 The whatstrending.com Opening Toss-Up story.

Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek is undergoing another round of chemotherapy, he told Good Morning America's T.J. Holmes on Tuesday.
"I was doing so well. And my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer. So we were all very optimistic. And they said, 'Good, we're gonna stop chemo, we'll start you on immunotherapy,'" Trebek told Holmes. "I lost about 12 pounds in a week. And my numbers went sky high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed. So, the doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that's what I'm doing."
Trebek was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March and he immediately went on YouTube to announce that to fans. Since then, he has been fighting the disease and this summer, said that he was doing so well that his doctors took him off chemotherapy. He's been performing his host duties on Jeopardy! as the show has begun shooting season 36 and no plans to leave.
In the linked video, Trebek speaks about his struggles with fatigue and depression as a result of the diagnosis and treatment.
"I talk to the audience sometimes and I get teary eyed for no reason," he said. "I don't even bother to explain it anymore, I just experience it. I know it's a part of who I am and I just keep going."
He also was frank about his feelings about death: "I realize that there is an end in sight for me, just as there is for everyone else. One line that I have used with our staff in recent weeks and months is that when I do pass on, one thing they will not say at my funeral is, 'Oh, he was taken from us too soon.'" Trebek said. "Hey guys. I'm 79 years old. I've had one hell of a good life. And I've enjoyed it … the thought of passing on doesn't frighten me, it doesn't. Other things do, the effect it will have on my loved ones ... it makes me sad. But the thought of myself moving on, hey folks, it comes with the territory."

Getting near the end of September and it's time to reveal the highs and lows of the month. It's the Yay & yawn of September.

The yay: Jason Zuffranieri. After 18 games, he tries to mow all week starting off the new season of Jeopardy!

The yawn: Side by Side. Look at it.

It feels like a more tacky Vegas thing. I miss the old design so much.

Me: Thank you Madi and welcome back. We know you like to watch fall tv, but if you don't like a new show.....go listen to a podcast or something. Oh wait, that's what this next segment is called.....

Podcasts.....You should listen to.

Your recommendation for today is....

When Monday night Football is over and done, turn the TV off, skip on the late night talk shows and listen to a bedtime story on your phone or tablet. Yes, stories your mom and dad used to listen to when you were a kid, but this time, for a more grownup crowd. Kathryn Nicolai will be your narrator in which......what the title tells you to do. Once you start to feel real good, it's off to dreamland in an instant. Listen to her instructions once the story begins and then it's go time. After she is finished with the story, she'll repeat it.....but a bit slower. Once that happens.......boom! Daddy's going night night. Want more info about it? get to this:

NBC has renewed "The Titan Games" for a second season.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hosts and executive produces the sports competition series, which features contestants squaring off in tests of physical endurance designed by Johnson himself.
The network also revealed that Johnson will be making a special appearance in Monday night's finale of "American Ninja Warrior" at 8 p.m., with a special message about "The Titan Games."
"When we launched 'The Titan Games,' we set out to create an entirely new athletic competition series unlike anything ever done before," said Johnson. "I'm excited to get back into the Titan arena and meet our new group of tough, limitless, and inspirational men and women from all walks of life. They will be tested mentally and physically at the highest level, going head-to-head in our diabolical and insane challenges. Season one was epic and our Titans pushed all boundaries, so for season two we are taking it to the next level with new challenges, a new arena setting and an incredible set of competitors."
The first season of the series wrapped up in February, with winners James Jean-Louis and Charity Witt taking home $100,000 and the bragging rights that come with being crowned the season's Titans.
"The Titan Games" is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio and Seven Bucks Productions. Dwayne Johnson, Arthur Smith, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Anthony Storm executive produce.

Youngest Media, the British producer NBC's forthcoming non-scripted series Small Fortune, is launching a German division and has set up a new competition format.
The company, set up by former Endemol Shine execs Lucas Church and David Flynn, has sold Battle of the Bands (w/t) to RTL. The show will see two bands, one made up of women and the other comprising men, living, flirting and competing under one roof. The bands will go head to head in weekly battles. The series will run for six weeks on RTL II and launch in 2020.
It will be taken out internationally at Mipcom.
Former All3Media exec Mark Stehli becomes Managing Director of the German division with Flynn and Christoph Oldenburg exec producing the series.
Church and Flynn recently scored a six-episode run with NBC for Small Fortune, which aired on ITV in the UK earlier this year, and produce series including dating format Game of Clones and BBC Three reality series HouseShare.

