After a solid opening, Wonka‘s the Golden Ticket jumped up to the top overall spot in Nielsen’s streaming ratings in its second week. Netflix’s East of Eden also had a good start.

The Golden Ticket, a Netflix competition show based on the world of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (and featuring an AI-generated voice modeled on the film’s star, Gene Wilder), drew 1.08 billion minutes of watch time for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 4. That’s a 26 percent improvement on the show’s opening week, when it finished fifth overall.

East of Eden, a limited series adaptation of John Steinbeck’s novel, finished second among original shows and third overall at 782 million viewing minutes. It premiered Oct. 1. Apple TV’s Ted Lasso (750 million minutes) fell off a bit a week before its season four finale, declining by 11 percent from 842 million minutes a week earlier.

The Great British Baking Show (486 million minutes) returned to the charts a week after its latest season premiered.

Neagley, Reacher, Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story and Lioness all hung onto spots in the top 10 originals as well. Toy Story 5, the previous week’s overall top title, fell off by about 55 percent but still led the movie chart with 687 million minutes of viewing.

Shot in Australia, the series sees 12 lucky golden ticket winners entering the Chocolate Factory to compete for a sweet prize: a lifetime supply of money. As the winners and their partners step through the factory gates, they face a series of series of challenges. There are games, tests and temptations designed to test the competitors physically, mentally, and morally before one walks away with the prize.

Dancing with the Stars is still having its moment.

Tuesday night’s episode drew 6.59 million live + same-day viewers, according to Nielsen’s Big Data + Panel, up 2% from the week prior.

Dancing with the Stars led primetime on Tuesday across the major broadcasters. Super Bowl night also posted an 11% ratings increase among adults 18-49, growing to a 1.56, Nielsen reports. That marks the fourth week of growth in a row to hit not only a season high but also the show’s best non-finale episode in over nine years, since “A Night at the Movies” in May 2017.

Tuesday night’s episode saw the remaining couples compete to songs from past Super Bowl halftime performers. The show, where ESPN Monday Night Football’s Joe Buck joined the judges table as well, collected 70 million fan votes cast throughout the night.

With Val already suspended which we'll get to next week. This came up on Threads.

Well, guess what, we checked the ratings and this came up..........................................

And that was 2 weeks ago. Chicago Med helped keep the One Chicago franchise going. Final season? Nope. Contract extension. Get it while it's holy.

Scarlett Johansson is getting into the reality television business.

The Black Widow star is exec producing Assassins, a new series greenlight at Peacock. The series comes from Sony’s B17 Entertainment and founders Brien Meagher and Rhett Bachner are exec producing alongside Johansson.

Assassins follows a group of players competing in a game of strategy and wit inspired by the live-action game played in real life around the world. From the moment they arrive, each player is assigned a target — one person they must eliminate before the season is out. But in this game, every hunter is also the hunted, and no one is ever safe. With shifting alliances and deception, only the most calculating player will survive to win it all, per the logline.

The game, which is popular on college campuses, is essentially a version of tag, which itself was turned into Ultimate Tag for Fox in 2020.

It is the latest competition series based on a real-life game and follows, most notably, Peacock’s own series The Traitors, which is loosely based on Mafia. NBC is currently airing The Traitors: New Blood with Peacock airing season six of the celebrity edition next year.

There have been a number of competition series where contestants are hunted; CBS aired Hunted, based on Channel 4’s British series, for one season in 2017, while The Runner, which came from Pilgrim Media Group and Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, launched on go90 in 2016.

It’s not clear how Johansson got involved in Assassins, but she becomes the latest A-list star to exec produce a reality competition, joining the likes of Brad Pitt, who exec produces Fox’s Lego Masters.

B17 Entertainment is behind series including Fox’s Extracted, ABC’s The Final Straw and Roku’s Thanks A Million.

A popular quiz show is finally returning – after more than a year away from viewers’ screens.

Hosted by comedian Adil Ray, the revived version of Lingo debuted back in 2021.

Lingo has three teams of players made up of pairs and they have to fill in blanks to uncover hidden words. As the prize money increases, so does the risk and if a team doesn’t find the right word, their opponents can steal the prize.

According to TVZone, the quiz will be returning for series five from Monday, October 26.

The publication added Lingo is renewed for a sixth series – before the fifth has even aired on ITV.

The most recent “new” episode to date aired in February 2025, concluding the fourth series.

Series six will reportedly also see the return of the “winner stays on” format. This allows contestants who reach the final round to return and build their prize pot across multiple episodes.

In each of the festive six episodes, two teams of friends, family and neighbors will battle to prove who has the most holiday spirit without blowing their shoestring budget. and here is the under-budgeted Mistplay Game Break. Name the villain from these clues.

  • Ari Lehman portrayed this fictional character.
  • Richard Brooker later portrayed it
  • Tom Morga also portrayed it as well.
  • IGN named this person the Greatest Movie Slasher of all time.
And who is the character you ask? Find out after Svengoolie does a parody. Really.

And this is how you make the answer. By video that is.

Jason vorhees and that hockey goalie mask. In 1992 Jason was awarded the MTV Lifetime Achievement Award.
