Stephanie Panisello: From Coast to Coast, Shore to Shore, Border to Border and beyond the far reaches of our galaxy's solar system, it's time to go all the way live on....

Now here is America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!!!!!

Me: And we're here for Game show Live! As live as it gets, as live as it happens and as live whenever you feel like it.

Today's program is presented this month by Party City, but we start with the opening tossup on a legend.

Monty Hall passed away at 96 this past Saturday. He was known for decades of dealing on Let's Make a Deal and make the show an institution. He was also the 2nd and most recent host of Split Second back in 1986. He had his only taste in Goodson-Todman with Beat The Clock in 1979 and before that, Video Village for Heatter-Quigley. He has done work in his native Canada and is on the Canada and Hollywood walk of fame joining Howie Mandel and Alex Trebek. He was also a good actor, too. May he will be TV's big dealer and the spirit that'll live on thanks to Wayne Brady. We will return in a moment.

Well now, that music did make you happy, didn't it? Welcome back to Game Show Live! Later on, we look back at the mass shooting that went on in Las Vegas.

(song fades out)

On to some news and stuff.

In an episode airing today, Sept. 28, the long-serving “JEOPARDY!” announcer will be recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records for the “longest career as a game show announcer for a single show.”
Since the syndicated debut of “JEOPARDY!” in 1984, Gilbert’s iconic “This...is...Jeopardy!” show opening has welcomed millions of fans as they tune in each day.

“I am incredibly honored that my work on ‘JEOPARDY!’ has been recognized with a Guinness World Record,” Gilbert said. “For more than 30 years, I’ve looked forward to coming to work every day. ‘JEOPARDY!’ producers, crew, and contestants make every episode new and exciting and I love being a part of it.”

Gilbert claimed the record by serving as ‘JEOPARDY!’ announcer for 32 years, 7 months, and 30 days as of the tape date for today’s episode, and on July 28, 2017, the last episode of ‘JEOPARDY!’ season 33, his record was officially adjudicated. It now extends to 32 years, 321 days and counting.

Gilbert and host Alex Trebek share the distinction of being the show’s two longest-serving employees -- only the two of them have been there since the very beginning.

“It’s remarkable that, after all these years, Johnny makes the show sound fresh,” said ‘JEOPARDY!’ executive producer Harry Friedman. “Even after more than six decades in show business, his natural enthusiasm still creates an exciting atmosphere for contestants and viewers alike, and it’s a pleasure to work with him.”

Gilbert began his professional career as a nightclub singer and was originally trained by an opera teacher. While still in high school, he started his career as a singer with a dance band in his hometown of Newport News, Virginia. By the time he graduated, he had become a comedian, master of ceremonies, and singer in a Jacksonville, Florida nightclub.

Gilbert honed his skills as a full-time nightclub performer touring as a singing emcee, entertaining coast-to-coast from Bimbo’s in San Francisco to the Hotel Bradford in Boston.

He went on to tour with the United States Army, where he received his first television assignment as an emcee. He then went on to New York, where he became host of ABC-TV’s “Music Bingo” and then on to Los Angeles where he was master of ceremonies of KTLA-TV’s “Words and Music.” During this time, he was introduced to movie audiences through a role in “Gidget Goes Hawaiian.”
Before he found his calling on ‘JEOPARDY!,’ Gilbert was the announcer for episodes of several other game shows, including “The $25,000 Pyramid,” “The Joker’s Wild,” “Tic-Tac-Dough,” “Anything for Money,” “Every Second Counts,” “The Price is Right” and more. He also served as Dinah Shore’s announcer on her popular syndicated daily talk show throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The episodes of those shows do not count towards his Guinness world record.

A Hollywood institution on the market?

From Curbed
CBS might be shaking up the future of Television City, an institution that dates to the 1950s and that’s still home to prominent productions, including The Price Is Right and The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Sources tell The Real Deal that CBS Corporation is preparing to put the property on Beverly and Fairfax on the market. It has reportedly already interviewed brokerages for the job of marketing the 25-acre plot.

