And now from our Game Show Live! Newsroom, here comes Pierre Kelly!

Me: Thank you Madi2theMax, welcome to Livewire!  I'll start with this fun fact: Last year's Academy Awards was 3 hours, 37 minutes. Livewire! plans to be much shorter than that. So skip all the boring montages, put away your dresses and stay out of the red carpet as we step on the 70's inspired shag carpet and award our news........with sass.

Some DWTS couples news for you. Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have revealed they will both be returning to Dancing with the Stars for its upcoming 24th season, which is set to premiere Monday, March 20 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

The couple announced the big news six weeks after welcoming their first child together, son Shai Aleksander, during a Tuesday appearance on Good Morning America

Here's hoping Shai will be on the show in 18 years from now.

An articale in ET shows that Chad Johnson was interested in the "villian" Corinne Olympios by texting and thinks Nick Viall is boring. Really? Well, Nick may have had the last laugh.....

ABC has released the broadcast schedule for the rest of The Bachelor's Season 21 episodes.

Viewers will only see a one-hour episode next week on Monday, February 27 at 8PM ET/PT in which Nick Viall is surprised by his ex-girlfriend and former The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman, who will offer up "a bombshell suggestion" regarding the Fantasy Suites.

Nick will then send either Corinne OlympiosRaven GatesVanessa Grimaldi or Rachel Lindsay home during a "painful" Rose Ceremony in New York.
The reason for the change in The Bachelor's schedule is that ABC will be airing the first night of its new When We Rise miniseries on February 27 from 9-11PM. (The Bachelor typically airs a two-hour episode every Monday night beginning at 8PM ET/PT).

An eight-part, four-night miniseries, When We Rise will chronicle the real-life personal and political struggles and triumphs of a diverse family of LGBTQ men and women who helped pioneer one of the last legs of the U.S. Civil Rights movement.

Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell will be among those guest-starring on When We Risewhich will star Guy PearceMary-Louise ParkerRachel GriffithsMichael K. WilliamsAustin P. McKenzieEmily SkeggsFiona Dourif, Jonathan Majors, and Ivory Aquino.

Two-hour broadcasts of When We Rise broadcast will air every night next week except for Tuesday, when ABC will air live coverage of President Donald Trump's address to Congress from 9-11PM ET/PT.

I'm guessing if it's the same for DWTS, it'll be a 12-part, 6-night miniseries called "When we Fall" about the XFL's lone season. It starts Anthony Hardy as Jonathan Coachman, Dennis Haskkins as Dick Ebersol and the cheerleaders played by Natasha Martinez, Shelly Martinez, and more among others. Followed by an all-new Match Game PM.

This will make you "Click." This past Sunday Night, Ryan Seacrest's $50 million dollar mansion caught fire. Ryan posted a pic of the aftermath showing some burned out structures, but he added, "Thank god everyone is ok." Our sources say it was an electrical fire off Seacrest's driveway ... which spread to nearby trash cans.
Ryan bought the sprawling Bev Hills estate from Ellen DeGeneres back in 2012 for $49 mil. The 9,200 sq ft home sits on nearly 3 acres, and apparently ... it's mostly intact after the fire. He'll be staying in with Brian Dunkleman..............as his butler.

And right now we have a new segment called.....
List This!

With the Bachelor being the long-running dating show, we list the top 3 dating shows voted by our newsroom.
Number 3:
Dating Naked
Now in its third season, Dating Naked appears on VH1. Hosted by Rocsi Diaz and shot on location in Bora Bora, each episode features two contestants, one man and one woman, who strip down to nothing and go on adventurous blind “dates” with other naked people. Then, each week, the contestants decide if they want to keep “dating” the person or chose to date whoever is next in line. Each season runs for 12 weeks. VHI likes to explain that the show is a “social experiment” that “explores the art of romance, free of preconceived notions, stereotypes – and clothes.” If all goes well, maybe Trisha Hershberger would host it in syndication. I dunno.
Number 2:
Beauty and the Geek
There have been many different versions of the show Beauty and the Geek that have aired all over the world. The American version was produced by Ashton Kutcher, Jason Goldberg, and Nick Santora and aired for fours season on The WB (which then changed over to The CW) from 2005-2008. The show paired “beauties,” women who relied on their looks with “geeks,” men who were super smart, but lacked social graces. By the fourth season, the roles were reversed with beautiful men paired with geeky girls. And Divided host Mike RIchards was there to host it, too.
And the #1 dating show of all-time is......
The granddaddy of all dating shows....

The Dating Game
This was the daily game show that started it all. The Dating Game premiered on ABC on December 20, 1965 and continued on in popularity through 197. A revival series aired in syndication from 1978-1980 and another from 1996-2000. Jim Lange served as the show’s original host but the stars of the show were there single men and women looking to score a chaperoned trip/date. The show featured a male or female contestant seated on one side of a wall and three eligible bachelors or bachelorettes who sat on the other side of the wall. The contestant would ask silly questions to the three and after a short period of time, would have to decide on which they would like to go out on a date with. The show was enormously popular and many TV and movie celebrities appearing on the show (some before they were famous) including John Ritter, Teri Garr, Tom Selleck, Farrah Fawcett and Vyonne “Batgirl” Craig.
And our dishonorable mention:
It Takes a Church
Christian singer Natalie Grant hosted a whole new type of dating show called It Takes a Church that ran on the Game Show Network from June 2014 to March 2015. Each episode featured a single, unsuspecting member of a church who was presented with potential mates chosen by the church’s congregation. The suitors who were not chosen were given free one-year memberships to the dating website Christian Mingle.
And you know what? I want to bring up Nashville singer Mags Duval with a song that's a top 10 hit on the Grimboard charts. Here is....Stay Lonely.

That's all for now, but remember one thing: When doing a rose ceremony, have all ladies grab as many hankerchiefs and Kleenex tissues and paper towels as you can when crying. It makes for great reality television. So until next time and all the time....play on playas.
