There’s a new main character of Jeopardy!, and fans have some mixed reviews. After Matt Amodio‘s 38-day streak came to an anti-climactic end a week ago, new champion Jonathan Fisher has since taken control of the game. Heading into tonight’s game, he’s got a six-day streak. Only 32 more days to go until he beats Amodio at his own game! While some audiences would gladly watch Fisher for another month or longer, others are vehemently against the idea.

Back when Amodio lost last Tuesday (Oct. 12), guest host Mayim Bialik actually predicted Fisher’s potential on the show: “There have certainly been some shocking upsets over the years on Jeopardy! and … I definitely was not prepared for what we witnessed in a highly competitive game,” she said. “Our new champion, Jonathan Fisher, unseated Matt Amodio who reigned on the Jeopardy! stage for 38 straight shows. Is this the beginning of a new streak?”

But fans have been slamming Jonathan for slow starts, conservative wagers, and hesitating when it comes time to buzz in. He’s made a handful of astounding comebacks, although it seems like the Jeopardy! viewers aren’t all that fond of him keeping them on their toes. “Jonathan is not like Matt Amodio, he’s not as smart, and he doesn’t bet big,” one user wrote on Twitter. “I believe he had 27,000 tonight and could have bet safely 12,000 but since he is not good at final Jeopardy, it’s probably smart he doesn’t bet big.” Ouch!

It didn’t happen during the “Big Brother 23” game, but you can add another showmance to the “Big Brother” books: Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss are dating. The couple simultaneously shared Instagram posts on Thursday announcing their new status, accompanied by shots from their first official photo shoot as a couple.

💗💗💗 the absolute best thing to come out of the most stressful 3 months of my life,” Rehfuss wrote in her post.

“Coming out of the Big Brother house has been overwhelming, but I’m so lucky to have had Queen Claire by my side making me smile and laugh everyday [sic❤️ I’m so excited to see what’s next for us!” Xiao penned.

In an interview with “Us Weekly,” which also has some more, um, interesting photos from the shoot, the two said that they felt a connection while they were competing on the show — that was very clear to live feeders — but they were focused on the game and didn’t explore it until the jury house. Xiao was the second juror, getting booted in late August, and Rehfuss joined the jury two weeks later, after which they stayed up late every night talking.

William Shatner on Wednesday boldly went where no (livingStar Trek actor has gone before, as a passenger aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard NS-18 spacecraft. And despite his “five-year mission” as Enterprise captain, the real-life experience left the actor “so filled with emotion.”

Shatner — who at age 90 became the oldest person to have flown to space — made the 10-minute trip with Audrey Powers, Blue Origin’s Vice President of Mission & Flight Operations, and crewmates Dr. Chris Boshuizen and Glen de Vries.

Blue Origin reported that the crew’s capsule reached a peak altitude of 65.8 miles, at speeds of up to 2,235 miles per hour. New Shepard NS-18 thus crossed the Kármán line, which is located 62 miles above sea level and is largely recognized as the boundary between the Earth’s atmosphere and space. (Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson July 11 trip aboard Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity rocket place soared three miles above NASA’s minimum space baseline of 50 miles above sea level, but fell shy of the Kármán line.)

Blue Origin’s own Jeff Bezos partook in the company’s first successful human flight to space, on July 20.

“Everybody in the world needs to do this,” Shatner said after emerging from the capsule, post-flight (watch the CNN video below). His voice cracking with emotion, he avowed, “It was just unbelievable. Unbelievable,” before juxtaposing in detail, again and again, the trip beyond the “blue comforter” of sky into the “blackness” of space.

To Bezos, he said after landing, “What you have given me is the most profound experience I can imagine. I am so filled with emotion about what just happened…. I hope I never recover from this, what I feel now. It’s so… so much larger than life.”

I said Sashay, not Slay!

Let's end the program with a cute little song from Elise Wattman. New to Jackbox, she studied past packs' soundtracks and decided to make one out of the 5 games on their newest pack. This marks the first time all 5 packs have a credit song and one of them is the credits theme from the newest murder mystery social deduction game, Weapons Drawn. I hope you enjoy it.
