 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

CNBC is bringing back popular game show Deal or No Deal with its original host Howie Mandel.
Per CNBC, the reimagined Deal or No Deal will feature all the high energy and risk-reward that captivated audiences, with some exciting new twists.
Produced for CNBC by Emmy-winning Truly Original, a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America, the new Deal or No Deal will join CNBC's primetime lineup in fourth quarter 2018.
"Our primetime programs, with their focus on business and money, strive to be both entertaining and instructive. Shows like The Profit and Shark Tank are built around high stakes and high rewards. Those same elements live at the heart of Deal or No Deal, which is why we believe it to be a perfect fit," said CNBC Chairman Mark Hoffman. "Today's announcement confirms our deep commitment to primetime, strengthening our line-up, by adding one of the most successful game shows of all time along with the popular, original host, Howie Mandel."
Mandel, who hosted the original series that ran on NBC from 2005-2009, returns to host and executive produce the series, along with Scott St. John, executive producer and showrunner of the original series.
On Deal or No Deal, contestants play and deal for a top prize of $1 million. With 26 sealed briefcases full of varying amounts of cash – ranging from a penny to $1 million ─ and the mysterious entity known only as "the Banker," contestants are faced with a game of odds and chance and whether to accept an offer of cash from "the Banker" in exchange for what might be contained in the contestant's chosen briefcase.
"Having been in this business for 40 years, I've been involved in every kind of production – live, variety, drama, film and animation. Nothing changed my life, career and perception of humanity more than one project, and that was Deal or No Deal," said Mandel. "I am excited to re-embark on the most thrilling, life-changing show with the brilliant Scott St. John and our new partners at CNBC. For me, there was only one answer to that iconic question and I am proud to have said DEAL!"
The new Deal or No Deal is produced by Truly Original with Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh and Scott St. John as executive producers. Jim Ackerman and Christian Barcellos are the executive producers for CNBC.

Comedy, competition and hip-hop are the flavas on the menu at TBS starting Sunday, April 15, as Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild returns at 10 PM ET/PT, followed by the renewed Drop The Mic at 10:30 PM ET/PT.
The hour-long block was re-upped by TBS after both unscripted game show comedies reached an average of 2.7 million viewers per episode on the network's TV, VOD and digital platforms. The two series have also earned over 250 million social and YouTube views to date.
Snoop Dogg, who counted The Joker's Wild as his favorite game show growing up, hosts the TBS version. Set in his very own casino, the show includes an oversized slot machine, giant dice, and playing cards.
This season features a variety of new Snoop-a-fied categories, a special celebrity charity episode, and guest cameos by Ice Cube, Michael Strahan, RuPaul, Wiz Khalifa, Kevin Smith, Aubrey Plaza, Paris Jackson, Hannibal Buress, Busy Philipps, Adam Devine, Bill Nye, Xzibit, Biz Markie, G-Eazy, Cheech and Chong, Julian Edelman, Dana White, and Matthew McConaughey.
Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker's Wild is produced by Sony Pictures Television, in association with Turner's Studio T. Snoop Dogg serves as executive producer, along with Good Morning, America co-host Michael Strahan. Also executive-producing are Vincent Rubino, Constance Schwartz-Morini for SMAC Entertainment, and Ted Chung for Merry Jane.
Drop the Mic is based on the popular segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden. The TBS series, hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin, pits celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports, and pop culture against each other in a rap battle royale. At the end of each head-to-head battle, the studio audience votes to determine the winner.
Currently in production, the early bookings slated to appear this season include Shaquille O'Neal vs. Ken Jeong, Luis Fonsi vs. Terry Crews, Molly Ringwald vs. Jon Cryer, Jerry Springer vs. Ricki Lake, Assassination of Gianni Versace star Darren Criss vs. Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, Jay Pharaoh vs. Marlon Wayans, Luis Guzman vs. Gabriel Iglesias, Lindsey Vonn vs. Gus Kenworthy, and "Glow" vs. "Pro," which includes Glow cast members Jackie Tohn, Kate Nash, Sunita Mani, and Britney Young battling against WWE wrestlers Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Carmella, and Alicia Fox.
Drop the Mic is produced by CBS Television Studios and Fulwell 73 Productions. James Corden, Ben Winston and Jensen Karp serve as executive producers, with Joanna Gallagher as co-executive producer.

On to some HQ Stuff. This tweet ringed in bigger news......

Then came the bad news.

