CBS and Zynga are teaming up to bring "Survivor" into the hands of fans with a multi-title mobile game partnership tied to the debut of the show's landmark 50th season.
The collaboration marks the first time in the franchise's 25-year history that "Survivor" will be integrated into mobile games, rolling out themed events and gameplay across several Zynga titles. Participating games include "Words With Friends," "Zynga Poker," "Two Dots," "FarmVille 3" and "Dragon City," with content launching around the season premiere this month and continuing throughout the run.
"Survivor 50" kicks off with a three-hour premiere Feb. 25, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. The milestone season features 24 returning castaways from across the series' history and introduces fan-driven elements that allow viewers to influence the game for the first time.
Zynga's integrations are designed to reflect "Survivor's" signature mix of strategy, competition and puzzles. "Words With Friends" will spotlight word-based challenges inspired by the show, while "Zynga Poker" will host watch events tied to weekly episodes. "Two Dots," "FarmVille 3" and "Dragon City" will each introduce limited-time challenges, themed rewards and season-long events aligned with the series.
The partnership also includes a "Zynga Poker" sweepstakes offering players the chance to win a trip for two to attend the live "Survivor 50" finale in Los Angeles.
Hosted by five-time Emmy winner Jeff Probst, "Survivor 50" celebrates the franchise's legacy while pushing into new interactive territory, extending the long-running reality competition beyond television and directly into fans' favorite games.
The selected episodes included in the "Road to 50" special programming event are:

Since I have the CW app on my phone, I keep telling myself, what if UPN was still alive? Well......here you go.
Which one is your favorite? I'll give you the contacts later but for right now it's the Yay & Yawn of February.
The Yay: Jennifer Hudson. Just when Sherri and Kelly got the pink slip in their dressing rooms, JHud stays active and keeps the happy place going in daytime despite the changes TV has in daytime.
The yawn: Buzzr leaning towards the GSN phase. Is it too late to get more modern stuff on there?

Amy: Today's program is sponsored by....The Riley and Kimmy Show.
And trying not to scambait the blood bank, it's Pierre Kelly!
Me: Thanks Amy and let's all remember a show that was way before Grey's Anatomy and at a time when ER was hot.
Scrubs was like the lighter side of General Hospital and for close to 9 seasons, it followed medical students trying........and I mean trying to be nurses one day. This week, ABC will bring back the show that'll halt up Grey's Anatomy for good and have fans remember what it was like being at the Sacred Heart hospital. JD and Turk, it's time to make McDreamy turn into a walking nightmare.

The London company that controls the rights to Who Wants to be a Millionaire has delivered a jackpot of its own, paying a £20 million dividend from profits generated by the hugely successful quiz show.
Latest accounts for Paddington based Sony Pictures Television UK Rights reveal that the program - known for its "phone a friend" and 50/50 lifelines - remains a formidable money spinner nearly 30 years after it first hit TV screens in Britain. The format, in which contestants answer questions with increasingly valuable prizes up to the £1 million jackpot, still generates 82% of Sony Pictures Television UK Rights revenues, according to latest accounts for the year to 31 March 2025 filed this month at Companies House.
The £20 million dividend was the first paid by the company since the £15 million distribution in 2021. It is paid to the company's immediate parent Columbia Pictures Corporation, which is ultimately owned by the Japanese entertainment and electronics giant.
Revenues increased 8.2% to £12.3 million during the year but the the expansion came with a surge in costs, driving down pre-tax profits by 31% to £5.2 million.
The Millionaire format was broadcast in 45 territories around the world last year, including 17 opened up during an aggressive expansion over recent years. Since launch in 1998 it has been shown in more than 120 countries and has inspired the multi Oscar winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, and the play and ITV drama Quiz, about the "coughing major" Charles Ingram.
The rights to the high stakes general knowledge TV quiz have been owned by Sony since 2008 when it paid £137.5 million to buy Dutch production company 2waytraffic. It had in turn bought the worldwide rights to the show two years earlier from Celador, the British production company co-founded by comedian Jasper Carrott. Celador created the format to the show which became an overnight success when it debuted on ITV in 1998 with Chris Tarrant as the host, instantly making famous catchphrases such as "Is the your final answer?". He was succeeded by Jeremy Clarkson in 2018.
Since Sony took over the show, its UK TV rights subsidiary has paid it a total of £258.6 million in dividends, giving the studio almost double its money back. Millionaire Hot Seat, a spin-off series hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, launched last month and the accounts reveal that Sony has identified "opportunities in adding services such as in-show interactivity and off-air exploitation of rights to the core TV format licensing proposition."

