 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

ABC is getting back in the games this summer, setting June 10 premiere dates for Celebrity Family Feud, The $100,000 Pyramid and To Tell the Truth.
Season 4 of the Steve Harvey-hosted Celebrity Family Feud will kick off the night at 8 PM, followed by the third-season premiere of The $100,000 Pyramid with Michael Strahan at 9 PM. Host Anthony Anderson and To Tell the Truth then return for the Season 3 bow of To Tell the Truth at 10 PM.
Here are the details, per ABC:

Celebrity Family Feud (8-9 PM) Hosted by television personality and best-selling author Steve Harvey, Celebrity Family Feud returns for its fourth season on ABC. A celebrity version of Family Feud the 10-episode series will feature celebrity families and their immediate family members or their extended TV families, competing against each other to have fun and win money for charity. Celebrity family teams that will be playing for charity this season include the following: Team Kardashian vs. Team West, Steph Curry vs. Chris Paul, Ice T & Coco vs. Vivica A. Fox, Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott vs. Amber Riley, Team Grey's Anatomy vs. Team Station 19, Team NBA on TNT vs. Team MLB All-Stars, and Laurie Hernandez vs. Shawn Johnson, amongst others. Celebrity Family Feud is produced by FremantleMedia North America and is taped in front of a live audience in Los Angeles, California. Gaby Johnston and Jennifer Mullin are executive producers.

The $100,000 Pyramid (9-10 PM) Hosted by Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan, The $100,000 Pyramid is the timeless word association game in which two celebrities and their partners face off in a race against the clock to make it to the winners' circle and take home $100,000. The $100,000 Pyramid is produced by SMAC Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television and is taped in front of a live studio audience in New York. "The $100,000 Pyramid" is executive produced by Michael Strahan, Constance Schwartz and Vin Rubino.

To Tell the Truth (10-11 PM) Hosted by the star of ABC's hit comedy Black-ish, Anthony Anderson, To Tell the Truth is a funny re-imagination of the beloved game show that first aired in 1956. This version takes the excitement to another level, featuring fun characters from pop culture. Anderson's mother, Mama Doris, is also part of the fun as a commentator. In each round, the panel is presented with three people who all claim to be the same person with the same incredible talent, job or achievement. One is sworn to tell the truth while the other two use every trick they can to deceive the panel. The panel of celebrities has a chance to grill each participant before taking turns deciding who they think is telling the truth. To Tell the Truth is produced by FremantleMedia North America. Alycia Rossiter, Jennifer Mullin, Jeff Gaspin, George Moll and Anthony Anderson are executive producers.

But there is more.

Get ready to bang a gong and get it on — again. ABC has set an 8 PM Thursday, June 21, for the Season 2 premiere of The Gong Show, hosted by cheeky British comedy legend Tommy Maitland (aka Mike Myers).
The irreverent talent show competition makes its way from the 1970s into the 21st century with a bang, celebrating unusually talented and unique performers on a primetime stage. A revolving panel of judges including returnee Will Arnett praise, critique and possibly gong the contestants. Most performers will go home with their unique talent that only a mother can love, but each week, the winning act with the highest judges score will receive The Gong Show trophy and a check.
"The Gong Show" is produced by Den of Thieves, Electric Avenue Productions and Principato Young Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television and is taped in front of a live audience. "The Gong Show" is executive produced by Will Arnett, Peter Principato, Marc Forman, Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager, Mike Myers, Jason Weinberg, Conrad Green. Jared Morell, Jordan Barrow, David Bohnert and Chris Choun are co-executive producers

ABC will the best this summer!

Now we find out who made a splash and who hit their heads on the diving board. It's the YAY & Yawn of April.

The Yay: DWTS getting an all athlete season. It proves that jocks are well at the show....and some....not so much.

The Yawn: Quizzo. At once there was no host and no audio to show for it and also, the questions worked well. To soften the blow, free keys were used. How's that for an incentive?

After this commercial word, the perks of live online hosting.  That's...............when Game Show Live! returns.

(fade to Break)

Madison: Some members of our viewing audience will receive.....

Rain Gear from Carhartt. When the weather man tells you about the rain chances on TV, get out your Carhartt rain gear and see if there is a shower....or a thunder storm. Now back to our early morning meteorologist, Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back. Later on, how to put toothpaste on Oreo cookies. Ick!

Survivor and The Amazing Race are sticking around!
CBS has announced Survivor and The Amazing Race have been renewed for the 2018-2019 television season.
The Amazing Race, hosted by Phil Keoghan, just aired its Season 30 finale in late February. The Amazing Race aired on Wednesday nights last season and concluded with former Big Brother houseguests Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson -- who got engaged in February -- winning the $1 million grand prize.
Jessica and Cody defeated the runner-up team, "Dating Couple and Yale Debating Teammates" Henry Zhang and Evan Lynyak, for the win.
As for Survivor, the network is currently airing Survivor: Ghost Island, the franchise's 36th edition overall.
Jeff Probst continues to serve as the host of the long-running reality competition series. The latest Survivor: Ghost Island episode featured the highly-anticipated merge, and the finale is set to air Wednesday, May 23 at 8PM ET/PT. Survivor's finale will be a special two-hour episode, followed by the live reunion show from 10-11PM ET/PT.
The season premiered on February 28, with 20 new castaways -- divided into two tribes, Naviti vs. Malolo -- competing for the $1 million grand prize and the title of "Sole Survivor." Showcasing the series' extensive history, a new twist has sent players to a separate Ghost Island filled with Survivor relics, including hidden Immunity Idols and advantages, that were misplayed from the previous 35 seasons of the show. The castaways' goal on Season 36 is to "reverse the curse" of former players who have been haunted by their mistakes in the game.

