VO: This is GSN The Know. The most informed and entertained blog in the United States of America. Now, from the WIlton-North building, here is the man about games, Pierre Kelly.

Me: Welcome to Halloween Week here on this blog. Our office had them dress up as a Pokémon character or Harry Potter, but we're not from Hogwarts, we're here in a special building in Grimsborough. So grab your butter beer, put down that Quidittch rule book and let's begin with.....

The Starting Line.

With Steampunk'd over & done, we at GTK thought we'd give you things you didn't know about the show itself. Here are fun facts to rattle your brain about the show.

*The contestants did not know that the fighting would be included in the final product. It was post-production editing.

*Steampunk'd producers, at first, did not provide makeup (for the costume part of each challenge). This changed when several contestants argued to the producers that makeup is part of Steampunk. Steampunk'd producers did not believe living costumes needed makeup.

*Props and proper tools were also not provided, but that changed after argued by contestants to producers.

*Producers originally wanted contestants to have to wear their costumes to elimination (this did not end up happening). It would have only been two contestants per episode in costume minus the finale.

*Contestants were also kept in a hotel room with very strict rules. It was not as nice as the contestants' house on both seasons of Skin Wars.

That obtained for contestants and management prior to it. What they didn't know what the art of steampunk and what was it about. So it didn't matter what it was anyway.

Time for find out who's a golden snitch and who.....was snitching in the Yay & Yawn of October.

The Yay: Steampunk'd. After a downfall, a move to a time slot meant higher ratings. Boy, did they come back strong.

The Yawn: Chain Reaction. A break from new ones meant they were done with it. Looks like word games aren't the type GSN has.

Don't even think about leaving with a  broomstick yet. After this from Jamie Petitto, what we thought of Hellevator. Stay tuned or else you'll get electrified.

(Quick fade out)

My Green Lantern purity ring just picked up a signal telling me we've returned.

One week ago, a show was to find out who wanted to survive an abandoned warehouse with twin sisters controlling it. That Show:

Hellevator. We thought a review haiku would sum it all up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y36ONQ-NKvw

IT'S VERY SCARY
SOSKA SISTERS CONTROL IT
PLEASE....JUST.....TAKE THE STAIRS

(Song stops)

But were the people right that it was a flop? Let Numberator explain:

http://www.qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/hm_tripcrown.wav

The premiere went like this....

8:00pm Hellevator (premiere): 503,000 total viewers/186,000 total viewers; up 69% in total viewers/up 65% in 18-49 viewers from the Steampunk'd finale in the same timeslot last week; up 27% in total viewers/up 41% in 18-49 viewers from lead-in

That's more than half of the Steampunk'd audience. But as far as Idiotest was concerned.....

9:00pm Idiotest (new): 281,000 total viewers/84,000 18-49 viewers; down 44% in total viewers/down 55% in 18-49 viewers from lead-in
9:30pm Idiotest (new): 212,000 total viewers/35,000 18-49 viewers; down 25% in total viewers/down 58% in 18-49 viewers from lead-in

And that turned out to be a series low. 3rd time ever Idiotest felt like a roller coaster on Six Flags somewhere. Don't worry though, the 3rd season may have a date set-up before you know it.

Remember Winsanity?..................No............well, they expect the program to be around Spring of next year. In it, you must put things in order to win prizes not for yourself, but for the audience as well. Sounds like fun.

Once Again, Chain Reaction is getting trounced off the schedule. Here's why:

*Idiotest reruns will air Thursday at 8pm and 8:30pm ET; replacing originally scheduled Chain Reaction reruns (which would have started that week). These Idiotest reruns will not be reruns from the new runs the prior night. They are from April 1, 2015 (the Season 2 premiere).

Guess CR wanted it to be a hit, but then again, it turned out to be like Pyramid in 2012. I'm hoping.....the afternoon would be the resting place for it. Also....

*On Saturday, Hellevator reruns will air from 7-9pm; replacing Family Feud
*On Saturday, Family Feud will air from 10pm-1am (and also the usual 9pm, 9:30pm slots); replacing Idiotest and Chain Reaction
*On Sunday, The Newlywed Game will air at 12pm and 12:30pm; replacing Family Feud

So 2 back-to-back Hellevators on Saturday Night. Expect to see scariness abound.

And now it's time for.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHwHiymSojk

Carni-Poll. Where you might hear Lauren Shippen and Anna Lore play skippers on a jungle cruise ride.

First things first....

What will you watch on GSN this Wednesday night (10/28)?

Dead heat for Idiotest, because a Twins edition will take place that night.

Will you watch Halloween-themed episodes of Karn/O'Hurley Feud on the morning of Halloween?

46% say.....uh-uh. No Interest in it.

'The Chase' has new episodes on Friday nights come November. Will you still watch?

83% say it will. Whether it's Thursday, Tuesday or Friday....it's still a hit.

Last one....

Will 'The Chase' premiere on Friday 11/6 fall over or under the summer low of 571K total viewers?

They prefer above over under.

(song stops)

And it takes us to the 2nd intermission presented by swagbucks.com. Svengoolie is going to wrap up his month with this.....

And.....the 3rd period.

Of Hellevator or The Chase, which is the most expensive? First things first, Hellevator has people competing in tasks in an abandoned warehouse for up to $50,000. This past week, we saw one team walk away with $28,000 which is more than half. That's fine, but on the other hand, The Chase gives away more money than the former. That's because they have at least more than 100 grand, give or take to shell out before the Beast captures them and sends them to ground zero. Look at the very first show and you'll see why. Plus, it's going on more than 1 season. So, The Chase wins over Hellevator. So what?
