FOUR FARMERS. FOUR CHANCES AT LOVE.

MEET THE FARMERS IN SEARCH OF TRUE LOVE IN AMERICA'S HEARTLAND ON THE NEW UNSCRIPTED DATING SERIES "FARMER WANTS A WIFE" PREMIERING WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, ON FOX

Superstar Entertainer and Grammy Award Winner Jennifer Nettles Hosts the Series

Real love is back! Rounding up true romance, Farmer Wants a Wife brings big heart to the heartland in an all-new unscripted dating show hosted by Jennifer Nettles, which follows four hard-working farmers - Ryan Black, Allen Foster, Hunter Grayson and Landon Heaton - in search of real, lasting love. Each farmer hosts a group of single women who leave behind the comfort and convenience of city life for the charms and challenges of country living, as they embark on an adventure that could change the course of their lives forever. Farmer Wants a Wife premieres Wednesday, March 8 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

The pursuit of genuine love never looked like this as each farmer and their group of hopeful singles meet and mutually select one another before the women are invited to experience life on their respective farm. From there, the farmers show each group what it is really like on an actual working farm, from tending to the land, feeding cattle and baling hay, to the behind-the-scenes business operations. For the ladies, the reality of this way of living may beg the question: how far are you willing to go for love? Together, with the hope of finding their ever-after, they endeavor to discover the beauty, humor, trials and romance that come with finding the one.

E-I-E-I-Oh no!

UPDATE: A virtual press conference for Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime Video series “Clarkson’s Farm” that was set to take place on Tuesday morning has been called off.

The event — which was scheduled before the presenter’s column about Meghan Markle was published in British tabloid The Sun in December — had still been on the cards in recent weeks, despite the ensuing controversy. However, it was canceled at 6 p.m. U.K. time on Monday, hours after Clarkson posted a fresh apology on Instagram, and Variety reported that Prime Video was set to part ways with the controversial figure.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued a statement regarding the matter on Monday afternoon.

“On Dec. 25, 2022, Mr. Clarkson wrote solely to Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. The contents of his correspondence were marked Private and Confidential. While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr. Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories, and misogyny,” the statement reads. “Unless each of his other pieces were also written ‘in a hurry,’ as he states, it is clear that this is not an isolated incident shared in haste, but rather a series of articles shared in hate.”

EARLIER: Amazon Prime Video is likely to be parting ways with Jeremy Clarkson mere weeks after his comments about Meghan Markle were published in British tabloid The Sun.

Sources tell Variety that the streaming service won’t be working with Clarkson beyond seasons of “The Grand Tour” and “Clarkson’s Farm” that have already been commissioned. This means that the notorious “Top Gear” presenter likely won’t be appearing in any new shows on Prime Video beyond 2024 (though there’s every chance a final “Grand Tour” episode could carry over into 2025).

Prime Video already has a number of shows in the works with Clarkson, which are going to go ahead, but the decision effectively means that “Clarkson’s Farm” will end with Season 3 (expected in 2024). It also means that motoring format “The Grand Tour,” one of Prime Video’s biggest shows, will also come to an end. Variety understands the series will conclude after four more special episodes — the last of which is expected to land in late 2024.

Prime Video declined to comment on this story.

Definitely Not Too Cold to Hold

Too Hot To Handle | Season 5 Announcement | Netflix

It's official...more sizzling singles are heading your way. Too Hot To Handle will return for a 5th season - watch this space!

A blossoming Return

They revealed Mayim Bialik, 47, will switch in for Ken Jennings, 48, starting in mid-February after a longer absence than planned.

Famous contestant Ken and actress Mayim were announced as the replacements for the late longtime host, Alex Trebek over the summer before Season 39's premiere.

At the time, Jeopardy! announced that Ken would host "though December" but the New Year rolled around and there was no Mayim.

On Monday's podcast Inside Jeopardy!, longtime producer Sarah Foss and new Executive Producer Michael Davies revealed when she'll be back and why fans haven't seen her.

They admitted the ambiguity surrounding the schedule has left viewers going week to week not sure who'd be walking out.

Twitter Troll Bridge

Jeopardy!‘s latest super-champ, Ray Lalonde, who recently won 13 games in a row and $386,000, is not letting last Tuesday’s (January 2) loss bring him down, as he opens up about his experience on the show, meeting Ken Jennings, and dealing with Twitter trolls.

The scenic artist from Toronto, Canada, spoke with Toronto Life about his Jeopardy! journey, where he revealed he was “having too much fun taking it one game at a time” to be heartbroken by his loss. He also said buzzer management is what cost him the game more so than the difficulty of the questions.

“I think everybody on stage knows the answers to most of the questions, so it is really an issue of how quickly you can come up with them and hit the buzzer,” Lalonde explained. “They actually coach you on the buzzer during the practice round. There is a light beside the board that turns on when the question is finished. If you buzz before it goes on, you’re locked out for a half-second, which can make all the difference.”

As for the questions themselves, Lalonde said he felt he had a bit of an advantage due to being a “little older” and having “more lived experience”.

He also shared what it’s like being in the presence of host Ken Jennings, admitting that the Jeopardy! G.O.A.T. isn’t around the contestants as much as fans might think.

“You don’t actually get to see Ken a lot,” Lalonde stated. “There are a lot of systems in place to make sure that the game can’t be rigged in any way, and one of them is that the host isn’t around the contestants. They have a game show cop on set who draws the names for who’s going to play and what the categories… It’s very randomized.”
