Whac-A-Mole

(Where can you get a Homewrecker, an Overachiever and a John Coctostan? All at moe's of course. They got salads, burritros, nachos, you name it. Get to moe's today. Let's get to this.)

VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: Hey there kids. Like the film "Frozen," it's time to let go of what you have and talk about GSN with me, Pierre K. Nice to have you here, it's about time for the first period. No time for Hilty to build a snowman, so he's got the ratings for us.

Family Feud brings in the ratings once again and Ctach 21 stays put at the 7 spot. Now comes the not-so-top 10.

A triple dose of MOAM kicked it off first and twice of 1 vs. 100 came on the list. Baggage was sandwiched between MOAM and Blockbusters and in between 1 vs. 100, but was tied in dead last with another Blockbusters and another MOAM. There's the first. Hilty, rocket out!

(Quick fade out)

Here you are, back on the Know and weekend changes happened this past week.....

Mind of a Man is officially removed from its Saturday night slot in the 8pm hour. Steve Harvey's Family Feud will replace Mind of a Man in that hour tonight (5/10) and throughout the remainder of May. 1 vs. 100 (Saget) will still air at 9pm and 10pm while Mind of a Man will air in the midnight hour.

The season (most likely series) finale of Mind of a Man airs this Wednesday at 10pm (ET).

For Sunday, May 11th, GSN will air an extra hour of Minute to Win It in the afternoon. Apolo Ohno's version will air at 12pm and 1pm while the Guy Fieri version will air at 2pm and 3pm, the last hour replacing Karn Feud.

Also Sunday night, Sherri Shepherd's The Newlywed Game will replace Bob Saget's 1 vs. 100 from 11pm to 1am, while also airings from 7pm to 9pm.

All Times Eastern

As for STYD, it'll be outta here come May 25th. Bible and something else will fill in. But getting back to last week's ratings, It's time to stick this poem into your head.....

Hey, I just met you....
And this is crazy....
So here's my Deluxe Talkboy....
Comment it, Maybe?

Casey Abell will kick it off with....

"It's a little unfair to compare this week to the first 16 weeks of 2014, because those weeks included some of the most watched periods in the network's history. The brutal winter weather helped all TV networks, including GSN.

Network execs are more likely looking at the relative performance of the shows in the weekday morning widow. Whammy turned in the best numbers, which really isn't much of a surprise given its generally decent performance on weekend mornings. Woolery Lingo suffered opposite the second half of TPiR, but what doesn't?

I agree that Carrie Ann's 1 vs. 100 isn't doing the job at noon. Might as well go with another half-hour of Chuck and Shandi.

Chain Reaction got its usual good numbers in the afternoon. I would have given the show the full 4:00 PM hour, replacing the underperformaingShop Til You Drop, and kept Pyramid at 2:30 PM.

As for Mind of a Man, I've exhausted myself shouting about the show's miserable performance. Somebody wake up Amy Davis and tell her that nobody is watching DeRay and friends."

What he said was Nobody, because many people had to watch something else other than MOAM. And if Woolery Lingo went on after Inaba's 1 vs. 100, it would've made more sense. Craig Reid on the dreaded 9am spot.

"That 9am weekend slot is brutal for whichever show is placed there.
But the fact that "Press Your Luck" did better than most airings of "Mind of a Man" with no promotion speaks volumes..."

Yeah. Where's the Saturday Morning vibe we had when we were kids?  When the topic was switched to removing classics, Digifan23 had this to say....

"Your IQ is about as high as those dummies who couldn't fill in the blanks to "MOSQUITOES" on Scrabble

Merv Griffin's Crosswords airs on RTV so it's not going to be on GSN anytime soon (if at all)

Temptation: the new SoTC: HA! with any luck Fremantlemedia probably throw the master tapes of the US version in the Pacific Ocean

Match Game '98 : Don't make me laugh!

2002 Pyramid No it would better in Prime time if it comes back (witch i doubt)

it's people like you that make me sick!"

I'm guiessing the latter would work in an afternoon/evening spot. Moving on to.....

The GSN Closet. Make the confessions rain, people!

Now we get to the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. Here's a crossover from a rapper and a country star....

Okay, on to the final period. Another change under the new name is "The Mole." In it, contestants act as spies and play mental and physical tests. Along the way, there is a "Mole," as to who may not win the game. Execution ceremonies were held each week. Green thumbprints mean you're safe, but red means you're gone. Sometimes exemptions will keep you from elimination. For 4 seasons and 1 in 2008, all of America knew who the Mole was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FCHk_gSwKo And done. Today's blog is presented by Cindy Crawford. She's got a mole and can't get rid of it. Don't forget to email me at kellypierre8@gmail.com, coppockonsports@yahoo.com, Pierre Jason Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcad on twitter. We'll see you later and play on, playas.
