There's The Fantastic 4......The 4 Tops.........The Fab Four.......and this.
The Four, a new reality singing competition coming to Fox early next year, has reportedly signed on three of its judges.
The Four will star music mogul Diddy, music producer DJ Khaled, and Republic Records president Charlie Walk as three of the four judges, TMZ reported.
The show with a hip-hop emphasis is reportedly looking for a big female performer to fill the fourth slot on the judging panel, and three names in the mix are Fergie, Meghan Trainor and Bebe Rexha.
Fox, which will confirm the judges and additional show details at a later date, announced it had ordered The Four in August 2017. No date of release has been announced, but TMZ further reports that they plan on doing so in January.
The show is based on an overseas format that will begin where many reality singing competitions end: with only four talented finalists in the competition for the show's title.
As previously reported, the four finalists will be chosen by the show's judging panel of music-industry experts from an initial round of auditions. The competitors must attempt to defend their coveted spots on the stage as they are challenged individually by new singers determined to unseat and replace them.
Every time a finalist outperforms a challenger, he or she will move on to the next week of competition and perform again until the season ends.
Don't flinch on this next story.....
Netflix has ordered a Jackass-meets-Wipeout-style game show from Sony Pictures Television-backed British producer Stellify Media.
The SVOD service has commissioned a multi-part run of entertainment format Flinch (w/t) from the non-scripted firm.
The show, which was known as Chicken during development, sees a number of brave and crazy contestants attempt to withstand pain and discomfort in a series of hilarious games designed to make them scared. Three celebrity hosts bet on which contestant can withstand the most pain, and the losing host faces the same fate in their very own game of chicken.
It was commissioned by Nat Grouille, Netflix’s senior manager of unscripted content, and is set to go into full production shortly.
It is one of the biggest non-scripted entertainment formats from the streaming firm since launching the Sylvester Stallone-exec produced competition reality series Ultimate Beastmaster, which was picked up for a second, 10-part run earlier this week.
It is a major win for Stellify Media, which was established by Secret Fortune creators Kieran Doherty and Matt Worthy in 2014 with backing from the Hollywood studio. The company made BBC1 primetime Saturday night physical game show Can’t Touch This (pictured), which was piloted by Fox in the U.S., and co-produced Channel 5’s remake of classic dating format Blind Date. It currently is adapting Spanish street-based game show Don’t Say It, Bring It for BBC Worldwide-backed broadcaster UKTV.
BET gets Carded!
BET has greenlit a new game show series, Black Card Revoked, to premiere in January, the network said Thursday.
The show, based on the party game of the same name, will debut Jan. 10, according to network officials.
Comedian Tony Rock will host the series, which will test players’ knowledge of the nuances of the African American perspective - from pop culture milestones and entertainment moments to historical facts and politics.
The original creators of the popular party game, Latesha Williams and Jay Bobo, will serve as co-executive producers. David A. Hurwitz, will also serve as executive producer for Alternative Productions, Inc. under his Bill’s Market & Television Productions banner, according to BET.
Black Card Revoked follows on the heels of the September debut of BET's game show series Face Value, hosted by Deon Cole.
Masterchef gets spicy!
Telemundo has announced that chefs Benito Molina, Claudia Sandoval and Ennio Carota are the three judges of the first season of MASTERCHEF LATINO, a format that comes to U.S. Hispanic television for the first time in 2018. In this culinary competition hosted by Mexican TV star Aracely Arámbula, the trio of cooking experts will have to choose one among a group of cooking amateurs as the nation's first MasterChef Latino.
Born in Mexico City, Chef Benito Molina has worked in renowned restaurants in Europe, Latin America and the United States, in addition to receiving prestigious culinary awards and being recognized as one of Mexico's best chefs. Currently, he owns Manzanilla, the first Mexican restaurant in Baja California where everything on its menu is cooked in firewood.
Chef Claudia Sandoval, winner of the sixth season of MasterChef U.S., now joins the first season of MasterChef Latino. Born and raised in San Diego, California, to a family originally from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Claudia grew up with her mother and grandmother, who taught her how to cook since she was a little girl. After winning the coveted title of MasterChef, she began a successful culinary consulting and catering company under the name "Claudia's Kitchen," in addition to working with important brands and publishing the bestseller "Claudia's Kitchen: A Taste of Mexico" in 2016. Her culinary style is a modern take on Mexican coastal cuisine.
Chef Ennio Carota is one of the most beloved and well-known Italian exponents of his country's cuisine. He has traveled the world as chef, entrepreneur and TV host. Considered a perfectionist and a tireless seeker of quality and simplicity, Ennio was a judge in three seasons of MasterChef and MasterChef Junior in Chile. Born in Torino, Italy, cooking has given him the opportunity to travel the world and know the diverse cuisines of Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, North America, Latin America and Europe. After working at famous restaurants in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, he launched an Italian restaurant in Santiago, Chile, where he currently resides.

But the big story is this..............
Fifteen of Jeopardy‘s boldest, brightest and most viral contestants from the past two seasons will convene Nov. 6 for the long-awaited Tournament of Champions.
The two-week event will conclude on Nov. 16 and 17, with $250,000 going to the winner. (Second place nabs $100,000, while third place goes home with a respectable $50,000.) The contestants are made up of the 11 players who won the most games since the last Tournament of Champions was held in 2015. Additionally, two College Championship winners and two Teachers Tournament winners will also compete.
Let’s begin with the latest contestant to capture America’s hearts/Twitter accounts: New York City native Austin Rogers. With a grand total of $411,000 in prizes won over 12 games — his streak came to an end earlier this month — the quirky player has collected more money playing Jeopardy than any of his competitors. But will he be able to sustain that momentum?
The other eight contestants competing in the semifinals:
* Andrew Pau from Amherst, Ohio. (Won six games, totaling $170,202.)
* Buzzy Cohen from Los Angeles, Calif. (Won nine games, totaling $164,603.)
* Lisa Schlit from Berwyn, Pa. (Won six games, totaling $139,100.)
* Pranjal Vachaspati from Urbana, Ill. (Won six games, totaling $137,088.)
* Alan Lin from Riverside, Calif. (Won six games, totaling $123,600.)
* Tim Aten from Vermilion, Ohio. (Won seven games, totaling $107,499.)
* Lilly Chin from Decatur, Ga. (Won the College Championship, earning $100,000.)
* Jason Sterlacci from Somerset, N.J. (Won the Teachers Tournament, earning $100,000.)
When tuning in today, fans may notice that Alex Trebek and the contestants are all wearing dark blue ribbons. Along with the rest of the Jeopardy! staff, they do so in honor of six-time Jeopardy! winner Cindy Stowell, who would have qualified for this year’s Tournament of Champions but lost her battle with colon cancer on December 5, 2016.
Jeopardy! also made a $10,000 donation to the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) in Cindy’s name.
