The Tubi opening toss up story.

The Critics Choice Association got down to its real nitty gritty today, revealing the winners of its eighth annual Real TV Awards.

Peacock’s adventures in treachery The Traitors was the top dog, scoring five prizes including Best Competition Series and Best Host for Alan Cumming. The Traitors winner Rob Rausch and contestant Lisa Rinna were named the respective Male and Female Star of the Year, and show’s five triumphs were enough to put Peacock atop the leader board among platforms.

Netflix was second with four wins including two for Love on the Spectrum, which was the only other multiple champ, following up last year’s victories for Best Unstructured Series and Best Relationship Show.

Other top winners included such stalwart unscripted fare as ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and Shark Tank, MTV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race and the syndicated version of Jeopardy!

Stargate has become a high-profile likely casualty of the regime change at Amazon MGM Studios. The reboot of the popular MGM IP from Stargate veteran Martin Gero, which received a series order by Prime Video in November 2025, will not be going forward, Deadline has confirmed.

The decision to pull the plug came late in the process — I hear the show had completed a 20-week writers room and was in pre-production in the UK. It was explained with the new series’ vision and creative direction, which allegedly no longer aligned with Amazon’s programming strategy.

The differences apparently ran so deep, they required an outright axing vs. retooling the existing version of the project by giving notes to Gero, a veteran showrunner who had been signed into an overall deal by Amazon MGM Studios for the purpose of him spearheading Stargate.

Ironically, the new Stargate was greenlighted by Amazon MGM Studios...

Looks like MGM and Amazon want to look elsewhere for a home of Stargate but only time will tell. Now back to the tossup story I was interrupted by.

And on the opening kickoff, it's Pierre Kelly!

Me: I thank you Jennifer Reoch, who's the narrator voice of the pop culture show called "The Buzz" which comes on after the RTE Six One on most of these RTE America stations and often fills in for Lucy Coward on Classic FM if she's absent. Notice the clue I gave you last week.

Hey, I've got Call of Duty movie news for you.....

The long-awaited film adaptation of the mega-popular IP, Call of Duty, is finally moving forward after more than a decade in development. Paramount Pictures has tapped acclaimed writer and producer Taylor Sheridan to help bring the iconic video game franchise to the big screen. Peter Berg is set to direct the project and it is scheduled to arrive in theaters in June 2028.

Sheridan will co-write the screenplay alongside Zay Bond. The project marks Sheridan's first feature screenplay since F.A.S.T., which is expected to release in 2027.

Plans for a live-action Call of Duty movie were first announced in 2015 by Activision Blizzard Studios. However, the adaptation faced multiple delays over the following decade. Director Stefano Sollima, who was previously attached to the project, eventually exited due to production setbacks and concerns over the project's lack of momentum.

Sheridan brings extensive experience in action-driven storytelling, having written films such as Sicario, Hell or High Water, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, and Without Remorse, while also creating hit television series including Lioness. His work often explores moral ambiguity and high-stakes conflict, themes that align closely with the military-focused Call of Duty franchise.

The film will also reunite Sheridan with director Peter Berg, whose action-heavy filmmaking style has made him a standout choice for adapting one of gaming's most successful military franchises. Berg's directing credits include Lone Survivor, Patriots Day, The Kingdom and Mile 22, all of which showcase his experience with large-scale action and military-themed storytelling.

While plot details remain under wraps, the adaptation will likely be bolstered by intense, explosive tactical missions and heavy artillery showdowns, sure to sate even the most hardcore Call of Duty gamers. Sheridan's previous work on Lioness and Without Remorse suggests the film could explore the ethical dilemmas and human costs often associated with modern warfare.

With Sheridan's gritty storytelling and Berg's proven track record directing action spectacles, you can expect the Call of Duty movie to be one of the most anticipated video game adaptations on the horizon.

So...........that's going to be around 2 years from now. But you don't have to wait long for this next segment.

Direct from near the parking lot of the Maplewood Tree Mall, it's...........Breakfast All Day's movie news!!!!!

Let's take a brief pause to see why American Idol should end in about........25 seasons. No less.

  1. invite former AI alums to become coaches. That's right, Anyone from the Fox era to whip these hopefuls into shape.
  2. Move Hollywood Week...........to Hollywood for one last ride. That's to bring back the memories of what the show was.
  3. Get Randy, Paula and Simon to judge for just one week. Hopefully, the audtions or the finals.
  4. Get Michelle McManus and Will Young from Pop Idol to judge for a week. shows you why these 2 are perfect examples that set the stone for AI.
  5. Bring Back Brian Dunkleman for old times sake. It was like Ant & Dec did for Pop Idol. How come Brian was never heard from again?

And another thing, If Millionaire wants to be in a position to go midseason rather than summer, let me get a replacement for you.

Not only that, the music and set would be changed to reflect the syndicated version and give the ABC version a big boost.

ZONKED!

While unscripted shows have historically performed well on Netflix, there are some that end up going under the radar. One of those is What’s in the Box?, a game show hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.

Across six episodes, contestants had the chance to compete in trivia rounds to win prizes. They didn’t know what would be in each of the boxes they opened, with pairs having to face off in games of strategy and alliance-switching. All six episodes dropped on December 17, 2025, and if you feel like you missed it, you’re not alone.

