Chuck Forrest won't be there, but these people will.

We'll take a very tough competition for $800, Alex.

ABC has picked up another spin-off of America's favorite quiz show: Jeopardy! Masters.

Described as an "elite-level" competition, the series will feature the six highest-ranked contestants as they face off in a Champions League event to win the grand prize and the coveted title of Jeopardy! Masters Champion. Fan favorites Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Andrew He, Sam Buttrey, and James Holzhauer will go head-to-head in the tournament, with Ken Jennings hosting each hourlong episode.

The show is set to feature two action-packed, high-stakes games.

Schneider's 40-game streak in season 38 landed her at No. 2 on Jeopardy's all-time consecutive wins list, while Amodio's 38-game streak spanning seasons 37 and 38 put him at No. 3. Roach's 23 wins put them at No. 5 — they are the first Gen Z super-champion, having become the youngest contestant currently ranked in the Top 5 for all-time consecutive games won.

A release date for the new elite tournament or its format has not yet been announced.

And sticking with the first 3 letters of the alphabet.....

ABC's Fun & Games lineup isn't going anywhere. On Wednesday, the network handed renewals to Celebrity Family Feud, Press Your Luck and Claim to Fame.

Celebrity Family Feud, the veteran of the pack, will return for Season 9 with host Steve Harvey; Press Your Luck, entering Season 5, will continue with host Elizabeth Banks; and Claim to Fame, which launched last summer with hosts Kevin and Frankie Jonas, will be back for Season 2.

The trio join the newly announced Jeopardy! Masters, a Ken Jennings-hosted primetime spinoff that will find the six highest-ranked, current Jeopardy! contestants facing off in a Champions League style event.

Premiere dates were not announced as of press time.

Does this mean Scotland's own Connie Mclaughlin wants to host Fighting Talk when her maternity leave is over?

Channel 4 has announced that Colin Murray will take over from Anne Robinson as the new permanent Countdown host.

Murray has guest hosted the UK's longest running TV quiz show since summer 2022, becoming a favorite among fans.

Confirming the news on Steph's Packed Lunch, Murray said: "It's a career dream to be named as permanent anchor of one of television's most iconic programmes. I have been a fan since day one, been part of the family for over a decade, appearing on Dictionary Corner, and now I get the honour of guiding it into a fifth decade. However, I just don't want Countdown to survive, I want it to thrive."

During his guest hosting stint, more people tuned into the daytime quiz show, reaching close to a million for the final episode of 2022. "I want that to just be the beginning," said Murray. "Countdown is a special show, and its stars will always be the letters and the numbers, but it's more than that. Great afternoon company for people of all ages from all across the UK. Rachel, Susie and I are very excited for the year ahead. If you haven't watched in a while, drop by and join us. Everyone is welcome."

Before Countdown, Colin was known for hosting Match of the Day 2 on BBC Two and radio shows on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio 1.

Murray will become the show's seventh permanent host, replacing Anne Robinson after she stepped down last summer. Previous hosts include Richard Whiteley, Des Lynam, Des O'Connor, Jeff Stelling, and Nick Hewer.

To celebrate the show's 40th anniversary, the show saw Baroness Floella Benjamin, Sir Trevor McDonald, Reverend Richard Coles and Moira Stuart all guest host a week of episodes.

ABC is keeping hold of vowels, consonants and questions after renewing Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!.

The Disney company's owned and operated stations have ponied up a big increase to keep the long-running gameshows on their schedule.

Deadline reports that it has renewed both shows, which are the two-most watched shows in syndication, for five years through the 2027-2028 season. This will take Wheel of Fortune through its 45th season and Jeopardy! through its 44th season.

It comes five years after its last big increase was announced, which saw ABC beat Fox to keep hold of both shows for the 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons after Fox came in with a rival bid.

The move means that Wheel of Fortune, which is now exec produced by Bellamie Blackstone, will be moving into its 41st season, with Jeopardy!, which is exec produced by Michael Davies, will be going into its 40th season.