Oh.......Rats.
Scabby the Rat appeared in an unusual place on Wednesday.
With dozens of union staff picketing, the inflatable rodent — a near-universal symbol used by trade unions across the U.S. to call out employers for union-busting practices — was swaying in the wind on the corner of 3rd Street and Fairfax Avenue in L.A., right outside the Writers Guild of America West headquarters.
The Writers Guild Staff Union, which represents about 115 of the 160 guild employees, went on strike this week after repeatedly accusing WGAW management of unfair labor practices as the group sought to negotiate its first contract, including unlawfully firing a member of the organizing committee. The union staff organized last spring and have been bargaining their first contract with management intermittently since September.

Let me take a 20 second time out as to why One Chicago should leave by next year. If Dick Wold decides it's time to call it thanks to it's ratings, I'd say move all the old episodes to a streaming channel to Free ad supported services and end with all the Chicago departments graduate to new York or Los Angeles. But that's my idea.

Magnum Media's hit quiz show The 1% Club has clocked up two more international sales, to Sweden's SVT and Italy's Mediaset, taking it to 15 territories worldwide.
Created by Magnum's Andy Auerbach and Dean Nabarro, the show tests how contestants' brains work through a series of questions based on a scientific survey of the general public.
Gameplay starts with the questions answered correctly by the largest number of the survey sample and progresses through to a final challenge which only the cleverest 1% answered correctly.
The quiz debuted in the UK, where it airs on ITV and is currently midway through its fifth season, with international format sales handled by BBC Studios – the broadcaster's global production and sales business.
Fox has renewed the US version for a third season; the German edition has so far aired for four seasons; Spain's Antena 3 has aired two seasons; in France the local version hit a new high of 3.3m viewers for its fourth season; and Israel has commissioned its third season.
Beyond TV the brand has launched a digital extension on Smart TV platform Game.City and a Nintendo Switch version is coming soon while in the UK The Telegraph newspaper recently launched a daily game of The 1% Club for its subscribers.

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM is bringing a new non-scripted survival format, Synchro Game, to MIP London, marking its latest co-production with TBS.
Synchro Game is a survival game show where brainpower and physical strength must operate as one system. When the sharpest minds are paired with the strongest bodies, survival becomes a test of perfect synchronization. The best "Brains" and Physicals" form teams and face challenges that push both intellect and endurance to the limit. Winning isn't about being smarter or stronger—it's about which team can combine their strengths, adapt faster than the rest, and outlast the competition.
Produced by Nam Kyung-mo, in collaboration with Takehisa Mizuno, a producer from Global IP Studio of TBS, the show features a standout cast representing Korea's top intellectuals and physical competitors.
Since launching their partnership in 2021, CJ ENM and TBS have steadily deepened their creative collaboration. Their first jointly produced non-scripted format, MUGEN LOOP (Infinite Loop), aired in Korea and Japan in 2025 and earned a nomination for Best Studio-Based Gameshow Format at the International Format Awards 2025. Building on this momentum, Synchro Game signals the next evolution of their cross-border partnership.
Sebastian Kim, Head of CJ ENM's Content Distribution Business Unit, commented, 'Developed in partnership with Japan's top broadcaster, TBS, Synchro Game reflects a shared approach to building a well-made format from the ground up. Presenting the show at MIP London marks an important opportunity to position the format for international audiences'.
