VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: Hey everyone, It seems that the entire newsroom is into a state of Pokémon Go fever. Do not be alarmed.  Everything is under control. We're trying to report GSN News on the go. So here we go as we start with.....

 The whatstrending.com Starting Line.

Family Feud with Richard Karn on GSN has a long history. GSN acquired the four seasons of Family Feud, hosted by Richard Karn from 2002-06, in 2007. The lease consisting of all four seasons was renewed in 2010. During the time from 2009-12, Karn Feud was very popular on GSN, at times up to six runs a day. By 2012, once the Harvey version came around, GSN gradually cut back on Karn Feud.

In 2013, GSN renewed the lease to Karn Feud excluding his first season (2002-03). The past three years, airtime for Karn Feud has been sporadic at best on GSN. The most recent time Richard Karn's Family Feud had a permanent slot on the weekday schedule was at 5pm and 5:30pm, which ended in January 2014. Since then, Karn Feud has been a place filler in a couple areas (the noon hour for a few days in November 2014), a few slots on weekends briefly in the middle of 2015 and a short stint on Halloween Day 2015. Will Karn Feud come back with more slots? We'll soon see.

A GSN original makes its way back to the schedule. We'll tell you what it is after I find a Pikachu in the storage closet.

(song fades out)

(Quick fade out)

So far, everyone in the newsroom is still in the Pokémon Go groove and I am still in my desk reporting these stories....

GSN is doing well in the last quarter. GSN just finished its best 2Q ever in prime among all key demos. The net, which has steadily increased viewership for the past 4 years, broke 2Q delivery records for HH, P2+, P25-54, W25-54, P18-49, W18-49. This also marks the 2nd straight year of 2Q growth for those demos. GSN’s success was partially driven by season three of their popular Skin Wars series, and the launch of its first spinoff, Skin Wars: Fresh Paint, which debuted to record ratings on June 15, becoming the #1 competitive reality series debut, and #2 series debut, in GSN history. The new game showWinsanity, hosted by Donald Faison, which debuted June 6, was also a key contributor to the overall success.

Meanwhile, a change took place this week as a house cleaning note:

Changes:
*In Friday latenight (early Saturday morning on the East Coast), Mind of a Man will air at 2am and 2:30am; replacing Baggage
Really? Really????!!!! MOAM has returned, but it's landed on the weekend late night schedule and is staying that way. Prepare for 40 episodes of this 1-season wonder.

Hellevator 2 will bring some changes. First, there will be less actors, yes, less actors than it was last season. Second, it will be in the same place like last season. Third, the prize money will be different than last season. This will survive under budget cuts.

Remember that rant about the Naked episode of "Idiotest" in our "Say What You Want to Say" segment? Well, a lot of comments came and we got them for you in.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jjq0WDvapow

The Facebook Files.

Chad Mosher told everyone: "Sorry to ruin the illusion of television, but no one was actually naked during the filming of the program. Contestants were wearing flesh-colored tops and bottoms that were blurred for the effect of simulated nudity."

See? Maybe John Temple goes with....

"Now I'm wondering about the "Strip ..." segments on "Dog Eat Dog"."

Hmm....maybe Owen Rubin chimes in with....

"Here is a free idea for you: if it offended you, turn off the program. Watching this episode is not mandatory. I am so tired of people being offended by things they do NOT HAVE TO SEE and insisting that everyone else must switch to their sensibility. To me this is like complaints of Playboy magazine that are completely covered up in a store, yet people complain that they are there anyway. No one has forced you to go look at them. No one forced you to watch this show.

When did this country become so prudish? You could not see any nudity, the contestants were not really fully nude, and even if they were, change channels or turn it off. This was a stunt, nothing more."

SO back then, Playboy and X-rated movies were the only thing to see naked. Nowadays, getting censored while naked is an issue. Zane Wilson has the last comment....

"Wow, why are people so offended by being naked? No it was not necessary on this show, but if you don't like it, don't watch it. You're grandchildren will grow up completely fine. Being naked is natural, but people like you and a lot of people in America, over sexualize our bodies. If we didn't make everything about being naked about sex, like other countries, we would see it more as natural and quit freaking out about it. Why don't you focus your attention on bigger problems. I can't believe a naked body can offend someone so much...."

There you have it.

(song stops)
