Sue Sylvester goes to Washington

She has hosted many Hollywood Game Nights on NBC and now.....she'll play a popular SNL character favorite.

Jane Lynch will be playing Janet Reno in Discovery’s scripted drama “Manifesto,” Variety has learned.
The Emmy-winning “Glee” actress and “Hollywood Game Night” host joins a cast that includes Paul Bettany and Sam Worthington in their first major U.S. TV roles, Chris Noth, and Keisha Castle-Hughes.
“Manifesto” tells the story of how FBI agent Jim “Fitz” Fitzgerald (Worthington) deployed a radical approach to intelligence gathering to take down Ted Kaczynski (Bettany), also known as the “Unabomber,” one of the most infamous criminal masterminds in the world. Reno, who oversaw Kaczynski’s capture and conviction, was the first woman to serve as Attorney General. On-screen, Lynch will interact most with Noth’s Don Ackerman, the Bay Area Divisional Head of the FBI who supervised the Unabomber Task Force.
Discovery ordered the project to series at the end of March 2016, and production will start in Atlanta on Jan. 30 with an eye toward a premiere later in 2017. Greg Yaitanes (“Quarry,” “Banshee”) will executive produce, direct and serve as showrunner. Andrew Sodroski created the series and serves as an executive producer, and Jim Fitzgerald will serve as consulting producer. “Manifesto” is produced by Lionsgate and Trigger Street Productions. Lynch is repped by UTA and attorney Adam Kaller.  And in a related note, Lea Michelle will play Monica Lewinsky.
Get ready, get set....Get an Sirius XM radio.

From Celebrity Name Game to radio, Craig Ferguson will join Sirius XM. Set to debut Feb. 27, "The Craig Ferguson Show" will broadcast live from Los Angeles.
"This is premium, quality, drive-time entertainment. It's like 'Game of Thrones' in your car without pictures. Also, given recent events on earth, I wanted to return to a daily show without the restriction of wearing pants or shaving [anywhere]," Ferguson said in a statement.
"I look forward to working in an environment that has zero censorship and zero network interference. The melon-farmers at SiriusXM told me to say that."
"Craig Ferguson is a great broadcasting talent with a singular style, and we are thrilled that he is bringing his wit and talents to SiriusXM," added Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer for SiriusXM.
"Throughout his impressive, award-winning career, Craig's irreverent charm has won over millions of Americans, while proving himself a true original. Now with his daily show on SiriusXM, Craig will deliver a completely original comedy show to our national audience, a commitment from a triple-threat talent that we are very excited to launch."

Loren Lee Chen has trolled the Golden State Warriors in final "Jeopardy" the last two nights on the show.

Jeopardy! champion Loren Lee Chen made reference to the Warriors collapse by wagering $301 in his final “Jeopardy!” Tuesday night and followed it up with $739 on Wednesday, a nod at the team’s record last season. He later tweeted this after the show:

No word yet on when someone from the Detroit Lions bet $16 because of their only season and teh only team so far to go 0-16.

Old School news!

Central Florida will get caught in a Trivia Trap....

http://www.qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/tpirerooo.wav

....when Bob Eubanks brings game show fun to  The Sharon on Jan. 29 at 5 and  8 p.m. for a game show program you won't forget. Trivia Trap won't be on the menu.

They Think his career is over.....

TV comedian Rory McGrath has pleaded guilty in court to stalking a married woman over a period of 14 months.
McGrath, 60, admitted the charge when he appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court in Cambridgeshire.
His guilty plea follows an earlier denial of the single charge of stalking at an earlier hearing at the court in November.
He changed his plea on the first day of his trial.
McGrath, who regularly appeared as a team captain on sport-themed game show They Think It’s All Over, and more recently in comedy documentary Three Men in a Boat, was accused of sending the woman electronic messages, and of approaching her in the street and following her.
He is also alleged to have sent letters to the woman’s husband.

GSN has tried it in America, but the original UK version started all that.
The game show has been slammed with "fix" allegations over the past few months after one of the masterminds broke the rules on screen but the 56-year-old host is adamant the programme isn't staged and allows him to mess around with the contestants.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the National Television Awards, held at London's O2 Arena, on Wednesday (25.01.17), he said: "It goes from strength to strength. It's a fantastic achievement. It's all down to the production team, 1200 shows now, what's that 4800 people coming through. If someone was telling me at ITV, it hasn't reached its full potential yet, so that's quite frightening.
"Who knows, we could be on at the turn of the next century. It's the actual fun of doing it, and I get to play along 'The Chase', which is great, the beauty of it is I never see the questions, so the beauty of it is sometimes I know it, most the time I don't, and then we have a bit of banter. It's a lot of fun. It's a sensational format."
As well as working on the game show, Bradley is also keen to make another album following the success of his debut LP 'Chasing Dreams' last year. But will Brooke Burns appear on teh album? Nah.

Legends of the hidden.....valley?

The Thread, a local Fox show in St. Louis does a game show segemnt in which you have to identify either Hiddden Valley Ski Ranch or.....Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing. I'm not kidding. And it provides a 70's vibe to it.

And our final story falls under the category of.....

You can't make this....

Up.

Look at this if you will....

Can you guess who the son belongs to?

http://www.qwizx.com/gssfx/australia/key-incorrect.wav

Time's up. It's Drew Carey. News footage of the boy went viral after the inauguration eve protest in Washington D.C. -- and we've confirmed it was 11-year-old Connor behind one of the night's most memorable moments.
A source close to Drew tells us Connor got caught up in the emotions of the crowd around him, and he was in hot water afterward. We're told Drew and Connor's mom were upset about how he expressed himself to the reporter, and talked to him about his language. Here's the Price is Right host on that same night.

And somewhere George Gray is nowhere to be found.

Since the Sundance film festival happened this past week or 2, I bet it'll be nice to hear a song from Park City, Utah native and our Game Show gypsy queen Robyn Cage to give you something nice.....r. Hit it!

No pianos were burned during the making of this music video.

That's all for now, but remember one thing: If you want you son to be a game show host, go watch plenty of Buzzr and introduce your son to classic game shows. Then, tell your friends why you like classic game shows. So until next time and all the time....play on playas.