"Pilot Pete" is coming in for a landing. Destination? One lucky lady's heart.
During Tuesday's Bachelor in Paradise finale, ABC confirmed weeks of speculation that The Bachelor Season 24 will be headlined by Bachelorette Hannah's second runner-up, aka Peter Weber, a Delta Airlines pilot from California.
"I feel so grateful right now just to have this opportunity," Weber said in a brief appearance on the finale. "This is life-changing."
The aging Bachelor series is coming off a rare season in which its numbers improved on the previous cycle. Season 23: Colton averaged 6.6 million total viewers and a 1.9 demo rating, up a tick from Arie's Season 22 numbers. Similarly, the Season 22 finale (8.2 mil/2.2) drew a larger audience that its predecessor's (7.9 mil/2.2).
The Bachelor returns for Season 24 — piloted by Peter — in January on ABC.

RuPaul's Drag Race has sashayed to its second consecutive win for Outstanding Competition Program, and host RuPaul Charles got political as he accepted the award.
The VH1 reality competition series beat The Amazing Race, The Voice, Top Chef, Nailed It! and American Ninja Warrior. It already had made history for VH1, picking up the most noms in the Viacom network's history, and last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmys, Charles picked up his fourth consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program to tie Survivor's Jeff Probst for most wins in the category.
Charles, picking up the award alongside the producers of the World of Wonder-produced series, said that he was "so proud" of the format that shows "how fabulous" its contestants were.
After thanking the Academy voters, he also urged viewers to get involved in the 2020 presidential election. "Speaking of voting for love, go and register to vote," he added.
Season 11 of the show, which began airing in February, had a record-breaking 15 total contestants, whereas previous seasons typically stuck to 14. Michelle Visage returned as a main judge, while Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews returned as rotating main judges. This year's winner was Yvie Oddly, with Nina West winning Miss Congeniality.

Time to check the Syndicated Scoreboard.

Despite preemptions for football and coverage of Hurricane Dorian, entertainment magazines rose in the Labor Day holiday session ending Sept. 8 as shows aired tributes to the late Valerie Harper.
The Kelly Clarkson Show was the biggest first week of any first-run program launched in the last six years, with a 1.5 rating/5 share weighted metered market average for its primary runs. This included increases over year-ago time periods of 50% in New York, 86% in Los Angeles, 133% in Boston and 140% in San Francisco. Clarkson also climbed 25% on average in the advertiser-coveted women 25-54 age group. The show's strongest performance was in Nashville where it clocked a huge 5.7/16 at 9 a.m., taking the station's time period up 30% from last year.
Also generating plenty of positive ratings buzz, Tamron Hall notched a 1.2/4 weighted average in the overnights, the best first week of any syndicated talk show in five years other than Clarkson's. In addition, Tamron finished first or second in its time periods in six of the top 10 markets including year-over-year gains of 19% in New York, 43% in L.A., 44% in Philadelphia and Atlanta and 80% in Houston. The talker's highest numbers were a 2.8/7 in Memphis at 1 p.m., up 40% from its lead-in, and a 2.5/8 in West Palm Beach, Fla., at 10 a.m., up 38% over what Dr. Oz did in the same slot last year.

Time now for a Gamestop Game break and would you believe, it's time to question this! The category is.....

Andrew Davies.

And the clue is..........

I'll give you the answer after this Google Play music interlude. Game Show Live! is proud to have as a side project to the game show gypsy queen Robyn Cage, Die Shiny. They consist of her bassist Callie Crofts and her drummer Zac Bryant who have made msuic of their own. Now they're together in a new band form but before the song could start, Robyn via tweet has this for you all......

Please do it. Every dollar helps. It looks like the duo are out of the backstage area and ready to go on our stage. Here they are performing their hit song "Radio."

So groovy. But what was the answer, er, sorry, question......

What is Les Miserables?

The miniseries is based on the original novel and consists of six episodes. It was broadcast in the UK between 30 December 2018 and 3 February 2019, and on PBS in the US between 14 April and 19 May 2019.

We like to go to certain places that's ranked the best, but eveyr now & then, we go to places that even Yelp called it the worst. Welcome to America's Worst rated places. We asked our chief investigator Spankie Valentine to find a makeup artist. But did she get scammed? And if yes, did the complaint department had a firestorm of comments?

It's Game Show Live!'s inside look where we go inside and look.......at something.

Reward the fan may not be the only game show that centers around Broadway, Playbill.com recently jumped into the game show gene pool with this.

Here's what's up according to Playbill.com.

Join host Felicia Fitzpatrick and the past, present, and future of Frozen with guests Jelani Alladin, Ryann Redmond, and Caroline Bowman.
Alladin, who recently wrapped up a run in Hercules, made his Broadway debut as Kristoff in the Broadway musical. And while Redmond continues in the show eight times a week as Olaf at Broadway's St. James Theatre, Bowman will soon debut as Elsa in the upcoming national tour, which launches November 10 in Schenectady, New York.
I think if they keep that up, they'll bring in Be More Chill, Rock Of Ages, Mean Girls, Dear Evan hansen and any other Broadway play to come by and play along with us. More eps at playbill.com later this year.