It’s not yet clear what’s to come for the campus, designed by Gin Wong at the firm Pereira and Luckman. As The Real Deal notes, there are a lot of unknowns:

The network hasn’t indicated if it intends to vacate the property entirely, sources said. The nature of what will be marketed — a full sale, a sale-leaseback or a ground lease — remains unclear.

The Real Deal reports that here are at least two “major developers” interested in the site, located near The Grove and the Farmers Market.

CBS’s old headquarters in Hollywood were reborn in 2016 as Columbia Square, a mixed-use development by Kilroy Realty that holds office space, the Hollywood Proper extended-stay residences, and a NeueHouse coworking space.

Along with "The Price Is Right", shows currently taping at Beverly & Fairfax include "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance".

October 24th....a week before Halloween exactly.......

Starting October 24, Tuesday nights on TBS will be fueled by hip-hop, comedy and culture with the reboot of a classic game show, Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild airing at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Immediately following, the new celebrity-led rap battle contest Drop the Mic, based on the wildly popular segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden, is hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin and will premiere at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
"Drop the Mic and Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild further redefine what audiences have come to expect from TBS and perfectly complement each other for an hour-long block of high energy, competitive fun," said Michael Bloom, senior vice president of unscripted and special event programming for TBS and TNT. "The passion and comedic creativity behind each show is infectious and sure to generate weekly surprises for everyone."

TBS has teamed up with entertainment icon Snoop Dogg with Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild. Snoop Dogg, who counted The Joker's Wild as his favorite game show growing up, hosts TBS' new version set in his very own casino that includes a gigantic slot machine, giant dice and playing cards. The game features a variety of categories with a Snoop-a-fied touch and includes cameos by Seth Rogen, Wiz Khalifia, Karlie Kloss, Michael Strahan, Method Man, Regis Philbin, Kelly Osbourne and Karrueche Tran. Streetwise questions and problem solving, not just book smarts, rule the floor with all the action controlled by the one and only Snoop D-O Double G.

TBS will extend Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild through digital experiences and let fans play along with the official free online game accessible via the TBS Android and iOS apps or online at TBS.com beginning October 24.

Leading up to the premiere of the show, TBS will release an exclusive documentary series titled Gettin' Wild with Snoop Dogg that will give fans a first-hand look behind the scenes of the making of the show. Directed by the five-time Emmy(R)-winning documentary filmmaker Rory Karpf, the six episode series follows the icon's transformation into game show host and explores his creative process behind the show's reboot. The docuseries will be available on the TBS app, TBS social media handles, including the Facebook Watch Tab, and via TBS.com.

TBS and Snapchat are partnering on an original, creative face-in-video Lens feature Snoop Dogg beginning on October 18 to promote Snoop Dogg Presents: The Joker's Wild. This is the first animated, sponsored face-in-video Lens next to a celebrity. Snoop Dogg will dance in the Lens next to the Snapchat user, who will be a dancing joker. The Lens features custom green screen footage of Snoop Dogg shot exclusively for this Lens experience.

TBS 'stacks the deck' by adding Jeannie Mai (The Real) as 'Lady Luck,' the vivacious hostess of Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild who brings good fortune and friendly assists to Snoop and the contestants. Mai is best known as the host of the two-time Emmy nominated daytime talk show series The Real and the twice Emmy(R) nominated television series, How Do I Look? Previously a style correspondent on Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Extra, E News, Jeannie has also hosted live on the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards(R), Grammy's(R), American Music Awards(R) and Oscars(R).

Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild is produced by Sony Pictures Television, in association with Turner's Studio T. Snoop Dogg serves as executive producer, along with two-time Emmy(R) winner, Super Bowl Champion and Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan. Also executive-producing are Vincent Rubino, Constance Schwartz-Morini for SMAC Entertainment and Ted Chung for Merry Jane.

Immediately following Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild, TBS premieres its new celebrity rap battle contest Drop the Mic based on the enormously popular segment from the Emmy(R)-winning series The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin, each week Drop the Mic pits four stars from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and pop culture to face off against each other in a rap battle royale packed with lyrically creative genius and "Did they really just say that?" moments. At the end of each head-to-head battle, the studio audience votes to determine the winner.

