Opening Theme

Colbi King: From coast to coast and around the world, welcome to....

Now, America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!

Me:Welcome everybody to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Let's kick it off with......

The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

Many members of IATSE say they will vote against ratifying a new contract with the major studios because it does not do enough to address working conditions on set.

The deal, announced Saturday afternoon, averts a strike that would have shut down film and TV production nationwide starting on Monday morning. But in interviews and online chatter, many workers have expressed frustration with the terms and said they expect it will be rejected.

“Basically nothing has changed,” said Ernesto Lomeli, a director of photography based in Los Angeles. “I have not heard a single person saying they will vote yes.”

A ratification vote will likely not be held for several weeks, as lawyers will have to translate the deal points into contract language. In the meantime, work will proceed as normal on film and TV sets.

The tentative agreement provides a 54-hour weekend and 10-hour turnaround time between shifts for all workers on all productions. Some were hoping for more than 10 hours, as well as other wage and residual provisions that are not in the deal. But they also wanted to make a broader point about conditions on set, which many find to be inhumane and unsustainable.

“We wanted to send a message that things needed to actually change,” said Rowan Byers, a dolly grip in IATSE Local 80. “The 10-hour turnarounds — that’s the same shit that’s already in my contract. Why would I be excited about that?”

We call time. After the break.......

If it gets too extreme, then it's your fault and nobody else to blame. So stay tuned and think about what you just did with that awry stunt you practiced in the backyard. The fire trucks will be there in a minute.

Colbi: Some members of our viewing audience will receive......

Now the man who once taught KrakenInferno how to give advice on wearing Blublocker sunglasses, Pierre Kelly.

Me: That is true.  Thank you Colbi and today's program is also sponsored by https://www.killthecablebill.com/.  Paying for cable or satellite is too much and with inflation going way up like an elevator, it's hard to keep up with your occupation and all the other bills you need to pay. My advice: get a debit card, cancel all your credit cards, get some flourescent lightbulbs and don't waste water. luckily for killthecablebill.com, they're what you call it a guide to all.......and i mean all the streaming services you can think of on a first name basis like Hulu and Netflix. All of those steraming services mean you can call your cable guy to trade in your cable box for something involving your smart phone or your tablet with your TV in tow. USA Today and PCMag praised it for their wonderful website and all you people out there reading this blog, I would do the same thing. So get to killthecablebill.com today and find see the reviews, what's on TV and more. GO ahead. Try it.

This will be the 2nd week in a row that we'll do a shout out. Last week, it was 92.9 The Beat's Julie Wilson, but this week..........

https://youtu.be/k7sK2hpfLcQ

A big special shout out goes to...............

The Gunshow himself, Brett Michaels. This will be a piece of Memphis Wrestling trivia that once we say it, you'll tell your neighbors, friends and social media about it. When Championship Wrestling Form Memphis started doing original matches from Top of The Line banquet center in February for it's new episodes, who was on the very first match on February 27, 2021? Look.

If you look around 1:57, you know it's him taking on Jonny Lyons. And after making it all the way to the finals beating Mekalov for the Cobra Cup, he took the trophy and on the March 20, 2021 show, this happened......

Around the 51-minute mark began a long standing feud with Alan Steel. Fast forward to October 9, 2021's show and you watch this.................................

All hail Brett, the new and I mean................NEW Memphis Heritage champion. And the crowd......went crazy.

In addition to him wrestling in this and other organizations, he's also a father to his own children. And a sweetie to support him, too.

But social media like myself reacted to the moment Memphis Wrestling changed forever.

How long will Brett continue his CWFM title run? Stay glued to their CWFM Youtube page and locally on CW30 Memphis and Tubetown out in Arkansas in weeks to find out.

You know it was a bad October when...........

Production on America’s Got Talent: Extreme has been temporarily shut down following last week’s on-set accident that sent stuntman Jonathan Goodwin to the hospital with critical injuries.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain with Jonathan Goodwin and his family as he continues to recover from his accident on Thursday,” an AGT spokesperson said in a statement to People. “In order to focus on the wellbeing of our crew, we will be temporarily pausing production on America’s Got Talent: Extreme and will resume the last few days of filming at a later date. The health and safety of our cast and crew continue to be our priority.”

An AGT spokeswoman told Deadline: “During a rehearsal last evening for America’s Got Talent: Extreme, an accident occurred in which escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act. He was responsive and was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is continuing to receive medical care. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family as we await further updates on his condition.”

Deadline reports that taping has paused today on the Fremantle-produced show, which is hosted by Terry Crews, who is host of the main AGT series, alongside judges including Nikki Bella, Travis Pastrana and Simon Cowell.

The series, which showcases outrageous and jaw-dropping daredevil acts with extreme contestants competing each week in a series of wild stunts, is set for midseason on NBC

You also know it was a bad October when...............

Killer Camp, The CW’s adaptation of the British non-scripted format, has been pulled from the youth-skewing network after only two episodes.

The series, which sees a group of 13 campers navigate their way through twists and surprises while competing to expose a ‘killer’ among them in return for a cash prize, premiered on Sunday October 10.

The second episode aired on Sunday October 18 but it has been subsequently replaced by repeats of Dean Cain-hosted Masters of Illusion going forward.

The first episode of the season launched with 155,000 viewers and a 0.05 in the 18-49 demo, while the second episode got 164,000 viewers and a 0.03 in the demo.

Sources tell Deadline that the show is likely to return to the linear schedule at some point.

The show was, in fact, in its second season. The first season, which was originally commissioned by British broadcaster ITV2, was acquired by The CW and aired in summer 2020.

The network subsequently commissioned an original version with a mix of American and British contestants.

Killer Camp, which also features comedian Bobby Mair, is produced by Tuesday’s Child Television and distributed by Keshet International. Ben Wilson is showrunner with Karen Smith and Steph Harris as exec producers..

But here's something good.

Sony Pictures Entertainment has sold GSN Games, a division of its Game Show Network subsidiary, to mobile gaming specialist Scopely for $1 billion.

Half of the purchase price will be paid in cash and the other half in preferred equity. The deal, subject to the customary review by regulators, will give Sony Pictures a minority stake in Scopely. The privately held firm, which launched in 2011, has gaming franchises like Star Trek Fleet Command, Marvel Strike Force, Scrabble Go, WWE Champions and Yahtzee with Buddies.

The 400 global employees of GSN Games will continue to be led by GSN CEO Mark Feldman, per the official announcement.

Scopely Chief Revenue Officer Tim O’Brien called GSN Games “incredibly durable and consistently profitable” in a press release. “The GSN Games organization is an exceptional team, and we are excited to see what more we can accomplish together,” he said. “We hope to take what is already a strong business and accelerate it through our publishing and technology infrastructure, unlocking even more value. Through this acquisition, we will continue to cultivate a loyal player base as part of our mission to inspire play.”

Ravi Ahuja, chairman of global television studios and corporate development for SPE, said he expects the entity to reach “new heights” as a result of the transaction. “In meeting the Scopely team, we knew we found the right organization to support and accelerate the business,” he added.
