.
Viewers will be able to vote by text, via AmericanIdol.com/vote and on the American Idol app. Results will be revealed at the end of each show in real time, across all time zones.
"We set out on a journey to find the best talent this nation has to offer," said Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment. "As we head into the next phase of the 'American Idol' competition, it only makes sense to let every viewer from coast to coast experience the magic of live television and have the ability to vote for America's next superstar."
As the country gears up for next week's historic nationwide viewing, don't miss TONIGHT'S all-new episode. America's votes are in and the Top 14 take to the "American Idol" stage LIVE for performances and elimination results, as the search for America's next singing sensation continues and the Top 10 are revealed, from (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), streaming and on demand. Joining superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie is Emmy(R) Award-winning host and producer, Ryan Seacrest.

"Hollywood Game Night," hosted by Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch, will join the Red Nose Day celebration on Thursday, May 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with some of the biggest names in entertainment set to prove their pop culture chops.
Kelly Clarkson ("The Voice"), Sean Hayes ("Will & Grace"), Jack Black ("Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle"), Chelsea Handler ("Chelsea"), Isla Fisher ("Wedding Crashers"), Sarah Silverman ("I Love You, America"), Sasheer Zamata ("Saturday Night Live") and Cedric the Entertainer ("Why Him") will compete in support of the mission to end child poverty.
Additionally, blink-182's Travis Barker will join the "HGN" house band, The Scorekeepers, as a guest drummer for the evening.
The two teams will play Red Nose Day-themed versions of fan-favorite games, including Super Smash the Buzzer, Clue-Boom!, Lil Picassos and more.
In this special edition of "Hollywood Game Night," the gameplay works a bit differently - the team that gets the most points in each game earns money to be donated to Red Nose Day. At the end of five rounds, the team that's earned the most money will go on to play a special Celebrity Name Game for the chance to raise even more funds. As a national partner of Red Nose Day for the past four years, M&M'S(R) will be donating $1 million to the fund and contributing all money raised over the course of "Hollywood Game Night" that evening. The Red Nose Day campaign has raised more than $100 million since 2015 to help end child poverty.

Reality TV apparently does impress Shania Twain much:
The singer has been tapped to headline a country music competition series for USA Network. Titled Real Country, the project — which finds the former Voice advisor co-hosting alongside fellow country music star Jake Owen — emerging solo artists, duos and groups will perform in showcases that spotlight "the rich traditions, songs and themes of specific country genres," per USA. The best artists from each showcase will perform in a grand finale, for the chance to be named one of country music's next breakout acts..

Game Show Live! acknowledges the following Daytime Emmy Award winners this year:

- Outstanding Game Show Host: Wayne Brady (Let's Make a Deal)
- Outstanding Game Show: The Price Is Right (CBS)
- Outstanding Directing in a Game Show: The Price Is Right (CBS)

On to Quizzo. They shrinkwrapped their games down to one. Why? 2 is too much like HQ does weekdays and every other live online game must go once. Cash Show is still around for more than 2 every day. The start time is 9:30 CDT and the prize is a whopping............$250. Ugh. But it helps that every correct answer leads to some key questions that'll connect you 15 to the big $10,000 Sunday Select game. Plus, themes pop up here and there so you'll never see the same theme twice. How nice is that?

Veteran producers Holly Wofford and Jane Y. Mun have been named as executive producers and showrunners for TKO: TOTAL KNOCK OUT, a new one-hour obstacle course competition series from executive producer Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, "The Voice," "Shark Tank"). The 10-episode series will premiere in summer 2018 on CBS.
As previously announced, Kevin Hart will serve as the host and an executive producer. "Holly and Jane are incredible producers and have separately worked with me for many years," said Burnett. "I am thrilled to put them together to lead our TKO team. They are both top-level network showrunners, and I look forward to working alongside these amazing women again."
Emmy Award-nominated producer Holly Wofford has worked on numerous successful television franchises. She started her career at "America's Most Wanted" and went on to work with Burnett on CBS' SURVIVOR before developing the format for "American Ninja Warrior" and "ANW: USA vs. Japan." In addition, she executive produced and was the showrunner on network series "America Ninja Warrior," "Strong," "The Island" and "Supernanny," among others.
Jane Y. Mun's credits include some of the biggest awards shows, music specials and groundbreaking events on television. For over a decade, she produced both "The People's Choice Awards" and "The MTV Movie Awards," with Burnett, as well as "The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards." Her additional credits include "Lip Sync Battle Live," "America's Best Dance Crew: All Stars" and "The Sing Off."

We press on to.......

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the GSN facebook page everything and anything.

Celeste Arnold will begin with.....

"I really enjoyed warching Cash Cab from one to two in the afternoon and ten to eleven in the evening but now you took the afternoon show off. I'm so disappointed and Steve Harvey gets to be on fourteen times a day. NOT FAIR!"

Not fair is right. Maybe Yvonne Sturegon can say it.....

"Not happy that you got me hooked on Cash Cab from 2-3pm Eastern, then this wk you changed it to Catch 21!"

GSN must've changed their minds at last minute. On to Vahan Nishain.

"GSN Please, drop the film look. Why are you giving shows a film look? That's not how videotape is supposed to look like; videotape is supposed to be smooth and fluid. You didn't do this last year with $25,000 Pyramid and others, why are you doing this now?"

Guess it was tape damage and stuff.

We move on to Raymond Dunton.

"What happened to Cash Cab? It used to be on at 2PM, but now it seems to only be on at 11PM. This show was great. Please bring it back in the afternoon."

They wanted more variety not the same old show they repeat. On to Rick & Betty Roble.

"Any chance of adding Hollywood Squares to the line up?
Your channel is a godsend for my elderly parents. Please return Chain Reaction to the afternoon. They love it. It is very stimulating for them."

I think GSN would in a heartbeat. One more from Richard  Leonard.

"My family watches your network. However, since your new host,Steve,we don't watch family feud anymore because he has lowered the moral standards so much that my younger family just can't watch it. Too bad. The constant immoral rhetoric is just too much. He thinks he is funny but not to a young audience. Terrible. We like to watch the Chase but where are the new shows. You show the same shows over and over,"

Guess he doesn't like Steve.

Time for a Gamestop Game Break. Give us this Idiotest to stare.

No automatic alt text available.

Think about it after a Google Play Music Interlude as we pay tribute to the class of 2008 with Taylor Swift.

Figured it out already? It's Han Solo. That's because the other 5 were child actors. Character was the keyword here.

Our Chief PYL big board Mechanic got this to say in a snap.......

That's right, next month. Can you believe that? Also, he told us the thoughts of the latest Avengers movie.

We go back 10 years to........

Catch 21. Take Top Card and add Merrill Heatter to produce and you get this wonderful hit GSN show with Alfonso Riberio hosting and Mikki Padilla dealing the cards in a race to 21 for $25,000. 3 rounds were played and passing was the strategy to keep it under the gun. Plus prizes were added for hitting it on the nose. Even Bounce aired the reruns to it. Proven to be a real winner, the show had 5  seasons and it was a good one.