Chaos broke out on Sunday night when a contentious winner-takes-all game of HQ Trivia abruptly ended with no winner after the would-be champion was hit with allegations of cheating.
HQ, the popular trivia app, was testing out a new royale-style format: Instead of the traditional 12 questions, where the winnings are split between all contestants who successfully answer the 12th question, in Sunday's new format, the game keeps going until only one winner emerges.
The jackpot on Sunday's night game was $25,000 and this was only the second time HQ had experimented with the new format. Last Sunday, a 25-year-old teacher took home the full $25,000 prize after answering 18 questions correctly.
Sunday night's game went on much longer, however, and by the 20th question many users were beginning to suspect something was fishy with the final group of contenders. According to one user playing last night's game, people posted in the live group chat below the game that they believed cheaters were amongst the group of finalists, since (some suspected) there was no way players could have gotten so far without some type of outside help.
Nearly 1.7 million people initially logged on to play but after 30 minutes and 26 questions only two players—by the names of JericBrual and Kayla—were in the running for the $25,000 jackpot.
Both answered question 26 correctly. Kayla answered question 27 incorrectly, but before Brual could submit his (theoretically) correct answer he was kicked out and served a push notification that said he was removed from the game for "inappropriate behavior."
"HQ moderators kick players that violate HQ's Terms of Service and Contest Rules," the official HQ account tweeted shortly after the game ended.
It didn't take long for those on Twitter to speculate what type of behavior Brual was engaged in.
Brual, whose account is now locked, has tweeted at least once about hacking the game using bots.
On February 3rd Brual tweeted that he had won $51.02 in one HQ Trivia game, nearly five months after downloading the app. He followed up with a tweet saying "FYI: I had 5 bots ready for HQ lol."
As The Daily Beast revealed in January, HQ has been plagued by bots who plug into the game's API and instantaneously scrape search results on several search engines, spitting out the most likely answer to each question seconds before deadline. .

As a result, the App Store vanished it for punishment. Android is still safer now.

Nickelodeon has a new game show coming to its network, and it's all thanks to John Cena!
Cena is an executive producer and the creator of Nickelodeon's new show Keep It Spotless and according to the actor, it's "good clean fun!"
The network just revealed its first trailer for the upcoming show, which will premiere later this month and feature kids competing to stay clean throughout a series of mess challenges.
According to Nickelodeon, each episode will start with contestants wearing white suits. They will then compete in different games that will be messy — think paint and lots of it — and will have to try and not get dirty, or remain "spotless." At the end of each game there will be a scanner that measures just how big of a mess each contestant, whoever can stay the cleanest throughout each challenge will then go onto the final course, called The Gauntlet, which is an obstacle course. If you win it all, you can be going home with some cold hard cash (up to $10,000)!
Even though the show, which will air every day beginning at the end of the month, hasn't started yet, you can check out the first episode of Keep It Spotless on Nickelodeon's website now to see what it's all about.
Keep It Spotless premieres on March 26, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon..

Take this with you:

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be replaced this weekend (Saturday 24th March) by episodes of Through the Keyhole and Take Me Out.
Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly's evening game show was pulled from ITV's schedules following McPartlin's arrest on suspicion of drink driving on Sunday afternoon, with a spokesman confirming the presenter would be "taking time off to seek treatment".
Instead, the broadcaster has moved The Voice UK's second knockout show to an earlier time slot of 7pm (it was originally scheduled for 8:30pm) and inserted an episode of Through the Keyhole to air at 9pm. ITV News and Weather will broadcast at 10pm followed by the fifth instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise at 10:15pm (it was originally billed for 10:45pm).
An episode of Take Me Out will then air at 12:30am. ITV is yet to make a decision on the remaining two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway, currently due to air on March 31st and 7th April, although the broadcaster has confirmed that Ant will play no further part in the series.

NBC has given a 13-episode order for season six of Hollywood Game Night, hosted by Jane Lynch. The game show is produced by Hazy Mills Productions, Mission Control Media and Universal Television Alternative Studio.
A season six premiere date and celebrities participating in the new episodes will be announced at a later date.
Last summer's run of Hollywood Game Night averaged a 1.1 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall in "live plus seven day."
Season five featured guest stars Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley from This Is Us, Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash and Nico Santos from Superstore and Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky and Matt Walsh from Veep. Other stars turning up on the show included Chris Hardwick, Margaret Cho, Gabby Douglas and RuPaul.
Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner, Michael Agbabian, Dwight D. Smith and Michael Binkow are executive producers of Hollywood Game Night.

It's what Dole is known for.

It's time to to go across..............the pond.

We take on a selection of shows from the UK in which they have more shows than the USA. For real. Today.....

Hosted by the late Jim Bowen, Bullseye combines the pub activity of darts with general knowledge. 3 teams try to add some money by hitting one of teh areas that have categories for pounds. after this, it's points for pounds. Whatever 3 darts stick on the board, they get questions. The 2 teams eliminated gets out with the money and the darts. By then, you move on to Bully's prize board for the rewards. And if you wanna risk, it'll be the star prize. 101 or more for all or nothing. It became a regular Sunday Night feature and its iconic theme and format kept fans glued. That was Bullseye and we go back from across............the pond.
