Wonka’s The Golden Ticket is dusting off an iconic set piece from the beloved 1971 film starring Gene Wilder.

People reports that the upcoming Netflix game show will feature Wonkavision 2.0, a revamped stage styled after the all-white broadcast studio featured in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. In the original film, Wonkavision 2.0 is where Mike Teavee, played by Paris Themmen, was schooled on the effects of TV addiction.

The studio will hold some of Wonka’s The Golden Ticket’s challenges, including “Wheel of Misfortune,” “Bubble Jeopardy” and “Steal or No Steal.” Those games will be hosted by game show regulars Howie Mandel (Deal or No Deal, America’s Got Talent), Nick Cannon (The Masked Singer, America’s Got Talent) and Wayne Brady (Let’s Make a Deal, Don’t Forget the Lyrics!), who will each appear via hologram.

Wonka’s The Golden Ticket showrunners Alison Holloway and Emer Harkin tell People they chose Mandel, 70, Cannon, 45, and Brady, 54, because they are “national treasures beloved for their unpredictable sense of fun and comedy,” and “they fit perfectly into our whimsical Wonka world.” They went on to describe Mandel as the “living embodiment of Willy Wonka,” as he “channeled Gene on set.”

Wonkavision 2.0 will feature a “vanishing” illusion, where contestants will “disappear” into and be “transported” between sets. Designed by Australian magician and magic consultant Adam Mada, the illusions use a fade box where contestants can be seen disappearing and reappearing on the studio monitors in real time.

“It is a beautiful illusion which uses no camera tricks at all, no post and no editing,” Mada tells PEOPLE. “And it works as well as it does for the camera as it does for the real live contestants inside the set. They actually watch the contestants fade and disappear in front of their eyes.”

Holloway tells PEOPLE the contestants were “riveted” by Mada’s illusions, as well as other “mind-boggling tricks.”

Netflix Shares Release Date and First Look of Dating Series 'Love is Blind: Netherlands'

Netflix has announced the release date and unveiled the first look of the highly anticipated Love is Blind: Netherlands, the Dutch edition of the international dating series where singles search for love without ever seeing each other. Hosted by Nicolette van Dam and Bas Smit, the series premieres exclusively on Netflix September 30 - and the first sparks are already flying.

Love is Blind first premiered in the United States in 2020 and quickly became a global phenomenon, with local editions now available in Brazil, Japan, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Mexico, Love is Blind: Habibi, and Argentina.

About Love is Blind: Netherlands

In Love is Blind: Netherlands, 30 single men and women enter the pods in the hope of finding a genuine, lasting connection, without ever seeing the person they're talking to. They date in individual pods, separated by a thin wall, and have the chance to build an emotional connection before meeting face-to-face. If they feel they've found the right person, they can even get engaged before seeing each other for the first time. From there, the couples meet in person and find out whether their connection can survive outside the pods. They travel together, move in together, plan their weddings, and navigate the challenges of building a relationship in the real world.

And then comes the ultimate test: the altar. Will they say 'I do' and prove that love really is blind, or will they decide to go their separate ways?

Batch 1 of the first season of Love is Blind: Netherlands premieres September 30. The season consists of 10 episodes, following the singles as they navigate their journey to find love.

Batch 1: September 30, 2026 (episodes 1 t/m 5)

Batch 2: October 7, 2026 (episodes 6 t/m 8)

Telecinco has cancelled '¡De lunes a viernes!' after the show struggled to attract viewers, averaging just 8.2% audience share. The network is not just cutting underperformers but also reworking its afternoon schedule to avoid going up directly against Antena 3's 'Pasapalabra'. Reports from El País and other Spanish outlets point to both disappointing ratings and a wider strategy shift behind the decision.

The biggest change: 'Rueda la letra', the new quiz show hosted by Carlos Sobera, will now air from 19:00 to 20:00. This timing is intentional, sidestepping overlap with 'Pasapalabra', which runs from 20:00 to 21:00 on Antena 3. After a long legal dispute, Mediaset secured the rights to the well-known 'El rosco' round, but can't use the original name. 'Rueda la letra' will try to draw viewers an hour before its main rival, hoping to catch the audience before they switch channels.

Telecinco cannot use the 'El Rosco' brand name due to ITV's rights, so the new show will feature the same mechanics under the title 'Rueda la letra'.

Meanwhile, '¡Allá tú!' with Juanra Bonet stays in the 20:00 to 21:00 slot, where it regularly delivers some of Telecinco's best non-prime time numbers, often topping a 10% share. The network is relying on this established format to hold its ground against Antena 3. Audience data from eldiario.es Vertele shows that '¡Allá tú!' consistently outperforms other non-prime time shows, making it a key part of Telecinco's afternoon lineup.

Not every summer show made the cut. 'Amor... o lo que surja' and 'El show de Paz' have already been dropped. 'El verano se mueve', despite a modest 6.9% average, is the only new summer program to survive. Ion Aramendi's show will continue to open the afternoon block from 15:55 to 17:55, followed by the returning 'El diario de Jorge' with Jorge Javier Vázquez. This setup reflects Telecinco's focus on formats that can hold audience share in the important pre-prime time hours, as noted by La Voz de Galicia.

Tough break, Big Break x Good Good winner.

Golf Channel has canceled its fully filmed 2026 season of Big Break, the Versant-owned cable network’s signature reality competition series. It sort of had no choice — or at least no ultimate purpose for airing the season as planned.

“Following recent developments involving Good Good, and including the fact that the intended outcome of the series can no longer be fulfilled, Golf Channel will not be able to complete this season of Big Break as planned,” Golf Channel said in a statement. “While we are disappointed for the 12 competitors, our production team that worked tirelessly on the season, and the show’s passionate fans, we look forward to Big Break’s return to Golf Channel in 2027.”

