While Bad Bunny is taking the stage at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8, Turning Point USA is offering an alternative form of entertainment to compete with the big game. The right-wing nonprofit organization, which was founded by Charlie Kirk, is holding the All-American Halftime Show, with four country artists hitting the stage.
In addition to headliner Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and former American Idol contestant Gabby Barrett will be taking part in the All-American Halftime Show. The lineup was announced on Monday, February 2, and there was quite a reaction to the news online.
“Lmao nobody watching this s**t,” one person commented on the official Turning Point USA Instagram announcement. “Cringe asf 🤣🤣🤣 y’all are soooo mad about Spanish music being performed it’s HYSTERICAL,” someone else chimed in.
Over on Reddit, the backlash was even more intense. “Oh come on Gabby, I liked your music,” one person wrote, while another said, “The washed-up has-beens vs. Bad Bunny, Green Day, and Brandi Carlile.” Someone else commented, “I think they’d rather hate watch the actual Halftime show and angry tweet than scramble to find this show.” Another user added, “This is worse than I thought it would be.”
Barrett previously performed at the White House Christmas Tree Lighting in 2018 while Donald Trump was president. “Honored that I was invited to sing for the President last night at the White House. Airs on TV Dec. 2nd!” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
Turning Point USA announced its decision to have an alternative Halftime Show performance after Bad Bunny was confirmed to be performing at the Super Bowl in 2026. The event will be streamed on Turning Point’s social media platforms.

After her Jeopardy! career came to a close, Amy Schneider wanted to find a new passion. She turned to stand-up comedy as a side hustle. Now, she has brought in five Jeopardy! winners to join her in a festival.
Schneider, a former software engineer manager and author, will be joined by Sam Buttrey, Guy Branum, Isaac Hirsch, Joey Bland, and Claire Sattler at the SF Sketchfest. “SF Sketchfest presents the first-ever comedy show in which all the performers have been Jeopardy! contestants, and all the performers are professional comedians!* Check it out! *Except me. #jeopardy #sfsketchfest,” Buttrey wrote on Instagram on January 23.
The Sketchfest runs from January 15 to February 1. Amy Schneider is in two groups. The sketch called Upright Citizens Brigade: Asssscat, she is not in with her Jeopardy! friends. However, they all join her on stage for What Is Funny? With Amy Schneider. Check out the full lineup here.
Sketchfest was founded in 2001 to highlight sketch groups in San Francisco. The Great British Bake Off is hoping Nigella Lawson can rise to the occasion as its new judge.
Lawson, a fixture of British TV cooking for decades, known for her comforting and often sumptuous recipes, is to replace Prue Leith, who announced she was leaving the Bake Off tent last week.
Lawson will join Paul Hollywood in presiding over contestant bakes on the hit series, which streams on Netflix in the U.S. under the title The Great British Baking Show.
In a statement, Lawson said: "I'm uncharacteristically rather lost for words right now! Of course it's daunting to be following in the footsteps of Prue Leith and Mary Berry before her, great dames both, but I'm also bubbling with excitement.
"The Great British Bake Off is more than a television programme, it's a national treasure – and it's a huge honour to be entrusted with it. I'm just thrilled to be joining the team and all the new bakers to come, I wish the marvellous Prue all the best, and am giddily grateful for the opportunity."
Leith posted on Instagram in the past hour saying, "now feels like the right time to step back," adding: "I'm 86 for goodness sake!" "There's so much I'd like to do, not least spend summers enjoying my garden," she added. "Whoever joins the team, I'm sure they'll love it as much as I have. I feel very lucky to have been part of it."
Leith said she has judged more than 400 challenges on the hit baking show across nine years.
She first joined Bake Off when it was audaciously poached by Channel 4 from the BBC, replacing Mary Berry. She has since worked alongside fellow judge Paul Hollywood and hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond, and before them Matt Lucas and Sandi Toksvig.
Leith was known for her frank responses, warm demeanor and trademark "delicious" response when enjoying a treat cooked by one of the many contestants who enters the Bake Off tent.
Sony Pictures Television has secured an option agreement with Thailand's TV Thunder and Columbia Pictures' Aquaverse to develop "100 Choices," SPT's unscripted entertainment format, with production set to take place at the Columbia Pictures-themed water park in Thailand.
The comedy family format challenges contestants to answer a single question with 100 possible answers for a large cash prize. Given the near-impossible nature of the questions, participants compete in five physical challenges that allow them to eliminate potential answers based on their performance in each round. The game show combines strategy, physical prowess and teamwork as contestants work to narrow down their options.
Thunder will adapt and produce the local version, customizing the format for a large-scale waterpark environment. Columbia Pictures' Aquaverse, located in the seaside town of Bangsaray, near Pattaya, will serve as the production's home base. The arrangement aims to engage family audiences while driving visibility for the theme park, which features rides and attractions based on Hollywood franchises including "Ghostbusters," "Jumanji," "Bad Boys" and "Hotel Transylvania."
Anyone remember this?
Minute to Win it was like Beat The Clock on steroids. If NBC or Peacock were to get it back, I would..........
-Get Apolo Anton Ohno to host it
-Have the same money tree GSN had plus one harder stunt for 10x the top prize
-Use a simplify to make the stunt easier when it gets harder
-Add extra lives on the 5th and 8th stunt
-Offer cash for the last 3 stunts before they start.
And most of all.....
-Move to Dublin like Fox had done.
Anything I miss out? No.
And let us end with this.