Still in production, with more top talent match ups to come in season one, the celebrity line up already includes Anthony Anderson vs. Usher, Mayim Bialik vs. Kunal Nayyar, James Corden vs. Nicole Richie, Jesse Tyler Ferguson vs. Chrissy Metz, Gina Rodriguez vs. Rob Gronkowski, Tony Hale vs. Timothy Simons, Chris Jericho vs. Laila Ali, Michael Bennett vs. Vanessa Hudgens, David Arquette vs. Brian Tyree Henry, Nicole Scherzinger vs. Lil' Rel Howery, James Van Der Beek vs. Randall Park, Rascal Flatts vs. Boyz II Men and more.
Drop the Mic is produced by CBS Television Studios. James Corden, Ben Winston for Fulwell 73 and Jensen Karp serve as executive producers, with Joanna Gallagher as co-executive producer.

What can you do with more than an Amazon Echo? Why........play games!

Amazon really loves buttons. First, it released the Amazon Dash button that allowed users to order previously purchased products in a matter of seconds.
Now, Amazon is unveiling Echo Buttons, accessories for the Amazon Echo that can be customized by developers to add additional experiences to their apps.

The example Amazon gave at its Amazon Echo 2017 event was that the small, hockey puck-shaped Buttons could be used as a buzzer in a new Trivial Pursuit app from Hasbro.

While Buttons might at first be used as faux-game controllers for experiences, they’re certainly not relegated to only those apps – they're versatile enough to be used in a number of other applications down the road.

Some games include Sounds Fun with Mike Epps, Buzzer Beater Basketball Trivia with Karl-Anthony Towns, Fourth Down Football Trivia with Philip Rivers, Full Count Baseball Trivia with Buster Posey from Ground Control, as well as Beat the Intro from Musicplode.
The Buttons will be available to purchase in sets of two for $19.99

We have a follow along on Funny You Should Ask. The rating is......

0.5. Ouch.

But we move on to......

http://www.qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/blockbredring.wav

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the GSN facebook page everything and anything. Let's start with Michael Anthony Castellon asking if GSN would do a tribute to Monty?

It's a yes. It'll be this Sunday. Fire your DVRS for it. Next is Charlie Alexander.

Dear GSN,
I was wondering if you can do a morning of game shows from the 70s and 80s from 8am to 2pm and game shows from the 2000s and 2010s from 2pm until paid programming. Could you?
Love, Charlie.

We'll wait for GSN to respond. In the meantime, Sophia Wyeth says....

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease say that Hellevator is coming back for a 3rd season later this year? Pretty please? Hallowe'en season won't be the same without it!

Cone on GSN.....say it! On to Lecey Wood.

please put family feud back on without the other games ..i know i watch them over and over, but i enjoy it.

It's always on, darn it! What about Darlene Ansley Williams?

Why can't you show Steve Harvey earlier in the evening?.You moved his show to 1 AM and I can't sit up that late.

Just why, Darlene? Because GSN wants to. Johnathan Lahti gets the last one:

Hey GSN, how about spending your money on more classic game shows instead of all those episodes of Harvey Family Feud. Those Feuds I have already seen and I want to see the older game shows that were on before I was born. Maybe you should also bring back Shop Til You Drop because it looks like the Hedrick family is always asking for that show. You should get the rights to episodes from the very beginning of the series.

They should right about........NOW!

Before we continue on, this Friday on Livewire!, we'll talk about where Eva Pigford Marcille is now. See why this Friday.

Now on to a new game called.....

Madi2theMax: Incoginto.

When Madison Brunoehler is not doing impressions just for fun, she "allegedly" and I mean by that, sneak in as a contestant on TV game shows. So tell us, what game show did she sneak herself in?

Here's a hint: Pat Sajak before Wheel.

Ponder on that after a Google Play music interlude as we bring back a horrific.....yet devine tradition.

SVENGOOLIE!

Now let's reveal the answer and pull back the curtain.....

Puzzlers. The show that starred Pat Sajak before he replaced Chuck Woolery on Wheel of Fortune. Tune in next week to see where she goes incognito.

Let's celebrate....
