The Tubi opening toss up story.
On the heels of Tuesday night, which delivered the show's most-watched premiere in six years, night two of the "Dancing with the Stars" premiere week scored 6.44 million Total Viewers and a 1.32 rating among Adults 18-49 Wednesday night.
"Dancing with the Stars" ranked as TV's No. 1 show in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 on both Tuesday and Wednesday across all entertainment programming, including viewership of streaming originals, based on newly available overnight Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings.
Tuesday's premiere (6.77 million and 1.44 rating) topped its nearest linear competitor, NBC's "America's Got Talent," by +53% in Total Viewers (4.43 million) and by +260% in Adults 18-49 (0.40 rating), and led its nearest competitors on streaming, Paramount+'s "Special Ops: Lioness" (848,000 Total Viewers on day 3 of availability for its most recent episode) and HBO Max's "Lanterns" (0.35 Adults 18-49 rating on day 3 of availability for its most recent episode).
Wednesday's special telecast led its nearest competition in primetime on linear, NBC's "America's Got Talent-Wed" (3.82 million) in Total Viewers and CBS' "Big Brother-Wed" (0.58 rating) in Adults 18-49, and outperformed the day's top streaming title, Amazon's "Reacher" (4.79 million and 1.08 rating, respectively, on the premiere day of its most recent episode) in both measures.
In Adults 18-49, "Dancing with the Stars" Night 1 (1.44 rating) and Night 2 (1.32 rating) stand as TV's two biggest entertainment telecasts since ABC's presentation of "The Oscars(R)" (3/15/26).
Tuesday's season premiere jumped +35% over last year's premiere among Adults 18-49 (1.44 rating vs. 1.07 rating), with the show's best premiere performance in the key Adult demographic in nine years - since 9/18/17.
In addition, among young women, "Dancing with the Stars" scored its best season premiere delivery among Women 18-34 (2.50 rating) in 13 years - since the Season 17 premiere on 9/16/13.
Wednesday's 10 p.m. first-ever "DWTS After Party" delivered a 0.48 rating in Adults 18-49, scoring the best 10 p.m. telecast of any network in over 2 1/2 years - since 2/28/24, with NBC's "Chicago PD," based on regularly-scheduled entertainment programming, excluding NFL/event lead-in nights.
But I got a word from GSL! award winner The_real_t._terry to tell us the reaction to it.
Same goes for Strictly in the UK and BGT. It's a rinse and repeat thing because viewers stick to the same format for newer things and better ratings. It HAS to be stopped!

California is struggling to keep its iconic reality competition shows filming in the Golden State after it emerged that another long-running series is considering an exit. America’s Got Talent is the latest that might move production out of California for its next season, coming days after Deadline revealed that American Idol is on its way to Georgia.
Deadline reports that no final decision has been made, but Fremantle and Simon Cowell’s Syco are considering moving the NBC show to Georgia or Tennessee, per a TMZ report, ahead of Season 22.
It would not be the first time the show taped outside of California - the show's seventh & ninth seasons were shot at NJPAC outside New York.

Cleve Keller and Dave Noll, the format creators behind Chopped, America Says and Flip Side, are bringing a new game show format to the small screen. The duo are teaming with Goliath and Perfect Game on Celebrity Sequence, based on Goliath’s global hit board game Sequence.
The series, which is in development, reimagines Goliath’s Sequence as a star-driven, high-energy studio competition built around a 16-card game board, polling questions, celebrity assists, wild jacks and a $100,000 endgame.
In Celebrity Sequence, teams select cards on a giant game board and answer polling questions with help from one of three celebrities. Strategy, instinct and showmanship collide as players race to build their Sequence – until one team advances to the Ultimate Sequence round for a chance to win $100,000.
“Celebrity Sequence is part Match Game, part Family Feud — and all Sequence,” said Noll. “The board game has that rare mix of simplicity, strategy and instant replay-ability. Our job is to honor what people already love about it, then blow it up into a big, funny, celebrity-fueled television format.”
Goliath previously teamed with Kelly/Noll on Shark Bite, which is in the final stages of development.
Keller/Noll was sought out for the Goliath partnership by Perfect Game, which holds exclusive global media rights to Goliath games.
First introduced more than four decades ago, Sequence has sold more than 50 million units in more than 100 countries. The franchise has expanded into 60 different editions, including Paw Patrol Sequence, Sequence Junior, Sequence Cats & Dogs, Sequence Dice, Sequence Stacks, Sequence Jacks Go Wild, Jumbo Sequence and Sequence Deluxe.

