 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

We have a Game Show Live! follow along on the Wayneys. Our oddsmakers have been working 8-hour shifts and have the up-to-date odds on the shows. Remind yourselves that this is not for gambling purposes and is for entertainment purposes only and in no reflects those of GSN The Know Industries, Hyperion and Warner Communications or its employees.

IF you picked Save to Win, keep in mind it's the favorite and it's a 2:1 odds pick. What about The Wall? I'd say it's a 25:1 longshot. Yes, a 25:1 longshot, so don't bet on the show that's a hit for NBC. Otherwise, go with Divided. Right now, Divided is 10:1. And with the 2nd season underway, the odds can get higher. The Jeff Varner incident may be a hard pick, but i'll say 5:1. Finally, That's the Word from totally.tv may be the 2nd best pick yet at get this........50:1. The million to one pick to beat for the Wayney award. So those are the odds for the nominees unless the oddsmakers change their minds for another work day.

Welcome back to Game Show Live!  Later on, we will discuss the troubles of Usher and why he didn't disclose herpes.

(song fades out)

But we'll start with the changes WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel of Fortune will bring this season.

-There will be a new category called "What Are You Wearing?"

Yes, Wheel has added one for you fashion freaks out there.

-You can now pick your bonus round category (from a choice of three) prior to the round starting.

I'll take a guess as to why Sony took this idea......

Oh yeah, Wheel 2000. A Saturday morning version of America's Game on both CBS and GSN way back in 1997. Hasn't Cyber Lucy gone VR?

-$5k Every Day is gone for good. The bonus now is $10k if the mystery wedge is won that day.

And the last change.....

$35k is the gimmick cash. Yes $35k. Wheel at 35 makes it alive! This fall!

Breaking from the news stuff, I heard someone had a birthday last weekend. So this'll be a perfect time for a special edition of......

Anyone remember Who's Still Standing with Ben Bailey?.................well............................

Armoza Formats has been commissioned by Greek Broadcaster Antenna TV (ANT1 TV) for the first season of the primetime game show Still Standing.
Created by Israel’s Channel 10 and July-August Productions, Still Standing (60′) offers contestants the chance to win $1-million by out-guessing 10 opponents in 10 fast-paced trivia battles. As time runs out, contestants are dropped from the game, straight through the studio floor.

The studio-based format will make its debut in Greece in September.
Most recently, Still Standing was commissioned in India, while Italy extended its third season.

3....2....1......CRUSH!

Spanish broadcaster TVE has greenlit two dramas and an array of entertainment shows for its networks, including the first format co-developed between Barcelona-based Mediapro and Madrid’s Phileas Productions.
Crush is a gameshow in which teams of four people must answer questions by standing on the answers they think are correct, or else they will be ‘crushed’ by locked safes.

The format is distributed by Imagina International Sales, part of the Mediapro Group that appointed long-serving Keshet executive Ran Tellem to its content team last year.

Producers in the US, France and Benelux have already picked up Crush for local adaptation after it debuted at Mipcom last October.
TVE has also ordered another season of Danish format comedy On the Edge, which was first produced by DR for its TV3 network. Known locally as El Forastero, the show sees comedians visiting local communities and is being produced with Barcelona-based prodco Brutal Media.

GSN has a new sheriff in town.

Game Show Network (GSN) announced it has appointed Mark Feldman as its president and CEO.
In picking Feldman, the developer of the Wheel of Fortune slots and Bingo Bash games has chosen an insider to succeed David Goldhill, who is stepping down after a decade running the company, which is co-owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment and AT&T Entertainment Group.

Feldman was previously GSN’s executive vice president and general counsel. GSN consists of GSNTV, a top-40 cable entertainment network distributed to nearly 80 million subscribers, and GSN Games, one of the world’s leading social, mobile, and online games companies.

“GSN TV is unique in the entertainment television landscape in our persistent commitment to our core audience through game show programming in all its forms, including classic, contemporary, and increasingly, interactive shows,” said Feldman in a statement. “GSN Games has become a world leader by providing our players compelling opportunities to play anytime, anywhere, whether on their own or in a huge variety of always available competitions.”

He added, “I am grateful to Sony and AT&T to be entrusted with the challenge of continuing our growth in a rapidly changing media landscape, and I look forward to working closely with them in the days ahead. I could not be more excited to team with GSN’s many outstanding professionals throughout the globe in crafting the next chapter of our development.”

Sony Pictures Television Networks president Andy Kaplan said in a statement, “Mark is a talented leader with a history of success at GSN, and I believe he has the right vision and strategy to achieve future growth in the company’s television and digital games businesses.”
Feldman joined GSN in 2008 and has been responsible for legal and business affairs, business development, and GSN’s innovation lab, 1-800-Nothing.

1.....2.......3........4...........

THE FOUR begins where most competitions end: with the four finalists. Four super-talented and fiercely competitive singers, chosen from their auditions by the show's panel of music industry experts, will try to defend their coveted spots on the stage, as they are challenged individually by new singers determined to replace them. Each week, if any of the four are outperformed, they'll go home and their challengers will take their place.
And those challengers could be fans who had been sitting on a couch one week, and singing onstage the next. Viewers who think they've got the talent to compete and unseat the four singers onstage will have the opportunity to submit an audition video. America will have the chance to decide who is brought onto the show by voting on the available streamed auditions and influencing which challengers will take on THE FOUR and shake up the competition.

If the existing four singers outperform their challengers, then they survive to sing another week, until the end of the season, when the singers have safely secured their spots on stage and face off against each other, resulting in one being named the winner. At stake is the ultimate prize: the panel of industry experts becomes key players on the winner's team. This elite group of star-makers will help shepherd the winner's career and be fully invested in making him or her a breakout star.

Expert panelists and additional information regarding THE FOUR will be announced soon.
THE FOUR was created by Armoza Formats and is produced by ITV Entertainment in association with Armoza Formats. David George, Adam Sher, David Eilenberg, Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh, Simon Thomas, Becca Walker, David Friedman, Avi Armoza and Nehama Cohen will serve as executive producers.
