It's going down!

(What will you be doing this Thanksgiving? Eating Turkey? Watching Football? Binge Watching Jessica Jones on Netflix? Well, yes, but Watching Social Medium is good for you. There's even a new one Tomorrow before Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Come see it for yourself.)

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: What's the only time you get lonely? Well besides paying the bills, playing solitaire or watching cat videos on Youtube, it's watching GSN on your color television set. Once you turn it on, you won't be lonely anymore. And that's why GSN The Know is here for you to give you everything on the world of GSN. So let's not get lonely and start with....

The Starting Line.

On November 20th of this year, we lost a legend to the game show world. Jim Perry started out as a singer and later became straight man to Sid Caesar. By 1978, his biggest break came hosting the NBC classic "Card Sharks" before Bob Eubanks and Bill Rafferty did it for CBS & syndication respectively in 1986. By 1983, he hosted $ale Of The Century for NBC until 1989 and did the syndie version in 1985. He joins Geoff Edwards, Monty Hall, Mike Darrow, Alex Trebek and Wink Martindale as the host to do shows in the USA & Canada. Right now, let's take a space of silence to honor a fallen legend.

Thank you.

Normally, I get to do the Yay & Yawn for November, but TJ Neyland, who is a resident Know-it-all, gets our Yay & Yawn of this month. TJ, what do you have for us?

 The Yay: Steampunk'd getting cancelled!
  The Yawn: Hellevator

I have to agree with you and later on, we'll talk about Hellevator getting low ratings.

Also after this timeout, we get the nominees for our year-end awards show. Don't get sad & lonely once this commercial arrives, because we'll be right back!

(song fades out)

We have returned and what's wrong with Hellevator? Well, to give you an idea, Numberator.....

8:00pm Hellevator (new): 215,000 total viewers/89,000 18-49 viewers; exactly even in total viewers/down 3% in 18-49 viewers from last week; down 63% in total viewers/down 35% in 18-49 viewers from lead-in

This is turning out to be a big falldown from last week. So what went wrong with Hellevator? Havign it on GSN is worse. Chiller, Spike TV and USA Network would've been the potential candidates for getting that show. And when I heard the Soska Sisters say "Going Down?" In their promos, most of America after October seemed to get the message. Guess it'll be doomed the rest of the way.

Youtuber Robin Eckert has something you don't wanna know. She's a violinist and violin teacher, so she's calling out 3 more string players to have some.....

Holiday house cleaning. For my birthday month.....

*GSN will air a two hour Hellevator finale Wednesday 8-10pm. The episodes will encore from 11pm-1am and 2-4am. *Idiotest remains Wednesdays at 10pm, 10:30pm, 1am and 1:30am in all reruns (Season 2 concludes 12/2).
*Steve Harvey Family Feud will air Monday, Thursday and Friday at 1am and 1:30am; replacing The Newlywed Game
*Hellevator will rerun Friday at 11pm; replacing The Chase
*Hellevator will rerun Saturday latenight at 2am; replacing Baggage
*Hellevator will rerun Sunday at 11pm; replacing Family Feud
*Family Feud will air at 12am and 12:30am Sunday latenight; replacing Baggage

Do you get it now? Hellevator may spend it's final resting place on weekend nights. Idiotest stays here not only to take what would be likely a monthly break before early next year, but to air reruns for it. Hellevator will take all, yes all of 120 minutes to air a season (Definitely likely Series) finale of the scariest game in town before they get off on the ground floor........for good at least.

(song stops)

If you weren't watching Idiotest last week, here's what happened. One new episode has one team beating another by the final score of....................$470-0. That's right, 470 bucks to a donut. Lingo gave them donuts one time in the Woolery era back then, but the team with no money at all got a shutout. First time this ever happened. They even bombed the Smart Money round. Guess season 2 has lower scoring games than last season.

Now, we end it with.....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHwHiymSojk

Carni-Poll. Where you take a Gravitron to new heights. First off....

Should GSN have a marathon of 'Card Sharks' and/or 'SOTC' in honor of Jim Perry's death?

95% say they want it. Even Buzzr wants it, too. Next....

Will GSN actually put together a marathon to honor Jim Perry?

Over 60 percent say yes, too.

How high did Jim Perry rank on your favorite game show hosts list?

Nearly 40% say in the top 10 list of classic game show hosts.

Who is the biggest publicity winner from 'Skin Wars' thus far?

It's a dead heat between RuPaul and Rebecca Romijn Stamos. Finally.....

Where would you rather see new episodes of 'Chain Reaction' end up in 2016-17?

They prefer GSN or Syndication if it makes a comeback. We'll find out once it happens.

(song stops)

Now the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. It's the conclusion of....

Nanno-Vember. And now, the reason why you've been here all month......

The long-awaited world premiere of Christa Nannos' new song "Like A Phoenix." 700 views and counting and here.....it....is......

Thanks Christa for the hit song. Of course, you know her on social media as does.....

christanannos.com

Pretty soon, she'll be on Periscope and Snapchat before you know it. Moving right along.....

If you can recognize that music, it means it's time for our year-end nominations segment.

For best Classic:

$ale of The Century
Match Game
The $25,000 Pyramid
Card Sharks
Press Your Luck

Since we talked about Jim Perry's passing, I'm going with $ale on this one.

Best WTH? Moment:
$ale & Pyramid get taken off Air
Man Vs. Fly
Lie Detectors
Baggage On The Road
Steampunk'd

Definitely Lie Detectors on that one, it tried on a daily strip and later weekly, but....didn't get the chance.

Best New Host:

Mike Catherwood
Jeannie Mai
The Soska Sisters
RuPaul Charles

Have to go with Mike Catherwood, because he can do what Dylan Lane didn't do.

Best New Show:

Steampunk'd
Hellevator
Chain Reaction
Man Vs. Fly
Lie Detectors
Baggage On The Road

Chain Reaction gets my vote for it.

Best host of the Year:

Mike Catherwood
Ben Gleib
The Soska Sisters
Jeannie Mai
Brooke Burns
Rebecca Romjin

A tossup between Burns and Catherwood may be possible, but I'm going with Burns on this one.

Best Show of the Year:

The Chase
Idiotest
Skin Wars
Steampunk'd
Chain Reaction
Baggage on The Road
Lie Detectors
Hellevator

This is the hardest category of them all. It'll be close to tell if Chain Reaction or The Chase could take the big doggie bag.