Culinary superstars Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis are back to mentor and judge ten culinary hopefuls for a shot at stardom in the new season of Food Network Star, premiering Sunday, June 10th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. Over nine episodes the finalists are tasked with challenges that test both their cooking and on-camera skills, as they try to prove to Bobby and Giada they have what it takes to be a star. Before the main competition gets started, Valerie Bertinelli and Tyler Florence return to co-host a new season of Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen, premiering on Sunday, May 27th at 9pm ET/PT, as eight former finalists battle it out to earn a spot on the new season. FoodNetwork.com's Star Salvation, hosted by Alex Guarnaschelli, also returns to give finalists eliminated during the season a chance to rejoin the on-air competition. Tune in to the finale on Sunday, August 5th at 9pm ET/PT, to see who is crowned the newest FOOD NETWORK STAR winner.
"This season's talented competitors have put everything on the line and left everything they have known behind to follow their dreams, hoping to earn a spot in the rarified world of food television," said Courtney White, Executive Vice President, Programming, Food Network and HGTV. "Guided by Bobby and Giada, viewers will be amazed and inspired to see how the finalists develop, not only in THE KITCHEN but in front of the camera, as they transform into what they hope will be the next Food Network Star."
On the May 27th premiere of Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen, eight former finalists are back to show they have grown from their previous time in the spotlight. Valerie Bertinelli and Tyler Florence welcome the competitors back and challenge them with reinventing a TV dinner, while showing they've overcome the flaws of their past. The alumni must then marry two unlikely favorites and show off their creations in a well-executed, one-minute demo. One competitor is not up to par and eliminated from the competition. Over the course of the three episodes, Valerie and Tyler put the competitors through their paces to determine who will return as a FOOD NETWORK STAR finalist.
In the season premiere on June 10th, the ten FOOD NETWORK STAR finalists are greeted by Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay at Universal Orlando Resort's Volcano Bay to kick off the competition. But first they are in for a surprise, as the finalists learn the results of Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen and who will be joining the competition. As the competition kicks off, each finalist must make a portable version of their signature dish as they go head-to-head against each other, trying to convince park guests to try their unique creations. The heat is on and it's not just the volcano, as Bobby and Giada decide who will be the first sent home.
Over the course of the season Bobby and Giada are joined by special guests as they pull out all the stops to see which of these finalists have what it takes to excel, both in THE KITCHEN and in front of the camera. Whether it is hosting their own live show with Ree Drummond in attendance, or putting their judging skills to the test to impress People Magazine editor-in-chief Jess Cagle, these culinary novices have their work cut out for them.
Other special guests joining the action this season include: Sunny Anderson, Richard Blais, Anne Burrell, Fran Drescher, Tyler Florence, Tregaye Fraser, Duff Goldman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Robert Irvine, Loni Love, Damaris Phillips, Jason Smith, Casey Webb, and Molly Yeh.
The finalists this season are: Harrison Bader (Los Angeles, CA); Katie Dixon (Hattiesburg, MS); Jason Goldsmith (New York, NY); Samone Lett (Sanford, FL); Rebekah Lingenfelser (Savannah, GA); Palak Patel (New York, NY); Christian Petroni (Port Chester, NY); Jessica Tom (Princeton, NJ); Chris Valdes (Miami, FL); Manny Washington (Orlando, FL).The returning Comeback Kitchen alumni battling it out to join the new season are: Trace Barnett (season 13); Adam Gertler (season 4); Debbie Lee (season 5); Yaku Moton-Spruill (season 12); Sarah Penrod (season 10); Amy Pottinger (season 13); Monterey Salka (season 12); and Jernard Wells (season 12).

Ink on this!

Paramount Network has greenlit a new season of the highly rated hit original tattoo-competition series, "Ink Master." Season 11 will consist of 16 one-hour episodes.
The announcement was made today by Chachi Senior, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Paramount Network. "Ink Master" is produced by Truly Original.
"Ink Master" is currently in its 10th season and still a ratings powerhouse - ranking #1 with Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49 timeslot on cable.

And now, for a Game Show Live! Exclusive!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YS6VFMYGAl0

It all started with HQ Trivia, attracted billions of people and from there, The Q Trivia came along. Now everybody's cashing in on the live online quiz shindig. But the hardest job of all when you're not playing: Online Trivia Host. he or she stands there behind a green screen where people see moving graphics while in real time while reading questions and facts off a screen the people playing can't see like live TV newscasts. The perks of it is that he or she convinces people to win money. The emotions of the host adds drama to the fact that the game gets harder once the 4th question arrives. That's where people start to weed out wrong answers most of the time. As the questions get more harder, the hosts show even more emotion making it an easy job. But the dress code is like of any other game show host you see on TV. Scott started it out with just a suit and still does, but the Q broke all the rules with the "Come dressed as you are" routine. Another thing is to say something funny. As long as you are a comedian, part of an improv group or just plain acting, we don't care if it's funny or not. So good luck being a live online quiz host, because being live in a very small room with cameras with tons of people playing along is..........fun.