Big Break aired on Golf Channel from 2003-2015. This was set to be its big comeback. Big Break x Good Good, a collaboration with the popular group of YouTube Golf young stars, was supposed to debut on Tuesday evening. Mere hours before its scheduled airtime, however Golf Channel announced it was pushing the premiere by a week — the drastic decision came in reaction to the series’ presenting sponsor Golf Galaxy (owned by Dick’s Sporting Goods) abandoning its endorsement.

But now, Big Break x Good Good is dead entirely, as are its winner’s dreams of playing professionally. The winner of Big Break x Good Good was supposed to receive a sponsorship exemption into the November 12-15 Good Good Championship, a sanctioned PGA Tour event.

On Thursday, in the latest — and largest — fallout from a controversial Good Good/Callaway Golf advertisement, the PGA Tour removed Good Good as title sponsor of the event. The event will go on, just without Good Good branding and the Big Break x Good Good winner in the field of 120 golfers.

Golf Channel has not revealed who that winner was.

Good Good makes most of its money from merchandise sales. Golf Galaxy and Callaway have distanced themselves from the brand.

Scientific Games has officially launched its latest multi-state SG Signature Linked Game in four US markets, with another nine state lotteries set to launch by December 1.

Created in partnership with Fremantle, the Game Show Experience is an omnichannel play experience featuring themed scratch-off, Fast Play and digital games showcasing the most recognizable TV game show brands, including The Price is Right, Family Feud and Press Your Luck.

Participating US lotteries for Game Show Experience currently include Iowa, South Carolina (SCEL), Tennessee, Maryland Lottery, Delaware, South Dakota, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Texas, DC, Kansas, Illinois and Maine.

“The Game Show Experience offers our players something unique in our portfolio: a trusted brand in The Price is Right that our players love, paired with a one-of-a-kind experiential prize with the chance to win up to $10 million,” said Kassandra Trenary, director of marketing and advertising for the Iowa Lottery. “We’re excited to be one of the first states to offer this promotion, bringing our players an experience that goes beyond the traditional lottery offering.”

Players can win prizes instantly or participate in a second-chance opportunity offering more than 100 lucky trip winners the chance to win an SG Signature Linked Game experiential event in fall 2027. SG Trip winners will spend five days/four nights in Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world, and attend a taping of The Price Is Right game show as audience members. Winners will then return to the iconic set for an exclusive lottery winners-only Game Show Experience event to be held on The Price Is Right stage.

“The Price Is Right and the Game Show Experience are a natural fit for our players,” said SCEL lottery product director Scott Warner. “The TV show is familiar and exciting, and we were eager to give South Carolina players the opportunity to participate.

“Beyond the scratch-off game and four Game Show Experience participants from South Carolina, SCEL created an additional opportunity to win: nine South Carolina players will win up to $26,000 in a locally produced Showcase Showdown. The Price Is Right is always so inclusive of its fans, and SCEL is excited to offer so many chances to win The Price Is Right -style.”

Up to $10 million in cash prizes are up for grabs. In a unique spin, the cash winnings of the trip winner making it to the final round of the Game Show Experience event will be matched and then shared equally among all other trip winners.

“It’s no surprise the Game Show Experience games are performing well,” Tina Hoover, vice president of licensing for Scientific Games. “The incredibly broad and sustained appeal of these classic TV game show brands brings to life the surprise, joy and wins that players love. “We continue to expand our licensed brands portfolio with brands that engage players and drive incremental sales.”

Potential players must be 18 years old or the age of legal majority. As with other forms of gambling, lottery games involve risk. Please gamble responsibly. If you or someone you know is struggling with a gambling problem, help is available. Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER 24/7 for free, confidential support.

Following a successful pilot, Channel 4 has commissioned a brand new play-at-home game show, helmed by Alex Horne!

Set in the Taskmaster universe, Your Time Starts Now builds on earlier incarnation, The Button, which Horne devised and narrated in 2018, and also HomeTasking which saw Horne on a mission to entertain a world stuck in 2020's lockdown.

Andy Devonshire, director and executive producer, said: "Time waits for no one, so you may as well be doing tasks. This is a chance for everyone to have a go without leaving the house."

In the new series, UK households will compete against one another while tackling a host of typically devious tasks without ever leaving their homes. Five teams of friends and families across the UK must display their "creativity, lateral thinking, speed, knowledge and teamwork" if they want to be in with a chance of winning.

Each task has a cash reward and the household with the most money at the end of each episode has a choice to leave their winnings or play for double that amount the following week, meaning someone could win a potential cash prize of millions at the end of the series.

Alex Horne, creator and host, said: "I often hear about friends, families, colleagues and teammates doing our Tasks on holidays or at weddings, scout camps and Christmas dinners, but I seldom hear that these people have sought permission to do so.

"Now, finally, we will harness the country and be able to set challenges within a rigorous framework so that the rules are properly adhered to, everyone is judged appropriately and the best rightfully rewarded. Also, I think it's going be very fun for everyone, and that's got to be a good thing."

Jon Thoday, executive producer at Avalon, commented: "It’s an absolute delight to have the backing of Channel 4 to realise a new show from Alex Horne and Andy Devonshire and their amazing team."

Tom Beck, head of live events and commissioning editor added: "The pilot delivered laughter, warmth, comedy and families arguing over why they’d failed to nail an obviously ludicrous task. It’s joyful! Roll on the series."

And now for your tweet of the day.

and let's end with something from a band called.............IMY2. Enjoy.