Gordon Ramsay has spent the last 20 years going to Hell and back to find the best head chefs in America — but there’s a new job requirement for “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 25: No applicants over 25 years old.
“These kids have grown up not just watching the show, but there’s a big advantage with food on social media because of the level of insight, the kind of creativity it creates,” Ramsay told TheWrap of his young cast. “Plus, it’s free. Look at what you get to see and understand. So, these kids are the beneficiaries of that and it shows in their cooking. But above all that, their attitude was absolutely spot on.”
As you’ll see in the season premiere Thursday on Fox, “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 25 pulls from previous iterations “Young Guns” and “Battle of the Ages” to once again test which Gen Z chef is ready to be Ramsay’s next protégé.
“When you see these raw, focused, driven individuals, it’s one of the hungriest seasons we’ve ever had because they’re desperate for that platform,” the host and EP said. “They know me, so I was brutally honest with them: ‘You’re going to love me, you’re going to hate me, but you’ll leave a much better person, a much more talented individual.’”
There are 18 contenders, divided into the Blue Team (Men) and the Red Team (Women), who will step into the fiery kitchen to show off their skills.
- Blue Team (Men): Aiden (22, Fullerton, California), Diego (21, Allen Park, Michigan), Dylan (22, Milwaukee, Wisconsin), Gabriel (25, Lake Worth, Florida), Jonathan “Jonny G” (23, Kenscoff, Haiti), Michael (24, Commack, New York), Miguel (22, Houston, Texas), Miles (22, Albuquerque, New Mexico), and Valentín (22, Mendoza, Argentina).
- Red Team (Women): Georgiana (24, Romania, Botosani), Haley (24, Orlando, Florida), Jeyda (23, Houston, Texas), Joy (25, Pennsylvania), Kylie (24, Hopatcong, New Jersey), Mya (25, Beavercreek, Ohio), Nadia (24, George’s County, Maryland), Sandra (21, Bronx, New York), and Serenity (24, Cincinnati, Ohio).
Hell’s Kitchen is produced by ITV America’s ITV Entertainment in association with A. Smith & Co. Productions, Inc. Gordon Ramsay, Arthur Smith, Kent Weed, Kenny Rosen, David George, and Bernie Schaeffer serve as executive producers.

Two of the most popular faces from Prime Video's Last One Laughing UK are heading to Netflix for a brand new comedy entertainment show built around a game that deliberately makes no sense.
Of course, it's Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade who will lead the line-up in Hot or Cold, a series set inside a mysterious institution where contestants tackle challenges with no obvious logic. The pair, who both featured in the first season of Last One Laughing UK alongside the likes of Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett and Rob Beckett, will front a cast of comedians and funny celebrities racing through room after room to be crowned Hot or Cold champions.
The premise takes the classic childhood guessing game and hands it to adults who, as Netflix say, "really should know better". Players get no instructions. Their only guide is the room itself, which glows red when they are getting warmer and blue when they are getting colder. The challenges span the simple to the completely absurd as pairs work out what on earth they are meant to be doing.
Mortimer, a two-time Last One Laughing UK favourite whose deadpan storytelling has made him one of British comedy's most-loved figures, said: "Spending time with Richard Ayoade is one of my all-time favourite things to do. Closely followed by playing Hot or Cold, so this has worked out brilliantly."
Ayoade, best known for The IT Crowd and as a former Travel Man host, offered a characteristically dry response to the show's stripped-back rules, adding: "Although I prefer mild temperatures, it's been instructive to participate in something as binary as this."
The series comes from Zeppotron, the production company behind Last One Laughing UK. Executive producer Chris Cohen said the show's baffling set-up suited him perfectly.
He commented: "I've spent my entire career in telly walking into rooms and having no idea what's going on, so it's a delight to work with Netflix and finally make a show with that exact premise. We are thrilled to have two of Britain's best in Bob and Richard at the heart of it all."
The full line-up of comedians and celebrities joining Mortimer and Ayoade, along with a release date, is yet to be confirmed.
