VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.
Me: Welcome to our 4th year on the nation's most informed blog. I want to start something a little different. Please help me welcome Utah native Robyn Cage to help us kick off the new year.
Very nice. But here on GSN, we have a theater noir of our own. Bodypainters dazzling to make your eyes boggle, smart people taking easy tests throwing them overboard, trivia heads taking a smart man down for cash, teams of 2 making words connect to each other, and that's only the circus GSN brings, the rest of what goes on behind closed doors happens to be in a midweek sideshow known as GSN The Know and you are welcome to it. To begin with....
The whatstrending.com Starting Line. New sponsor starting this week and going forward.
It was the mistake Steve Harvey made. At first he was going to announce the winner. That would be Miss Colombia, but that would go to the first runner-up. The REAL winner: Miss Phillipines. Let's face it. Steve Harvey is only 58 years ago and he made a senior moment in his life. Don't believe me? Well, there's more....
So there you go. So we apologize for him and his blunder. All in all, we'll talk about his show on the network later on.

After this break on this GSN circus madness, 2 shows get pushed waaaaay back, but where? I'll tell you after I wash my hair with WEN haircare. Don't go anywhere. I won't lose my hair.

(Quick fade out)
2016 is starting to blast off like a SpaceX rocket, but last year went way up like an elevator going 145 mph.
2015 was the Most Watched Year ever for GSN in primetime and total day for the fourth straight year (GSN averaged 413,000 total viewers in primetime and 322,000 total viewers in total day).
2015 was the most watched year ever for GSN in total viewers and in the following key demos: Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Women 25-54.
According to GSN, 2015 grew from 2014 with a 19% rise in total viewers for total day. In primetime, GSN gained a 35% audience in Women 18-49, gained a 22% audience in Adults 25-54 and gained an 18% audience in Women 25-54.
This was all according to a press release yesterday. However.....
Skin Wars and Idiotest were supposed to premiere this month, but had to change their minds and went somewhere else. Once they were hyped for the return seemed to have disappeared. It may be ofr later in the year. Talk about lumps of coal around Christmastime.
While we cleaned up all the confetti and the balloons, the house cleaning took place while the offices closed up shop for the holidays....
The December 21-27 GSN schedule has been made available. This link provides the advanced schedule. In this schedule, Hellevator drops off the schedule. Here is a list of the changes:
The annual late night tradition continued as planned, but Harvey Feud gets Christmas. We'd stick to something else, thank you.....
Changes (December 28-January 3):
*The Newlywed Game will air latenights Monday-Friday at 3am and 3:30am; replacing What's My Line? and I've Got A Secret
*On Tuesday, for one week only, GSN will air Idiotest at 9pm and 9:30pm; replacing Family Feud
*GSN will air a Steve Harvey Family Feud marathon New Years Day (Friday 1/1) from 12pm to 8pm
Changes (January 4-10):
*Steve Harvey Family Feud returns permanently to the 12pm and 12:30pm slots weekdays (was O'Hurley Feud 12/21-12/25 and 12/28-12/31).
*Steve Harvey Family Feud returns to its Tuesday 9pm and 9:30pm slot (was Idiotest on 12/29)
Hmm, a Harvey Feud marathon again on NYE? Well next week, we will talk about why they aired both on holidays.
Time now for....Faking The Rules. Chain Reaction had a tiebreaker in the Lane version once and now...it goes to Catherwood. Here's how it went:
The team who scored most recently (who caused the tie in the last play of the betting round) gets the choice between "Chain A" and "Chain B". Whichever team gets their speed chain correct first, wins. This is similar to the "Sudden Death" rule on Family Feud. For example, if the first team (who caused the tie in the last play of the betting round) gets their chain correct, they advance to the bonus round. The other team does not even have a shot at it and is automatically eliminated.
That may be familiar to the Lane version, but the betting chain remains unchanged.
Before our next segment, I want to introduce you to a troupe of mine. You've heard of DWTS and it's dancing troupe, right? Well this is GTK and straight from LA, they're here every now & then to segue into a segment. They're the Walk of Shame Oops Comedy Ensemble. But on this blog, I call them.....

The Dramatic Questioners.
Now what you just saw from the Dramatic Questioners is what the New Year's Resolutions would be. But I want to hear from the fans, Let's hear your resolutions in.....

The Dramatic Questioners.
Now what you just saw from the Dramatic Questioners is what the New Year's Resolutions would be. But I want to hear from the fans, Let's hear your resolutions in.....
"How about a little less Family Feud, a little more every other game show that exists, including your own original series. I love Family Feud but that's like all you ever show. Chain Reaction is great, Idiottest, The Chase...show more of these!"
Agreed. Here's Tracy Pavan.
"I love family feud, chain reaction, Baggage, Newlywed Game, & all of the old game shows.
I just wanted to say I absolutely cannot stand Idiotest.
Thank you."
Come on. I love Idiotest. It's my new favorite. Rick Chapman says...
"Thanks for bringing back What's My Line at 3am for a few days. I'm guessing it was either to torture fans of the show or it was a placeholder for something else. I realize it's not for the age group you are targeting, but one show, 5 days a week at 3am for us ancients, would not effect your demographics that much."
Bless his heart. James R. Breton chimes in with....
"I agree with everyone else that you play way too much Family Feud.
I'm sure there are plenty of other shows you could get.
Maybe get 1 Vs. 100, Weakest Link and Wheel of Fortune just to name A few because who wants to watch 4-10 hours of Family Feud every day?
It sucks getting home from work and it's at least 4 hours of it."
Yeah I know. Feud is too much. Carl Chavannes goes with....
'"Hellevator," YES!
"Idiotest," YES
Daily "Family Feud" maratrhons...
HELL NO!"
See? Finally Theo Wilder.
"With six to eight hours daily of Steve Harvey already, what's so special about a marathon?"
I dunno.....big ratings.
(song stops)
Now the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. With 2016 off to a good start, I'd bring my GTK Soda Girl Christa Nannos in and sing to you all......in a good way.
And what's even more good? A poem to start the 3rd.
GSN in 2015,
plenty of things to be seen,
Lie Detectors was a bore,
and made us do some household chores,
Baggage took the show on the road,
and took the format in a reload,
while Hellevator took us all on a scare,
knowing the Soska Sisters would be there,
Chase & Idiotest, Man Vs. Fly,
but $ale of The Century said goodbye,
Steampunk'd wanted to be like Skin Wars,
but ratings weren't enough, so they went out the door.
GSN in 2015, what a sight to be seen.
