VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Jason Kelly.

Me: With Agent Carter over & done, we're not done talking GSN. Why? It renews your mind & spirit. Thanks for getting charged into a free blogging service I currently have. No need for a toll bridge, it's.....

The Starting Line.

Idiotest has a new date:

April 1st.

Isn't is weird like Misty Kingma that the Ben Gleib show is on a date of pranks? It's true. Also, I found out on the Buzzerblog Facebook page that the set is updated. The touchscreen will be separate like Round 3. That'll eliminate the fighting over it and compare the sharing like an air hockey game. The new season will drop when Spring time officialy comes around.

With February almost gone, we break the ice on who got frozen and who melted away. It's the Yay & Yawn of the month.

The Yay: The Chase. Still kicking butt.

The Yawn: Baggage On The Road. Almost a flat tire away from cancellation.

After the jump, a mystery to a Feud and one last shortie for this year. Where else will you be going during the break? Nowhere. Stay here.

(Quick fade out)

Now where are you? Back here, of course. What would happen if Harvey Feud had flopped?

Scott Rahner of GSNN blogspot finally answers the age old question.

"But what if Steve Harvey's Family Feud started with a 1.4 in September 2010? Then, floated around a 1.2/1.3/1.4 throughout the Winter, maybe hitting a 1.5 in the cold winter months, and then seeing lows of 1.0? It's most likely they would have given Steve a second-go-around, because everyone deserves a second chance and I doubt Fremantle would have given up on Feud that easily. Then, the 2011-12 season may have averaged a 1.0 or lower, ranging down to 0.7's and 0.8's."

By then, it would've stayed gone after 2 seasons and break Dawson's version by 3 years. O' Hurley should've kept hosting instead of Harvey. Today, the record is at over 15 years. Bonkers, isn't it? To dig deep on the topic, I wrote a poem for you.

Hey, I just met you...
And this is crazy.....
So here's my mind-controlled helicopter...
Comment it, maybe?

Adam Lentz commented with:

"Funny, when Cedric The Entertainer took over Millionaire in the fall of 2013, most people he would kill the show. He managed though to keep the ratings steady and the show returned for another year. But, Terry Crews came on and the ratings have been somewhat terrible. Looks like Terry might be a curse to the legendary franchise. Same thing with Steve, everyone thought that he was going to make the show go under, but as the years went on, the ratings increased."

Now it's trying to let J! And Wheel prevent them from taking 1st, especially the latter getting media attention.

Casey Abell has this:

"First, the big change wasn't from HH (household) to AA (average audience) ratings, it was from AA to GAA (gross average audience). This happened the week of April 3, 2011. Paige Albiniak explains it all clearly in this B&C article...

http://www.broadcastingcable.com/news/news-articles/nielsen-now-counting-all-runs/111878

Steve Harvey took over Family Feud well before this change, in September 2010. He made an immediate impact on the show's ratings, even under the old AA Nielsen system then in place."

Then another war of words between him and Scott raged on.

To put it in closing, when Steve arrived, they were above the 1s. Nobody knew why they wanted him. As the years went on, YouTube caught attention and guess what...more people watched him. GSN wanted to have him and....bingo! They stuck with it. Without him, GSN would be toast with endless DOND reruns all day. So in short, Steve isn't going anywhere as does GSN. Can we please move on?

The GSN upfronts will take place on March 10th. The hosts of Idiotest, Chase and Skin Wars were here last year. What will happen this year and will we reveal the new CR host? Answers will be in next month.

You know that Taylor Swift song "Blank Space" that has a misheard lyric for a popular coffehouse company? Well, that spot happens to be where PYL is come March 2nd. Here are my guesses:

Bumper Stumpers
Now You See It
Match Game '90
Cram
Talk About....oh that's right, it's from Canada.

Any guesses. Let me know when I dish out info at the end of the 3rd period.

Finally, Monopoly Millionaires Club gets a premiere date: March 31st. It will not be a GSN original and The Chase will be on hold in its timeslot where it's aired although it may continue with the current season.

Now the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. We wrap up Lindsey Stirling appreciation month with this:

Roaring away is the 3rd period.

In 1978, Card Sharks made it's NBC debut. While it became a hit, one show on CBS beat them at that time and it was "Pass The Buck." Why? Everyone wanted to watch a game of acey-deucey over 4 contestants trying to bulid a jackpot by answering a question with many answers you can think of. With 3 more people. If you're only one left, you got to play for $5000 clearing a line of answers in 15 seconds. Bill Cullen hosted the darn thing until it was replaced in the summer....and went on to have greater success in syndication along with The Joker's Wild to......Tic Tac Dough. Guess another shortie can't be a shortie, huh? BTW, Card Sharks ran until 1981.
