Me: Hi everyone, good afternoon from the Pacific Bay area and ‬TGIF! Hope you are well. And if you aren't well, well........

Today is  National Orange Shirt day. Perfect day to wear it and remember the memories that Nickelodeon was before Spongebob took over. Let's......get wired!

Mayim Bialik has starred on multiple sitcoms, including The Big Bang Theory and Blossom, and she’s the host of one of the successful game shows of all-time in Jeopardy!. She also inspired a great Simpsons joke. But despite all that, and the fact that she’s a 46-year-old adult, she still hears from her mom every night.

While appearing on Wednesday’s episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden, Bialik revealed that her mom had never heard of Jeopardy! until she started hosting it. “She was excited, but she didn’t know anything about what Jeopardy! is. She kept asking me, ‘Why is everything in a question?’ That’s a true story,” she said. To be fair, it is kind of confusing But now, Bialik gets a text after every episode she’s in.

“She will send me screenshots of every episode in case I forgot what I was wearing in that particular episode. I’ll get a little report like, ‘I really liked this blazer, not so crazy about this top.’ And she always manages to capture like a screenshot where I’m like,” she said, pausing to make an unflattering face, “in the middle of it, and I would just think like, ‘She’s got a whole half-hour find a better screenshot.'” Moms, am I right?

Pink Today, Gone Tomorrow

Journalist Katie Couric revealed on Wednesday that she has been battling breast cancer since June.

In an essay published on her website, Couric shared that she was diagnosed with the disease on June 21, after an overdue mammogram revealed a tumor in the 1A stage. Having shared her colonoscopy journey on the Today show back in 2000, Couric had planned to film a mammogram video, as well, in order to raise awareness about regular screenings; the discovery of a lump in her breast ultimately derailed that plan.

“My mood quickly shifted from disbelief to resignation,” Couric recalled of her initial diagnosis. “Given my family’s history of cancer, why would I be spared? My reaction went from ‘Why me?’ to ‘Why not me?’ (Couric has lost several family members to cancer, including husband Jay Monahan to colon cancer in 1998.)

Because Couric’s tumor was detected early and highly treatable, she has since undergone a lumpectomy and several rounds of radiation, the last of which took place on Tuesday. At the moment, Couric says she’s “felt fine” following her treatment.

“Why am I telling you all this? Well, since I’m the ‘Screen Queen’ of colon cancer, it seemed odd to not use this as another teachable moment that could save someone’s life,” Couric continued. “Please get your annual mammogram. I was six months late this time. I shudder to think what might have happened if I had put it off longer. But just as importantly, please find out if you need additional screening.

Now You Si-Mu It

Celebrity Jeopardy! is well underway with a bunch of big stars competing to win cash prizes for their respective charities of choice. The show proved how intense the triva competition can get with its series premiere, in which Marvel star Simu Liu won out by doubling his score in the Final Jeopardy round, beating Conan’s Andy Richter in a last second victory. A shocked Liu advanced to the semi-finals, but his impressive performance didn't stop fans from putting in their two cents with advice for how Liu should approach the game. Ken Jennings, who co-hosts the daily syndicated iteration, came to the Marvel star’s defense in saying that playing  Jeopardy! on-stage is much harder than it looks from home.

After his successful first outing on Celebrity Jeopardy! aired on ABC, Liu expressed his bemused annoyance at some of the messages fans were sending him on Twitter. He pointed out that just about everything within the high-pressure environment during filming affects one's abilities, which obviously isn't clear to those critiquing contestants from home.

While Liu may not be anywhere close to matching the multiple records set by Jennings over the years, his performance in this week’s Celebrity Jeopardy! premiere was impressive. He has already won $23,200 in the tournament, and is moving on to the next round. This performance is particularly notable because this was the first time the latest format change was introduced. The celebrity-infused spinoff sparked the addition of a “Triple Jeopardy” round, which has never been included in the game show before, and could potentially impact strategies going forward, even if these eps aren't quite as hardcore as the flagship's. Liu clearly doesn’t need any tips from Twitter, as he clearly was able to navigate the change and win big.

We have not heard from these Starcade Sabercats in a long time. Natalie & Tara are here are a long blog absence to try out a new game that requires audience participation. Prepare yourselves for the great content you'd expect from it.

As “Bachelor in Paradise” kicks off its newest season this week, bartender Wells Adams has a confession: It’s no longer the best gig he’s ever had. That title now goes to hosting Hulu’s new pizza making competition, “Best in Dough.”

Now streaming, the series follows various groups of contestants as they compete to be best in show — er, dough. They make creative pizza creations — from odd trends like pizza cones and cupcakes, to monochromatic pizzas — in the hopes of winning $10,000 in prize money. Adams hosts the competition, with an assist from professional chef Daniele Uditi. And though being in the kitchen is vastly different than being behind the bar, Adams is willing to be honest about which gig is more fun for him.

“Well, you know, ABC might fire me for saying this, but I just have to be honest. I used to say that I had the best job in the world. I went to Mexico every year and I got to sit and watch all these idiots run around and like, this dumpster fire burn on TV and just be like, ‘This is amazing,'” Adams told TheWrap. “And then I got to do a show with Daniele where we ate pizza every day. And I was like, ‘Oh my God, this was hands down the most fun thing I’ve ever had to work on.’ And my other job is so amazing. But the truth of the matter is that working on ‘Best in Dough’ was honestly like one of the highlights of my life.”

Of course, a lot of that fun comes from Uditi directly, and his own skills in the kitchen.

“It was so much fun. Daniele is so much fun to be around. He’s like such a positive energy,” Adams continued. “He’s an amazing cook. And the one thing that, like, I don’t know if it’s really ever [seen] on the show, is that after every week of filming, Daniele would get in the kitchen and make the entire crew pizzas. And oh my god, were those days absolutely amazing.”

And though he may already be an accomplished chef, Uditi himself did learn a few things thanks to “Best in Dough.”

“I always say this, even in my restaurants — I listen to everybody. You can learn anything, [even] from a dishwasher. Because if he has a taste of pizza, maybe he has an opinion,” Uditi said. “So I like to always listen to everybody, not put a barrier… I don’t like to close breach, I always leave the door open for new ideas to come because that makes you not only a better chef, but a better person.”

“Best in Dough” is now streaming on Hulu.