Guy Fieri's iconic culinary competition, Tournament of Champions, returns with a supersized fourth season on Sunday, February 19th at 8pm ET/PT. The skills and abilities of the most talented chefs from the East and West coast will be pushed to the limit in the most difficult bracket-style culinary competition.

This year's lineup features 14 tournament rookies who are on a quest to shake up the competition. The pressure is intense, and emotions are high as the elite chefs do not know who their opponents will be and what cooking challenges they will face, with the latter determined by the dreaded randomizer. This season, Guy has added a twist with randomizer wild cards that progressively get harder and harder in each round. Each battle will feature blind judging by a rotating panel of judges consisting of the biggest names in the food world as the chefs watch their critiques from backstage. For this year's finale Guy is pulling out the ultimate wild card by inviting a surprise judge who is one of the most respected and revered chefs in the world. After 8 weeks and 31 grueling head-to-head battles, one talented chef will win it all and be crowned champion, taking home the coveted Tournament of Champions belt and a $100,000 cash prize.

Before the competition begins fans can look back at the Road to Tournament of Champions IV in an hour-long special on Saturday, February 11th at 11pm ET/PT on Food Network. featuring the most outrageous randomizer combinations, the biggest victories, fiercest rivalries, and the most shocking upsets.

"Tournament of Champions is the most intense culinary competition ever created. We've got single-elimination, sudden-death, head-to-head blind battles and judging," said Fieri. "But of course, every year we've gotta up the ante, so we made the competition even more wild and unpredictable with the introduction of wild cards in every round. Get ready for some big-time surprises!"

The chefs representing the East Coast are: Eric Adjepong, Karen Akunowicz, Kelsey Barnard Clark, Maneet Chauhan, Leah Cohen, Madison Cowan, Tobias Dorzon, Graham Elliot, defending Tournament of Champions III winner Tiffani Faison, Darnell Ferguson, Jose Garces, Ilan Hall, Stephanie Izard, Christian Petroni, Britt Rescigno, and Jonathon Sawyer. The chefs showing off their chops from the West Coast are: Carlos Anthony, Nate Appleman, Shirley Chung, Tiffany Derry, Elizabeth Falkner, Timothy Hollingsworth, Mei Lin, Antonia Lofaso, Brian Malarkey, Shota Nakajima, Viet Pham, Joe Sasto, Tracey Shepos Chanami, Adam Sobel, Jet Tila, and Lee Anne Wong.

"Tournament of Champions is consistently Food Network's highest-rated series with nearly 11 million viewers at the edge-of-their-seats last season," said Betsy Ayala, Senior Vice President Programming and Development, Food Network "This season will not disappoint. We have some of the most impressive competition chefs to date, alongside some very talented fresh new faces. Don't expect to know who's going to win because this season it's truly anyone's game."

Simon Majumdar and Justin Warner deliver real-time play-by-play as all the action unfolds in front of a live audience. Hunter Fieri follows all the action backstage, capturing competing chefs' reactions as they watch the rotating panel of food icons blindly judge their dishes and learn who is moving ahead and who is going home. Judges include, Michelle Bernstein, Scott Conant, Cat Cora, Rocco DiSpirito, Lorena Garcia, Alex Guarnaschelli, Nancy Silverton, Daniela Soto-Innes, Ming Tsai, Jonathan Waxman, Andrew Zimmern, and one of the most highly regarded chefs to be revealed in the finale on Sunday, April 9th at 8pm ET/PT.

On a recent episode of You Bet Your Life is a young man who is an avid pageant fan. Have a look at this.

His name is Mike Talplacidom originally from the Phillipines now based in North Carolina who has written a book about his experiences......

You can get it on Amazon, but that ain't all. He turned those experiences into a podcast of the same name. Weird, isn't it? This is where guests tackle a different subject each month. He's also the executive producer behind this.......

and he's also one businessman who can name every Miss universe winner possible. Steve Harvey, are you listening? Yes, Mike is the man who knows a lot about Miss Universe. But has he ever named Miss World Winners since its inception? We don't know.
