VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: And we jumped over the hurdle to go under cover around the world of GSN before we're through. We're going far & near to give you the best news and information back-to-back. Let's start front & center with.....

The Starting Line.

This week marks a very important week in the world of GSN. Hellevator. A horror movie walkthrough Jason Blum made. Yahoo! posted a 10-minute clip of the show and here it is....

https://www.yahoo.com/tv/hellevator-watch-the-first-10-minutes-of-the-152730597.html

Now you may think it's scary, but a lot of people hated it for one reason. Here's what some people are saying about it.

"Just what we need with these mass shooting is more violence on TV."

"I love it already. I can't wait to watch the full episode."
"So bad"

"Lame"
"I am a huge fan of this kind of stuff and this looks horrible. There is no fear involved...it is a game show."

Most of the reviews people gave are negative and want to watch something else. Later on in this blog, we'll examine what other sites review this program.

Don't go too far now, because after this from Jamie Petitto, we'll reveal who the winner of Steampunk'd is. Stick around or else I'll hack your darn emails like Bernie Sanders said.

(song fades out)

Oh, uh, I was just writing a gender pay letter to Grimsborough City Hall. Anyways, we're back.

The finale of Steampunk'd. One room left. It was the Family Room. 3 were asked to make something. Dita Von Teese, who was once married to rock star Marilyn Manson guest judged. Off to work they went. Jw had "Where The Heart Is." Morgan created a "Time Machine Party" and Eddie did a "classy Clock Maker." Who was the winner? I will give it to you in a short limerick.

The finalists are aimed and ready....

just like a plate of spaghetti....

Over 100 grand.....

In one person's hands.....

The winner went to.............................Steampunk Eddie!

Way to go, Steampunk Eddie! 100 grand is yours!

(song stops)

Moving on to.....

The Review....Revue.

Dread Central reviewed Hellevator like Yahoo! did a moment ago and they gave us this review....

I have my reasons: First of all, there is not nearly enough of the Twisted Twins. They chime in with commentary and are shown sitting in the control room at regular intervals, but if I didn’t already know who they are, I’d have zero sense of their personalities or how funny and clever they can be. Unlike say, shows such as “Shark Tank” or “America’s Top Model”, where we get to know Tyra’s and Mr. Wonderful’s dispositions and quirks, “Hellevator’s” hosting gig might as well be fronted by any hot chicks in corsets. The Soskas are horror celebrities with charm to spare, but the viewing audience is not given a chance to connect with them much at all.

Hmm...maybe Flavorwire had this to say....

Hellevator is mildly entertaining at best. There is only so much fun you can have watching strangers scream for an hour, especially when there isn’t anything particularly scary happening. Watching the series feels like hearing someone tell you about their experience in a haunted house: It was scary to them at the time, but there’s no reason for anyone else to care about it afterward.

What about Post-gazette.com? They gave this review:

Horror-themed game shows seem like an impossible genre-bending twist to pull off well and "Hellevator" doesn't completely succeed but it does a better job than some past efforts.

Even MediaLife Magazine said this as well.....

At an hour, “Hellevator” is far too long. The contestants are allowed to get off the elevator. We viewers feel trapped.

They may be trapped by a thing called hate, but we'll see tonight.

(song stops)

Skin Wars: Fresh Paint had a new logo and here you go....

Same like the original, but with more flair.

Back to Hellevator and the show's hosts were also on a podcast entitled "Tomorrow Will Be Televised." They sound great.

Bit of housecleaning kids:

*On Thursday and Friday nights, The Chase and Chain Reaction switch slots. New episodes of The Chase will now air Friday nights at 8pm; replacing Chain Reaction. Chain Reaction reruns now air Thursday at 8pm and 8:30pm; replacing The Chase.
*The Chase will also air (same night rerun) Friday at 11pm; replacing Family Feud.

Confused?..............no.

Now to that other game show network and they did a Pick & Play contest to find out which could go Sunday night. They were Sale, Trivia Trap, BTC '79, NYSI, Word Play and Double Dare.

The Winners: Sale.........Beat the Clock: Hall edtion and.........Double Dare! Here with the thoughts about the new lineup is a guy who can't make housecalls when he's not around.....Dr. Buzzr.

VO: Dr. Buzzr is a graduate of Maple Heights Community College with a degree in game show classics. He is a lecturer in and around the Grimsborough area and contributed to many in the field of self-help for whatstrending.com and ew.com. He's been interviewed on many podcasts and has yet to appear in TV talk shows and daytime network morning shows. Dr. Buzzr is not an actual doctor, nor a Ph.D., in fact, he doesn't play one on TV. He's simply a game show fanatic who is a member of the Stephanie Thorpe foundation for New Media Excellence, the national Game & Reality foundation and the Stan Lee writers club. And now, coming from his office on the 6th floor of the Wilton-North building....Dr. Buzzr.

(song fades out)
Dr. Buzzr: Thank you Pierre Kelly. I'm so glad that all 3 shows were delighted to be part of the Buzzr family forever. I was hoping for Word Play to  win, but GSN should've had it. Trivia Trap & NYSI should've been there. It would've been back-to-back since GSN did it years ago. But I'm proud of what the new Sunday Night lineup brings. Happy Sunday Funday!   This has been Dr. Buzzr and I'm.....Dr. Buzzr.

Me: Thank you Dr. Buzzr for your insight. Now the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. More creepy goodness from Svengoolie.

And it's the 3rd period.

Last week, Mike Catherwood tweeted about the future status of his new show "Chain Reaction." Don't feel bad for him. Remakes on GSN can not only be hard, but being a game show host is hard. Look at Wink Martindale. He did it. Monty Hall. He did it. Geoff Edwards. He did it too. But Psycho Mike knows it's not easy to do it. 2 more people share the same fate. Carrie Ann Inaba wanted that gig to go on top of her DWTS judging and by the time 40 eps of 1 vs. 100 were in the can, she decided not to. The other host is Drew Carey. He was hosting TPIR at the time and with his new GSN show in 2011...it was a bit too much like Whose Line. Guess what? Both hosts are still doing it today. But will Psycho Mike continue his radio gig? Of course.

Time to fly. Today's blog is presented by Gradius Airlines. Now with turbo showers. Just hop in, choose whether your shower is hot or cold and you're soaked in the richest environment water ever created. No annoyance. Also, there's a bubble bath area for kids, too.