Like many Netflix shows, it flew under the radar, and so, it’s not surprising to hear that Netflix has opted to cancel the game show.

Rather than make a big announcement about the cancellation, fans learned via Matt’s Inside Line. A reader asked Matt Webb Mitvoch about the chances of a second season, and he did some digging with his contacts.

Netflix has confirmed that there are “no plans” to create any more episodes. In other words, it’s been unofficially canceled.

NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and Lil Snack today announced the launch of Jeopardy! Today on the Peacock mobile app, a new daily interactive game exclusively on to Peacock subscribers.

The game brings one of the most beloved and enduring franchises in television history into the daily gaming format — offering fans a fresh, bite-sized Jeopardy! experience every single day, right inside the Peacock app.

Jeopardy! Today is the latest addition to Peacock’s growing suite of companion games and interactive experiences, which have become a meaningful driver of daily engagement for Peacock’s subscriber base – 10% of mobile users have played a game on Peacock.

Jeopardy! Today gives players a fresh board of nine clues each day, with new content tied to pop culture and NBCUniversal programming on Peacock. Players can win by completing a tic-tac-toe — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — or, for the die-hard fans, by completing the full board. The distinctly modern yet familiar format is designed to be accessible to casual players while giving superfans a worthy daily challenge that rewards deep knowledge of the Jeopardy! canon and introduces a layer of strategic choice that goes beyond simple trivia recall.

All content for Jeopardy! Today is licensed material specifically for the game, ensuring that it carries the same intellectual rigor, wit and authenticity that has made the franchise a cultural institution for over four decades. Whether you’re a first-time player or a Jeopardy! devotee, every clue delivers the unmistakable feel of the show.

“These companion games and interactive experiences on Peacock have proven to be a powerful way to give fans more of what they want – expanding the content they love into something they can engage with every day,” said John Jelley, Senior Vice President, Product and User Experience, Peacock. “Games like Jeopardy! Today extend the magic of these iconic franchises by inviting fans to actively participate and deepen their connection to their favorite shows. This also delivers on our broader vision to build Peacock into a destination where entertainment isn’t just watched, but experienced.”

“Expanding a franchise as iconic as Jeopardy! into new formats requires thoughtful stewardship of the brand and a deep understanding of what the fans value,” said Sally Umsted, SVP, Brand Partnerships, Licensing, and Experiences, Sony Pictures Television, Game Shows division, in a statement. “With Jeopardy! Today, we saw an opportunity to extend the fandom into a new daily game that feels modern, interactive, and native to how audiences now engage with entertainment, while still preserving the unmistakable Jeopardy! experience. Peacock has an unwavering commitment to innovation and creates meaningful engagement outside of the series, making it the perfect platform for a daily interactive experience.”

“At Lil Snack, our mission is to bring play to the world,” said Eric Berman, CEO of Lil Snack, in a statement. “By reimagining iconic franchises like Jeopardy! into something bite-sized, fresh, and worth coming back to every single day. We built Jeopardy! Today to surprise and delight audiences with a reason to come back to Peacock daily —to play the game in the same destination where they already watch the show.”

And this ball game isn't over yet. The home stretch is on the way but first....the Mistplay Game Break and this game called.......

What TV show am I describing?

The show follows the adventures of a family of white lions. The family contains Larry, the bumbling yet well-intentioned star of Siegfried & Roy's show; Kate, a pretty, stay-at-home mother who is a member of a special women's group; Sierra, their teenage daughter who is frequently annoyed by her family; Hunter, their awkward young son, who is a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings; Sarmoti, Kate's father and Sierra and Hunter's grandfather who has a dislike for Larry; and Snack, Larry's mischievous gopher friend.

Recurring characters appear alongside the lion family; these include Larry's friends Roger, Chutney, Vincent, and Nelson; Larry's rival Blake and his wife Victoria; Sarmoti's friends Bernie, Duke, Chaz, and the Snout Brothers; Hi Larious; Kate's friends Foo-Lin, Lily, and Brittany; two lesbian gophers Chimmi and Changa; and Sierra's boyfriend Justin.

So....what's the show? Coming to the Spotify Soundstage is Kendra Erika. She might've played too much Goldeneye on the N64 as you are about to see in this video because......she's a Bond Girl. Watch.

Then again, she might be Joanna Dark from "Perfect Dark." Now the answer.

Father of the Pride. From the same guys who did "Shrek." I'm not joking.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now, it's.............a...........................

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's going to be less than a month until the rocket takes off for ABC's Summer Fun and Games lineup takes control of every TV and mobile device in America today. But all this month including Livewire! which is this Friday, I want to share with the nation the alternatives of watching something else other than the fact that Press Your Luck, Celebrity Family Feud and Millionaire could get on your nerves sometimes.

In history, host chat refers to 2 hosts talking about what's going on and all of that. Regis and Kathie Lee have those this for years, so did Crook & Chase on TNN. One duo from Kentucky is evolving and I want you to take a look at it.

Lee & Hayley. Seen on a few stations in the show but now getting full episodes. Yes, full episodes. This is for those that don't have a an affiliate and to make sure that it will grow and thrive on all leaps and bounds. Here's the link for the full ones:

Also, the website is still:

Shows you why you can laugh along to it rather than the whammies getting laughed in the face of contestants.
