But I Heard a rumor.....

....That Ben10 is becoming a game show?

Yep, Following the successful Ben 10 franchise, Turner is set to produce a new live game show dubbed Ben 10 Challenge.
Each of the episodes will feature two teams of three – two kid fans and one adult, where they will take on a variety of physical and mental tasks.

“This live-action game show format really dials up engagement and excitement for the brand and perfectly complements our Ben 10 franchise strategy – kids will actually get the chance to become Ben,” said Lesley Bailey, VP of channel marketing and brand management at Turner EMEA Kids.

“This is what we heard from them and we’re thrilled to be giving 320 kids from right across the region the chance to take part.

“What’s more, the game show reinforces the importance of being locally relevant, and will be highly complementary to our wider Ben 10 content offering across the linear channel, websites, apps and games and the highly anticipated Playmates toy range that will be hitting shelves this summer.”
Production will kick off in Madrid at the end of this month, with eight local versions set to follow in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Middle East, Poland, Spain and Turkey.

Paradise.....Lost?

Bachelor in Paradise host Chris Harrison is weighing in on the “misconduct” kerfuffle that is threatening to derail the ABC reality romp’s upcoming fourth season.
In a lengthy statement obtained by People.com, Harrison urged the public to exercise “patience” as Warner Bros. completes its investigation into the matter. Production was suspended on the show after a producer reportedly expressed concern about an alleged sexual encounter between contestant DeMario Jackson and another female cast member, although Harrison cautioned against putting too much stock in early press speculation.
"By now, no doubt, you have heard that we have suspended production on this season’s Bachelor in Paradise. I can confirm to you that this is sadly the case. Out of respect to all involved, there’s only so much I can and will say at this time. Normally with a situation like this I would not say anything until the incident is fully resolved, but with all the rumors and misinformation being put out there, I don’t find that to be possible anymore.
"Let me start by saying the safety and care of the cast and crew of our show is of the utmost importance to us. It is with this thought in mind that we made the decision to suspend filming. An investigation into the situation was started immediately. Warner Bros. is handling the details of that investigation. They’re moving quickly to gather all the facts, and once that’s done, a clear, concise decision can be made about where we go from here.

"There are a lot of competing details in the various press accounts of the incident. And there’s a lot of misinformation out there too. We urge everyone to be patient until the investigation is complete.

"I know in this day and age we want — and even expect — immediate answers, but in this case, it’s just not possible. So again, I urge you to please be patient and respect the privacy of the parties involved. I will keep you as informed and up to date as I possibly can. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused the cast, the crew and our loyal fans. It is my sincere hope that we can come to a quick resolution on this and get back to work very soon."
-Chris Harrison

A spokesperson for ABC told Variety that the series has not been canceled and that production has been halted pending completion of an investigation by producer Warner Bros. Television. All the cast members have left the show’s set in Mexico. The crew is still reportedly on site. Although neither Warner Bros. nor ABC has confirmed what initiated the shutdown, multiple reports have cited a sexual incident involving two cast members.

Cast member Raven Gates tweeted Monday, “I’m heartbroken about BIP.”

Another cast member, Derek Peth, wrote on Twitter Monday, “My heart has been breaking all day. I’m constantly blown away by how horrible most of you are.”

On Sunday, Warner Bros. issued a statement saying, “We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ in Mexico. We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.”

No official work on the future of what would be the fourth season of “Bachelor in Paradise” is expected until after the Warner Bros. investigation is completed. The season had been slated to premiere Aug. 8, and shooting in Mexico had only recently begun.

While it remains unclear if Season 4 of the ABC reality dating series will resume production and air this summer, the incident has not jeopardized Bachelor in Paradise's future on ABC -- at least as of right now, Entertainment Weekly reported.

ABC Entertainment Group President Channing Dungey told EW in a statement, "Warner Horizon produces the show so we have to wait for them to conclude their investigation before any next steps."

The investigation stems from "allegations of misconduct on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico," according to Warner Bros, which added that "once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action."

A summer spin-off of ABC’s long-running “The Bachelor,” “Bachelor in Paradise” has been a solid performer for ABC, but not nearly so valuable as the core series or fellow spinoff “The Bachelorette.” The last season of “Bachelor in Paradise” averaged a 1.4 Nielsen live-plus-same day rating in the 18-49 demo, while the most recent season of “The Bachelor” averaged a 2.3.

ABC announced the first 16 cast members for the upcoming season last week. “Paradise” reunites former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” contestants to see if they can find love at a resort in Sayulita, Mexico. The announced cast members included Corinne Olympios, Raven Gates, Alexis Waters, Amanda Stanton, and DeMario Jackson.

Details about the incident are in the links below, but we do caution that some of the accounts are graphic in nature.

You'll be a fly on the wall.....with balls, because....“The Wall” is back and bigger than ever, as a $2 million prize appears for the first time in an exclusive sneak peek.

The NBC game show’s Season 2 premiere airs on June 22, and the first episode back features a father-daughter team, Milton and Aaryn. Milton hails from Cary, North Carolina, and Aaryn is a doctor with hefty student loans who practices in Baltimore, Maryland.

“Coming into Season 2, it was really important that the people who are on have a really amazing story of selflessness or sacrifice,” host and executive producer Chris Hardwick says in the video.

Accomplish this if you will.....

Ore Oduba, Vicky Pattison, Alex Brooker, Lydia Bright and Louie Spence have signed up for a celebrity charity special of 'Crystal Maze' ahead of its reboot.
The popular 90s game show, which is making a full series comeback following the success of the one-off all-star 'Stand Up to Cancer' edition that was hosted by Stephen Merchant last year - is set to hit Channel 4 for another celebrity installment on June 23.

'The IT Crowd' star Richard Ayoade will be the new host of the show, which follows teams trying to navigate through Aztec, medieval, industrial and futuristic zones before facing the Crystal Dome.

At the time, Tom Beck, Head of Live & Events at Channel 4, said: "'The Stand Up to Cancer' special was so brilliant and so successful that commissioning a series of 'The Crystal Maze' was almost a no-brainer. I couldn't be more pleased and excited that Richard has agreed to become the new Maze Master - he's an inspired choice."

The original series ran from 1990 until 1995 and was previously fronted by 'The Rocky Horror Show' creator Richard O'Brien and punk rocker Ed Tudor-Pole.

At the height of its popularity, the series drew in up to six million viewers per episode, making it the most popular show on Channel 4 at the time.

The contestants took part in a series of challenges and games in order to win crystals, each of which gave them five seconds in the final crystal dome.

In the finale, the teams had to grab 100 gold tokens which blew around the dome, but lost one for every silver they also had.
Just 18 out of the 83 teams who took part in the show over the years managed to win.

China shoots.....and scores....perfectly!

Perfect Score has aired in the US on The CW and iQiyi has picked it up for local development, FremantleMedia China CEO Vivian Yin told delegates here at China Formats in Shanghai.
Yin said the deals were significant as they continued the new trend in China for using non-celebrity contestants in a country where audiences and networks are usually obsessed by celebrities.

“It’s a sign of changing demand in the market, as platforms realize that ordinary people can also deliver engaging stories, not just celebrities,” said Yin, who joined FremantleMedia from Star China two years ago.

Dating show Perfect Score involves contestants attempting to choose the most compatible person for themselves from a group of 10 strangers, in hopes of winning cash prizes.
FremantleMedia North America made the show for The CW in 2013. The format has since been adapted by MNCTV in Indonesia and by Ho Chi Minh City TV in Vietnam.
