Somebody got a blackjack number over the holidays and it belongs to............

@the_real_t._terry on Instagram and Threads. If you rember before we broke away for the holidays, he was the recipent of the Stephen A. Smith award of excellence at last month's Game Show Live! honors. This is what he said when he turned the big number.

My birthday was two days ago, but I finally hit 21, stayed at the table without busting, doubled down on good vibes, and celebrated with an Oreo Blizzard and a plate of BBQ boneless wings. Because that’s a winning hand.

Feels good don't it. Because I'm such a nice guy. Here's him on today's match game. You know, the one they shot up in canada......

Then he says this.

It’s pretty well known that Match Game made a comeback after Lucky 13 got the cancellation boot about six months ago. From the moment it was announced, the outcome felt less like a gamble and more like a foregone conclusion. let alone finalized, as more of a sure thing, which really led to what ended up being one of the more misguided revivals that ABC has managed to attempt at the network in quite some time.

It makes no sense why @abc would cancel one show and then create another in the same universe, the same reality with NCIS: Hawaii given the cancellation boot only to launch another NCIS spin-off set in a different city or country.

And I’ll tell you what; these kinds of hollow revivals are just as irrelevant, infuriating, and nauseating as these talent shows bloated with sob stories and gimmicks that people don't remember being in a show, tired late-night fairytales, performative outrage, manufactured celebrity survey gossip, custom-prize hype noise and endless culture-war all in one package.

So it's true. The 1973-82 Match Game showed why we can all be funny and provided us with classic moments that defined what a game show really is. Happy 21st! Pretty soon this December, he'll turn Taylor Swift's favorite number. Then again, he might talk about digital subchannels and why they're better than local news on local stations.

Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that he was "very nervous" after putting his "heart and soul" into his brand new TV show.

The TV presenter is known for his work on Top Gear and The Grand Tour, and lives in Oxfordshire. It is there in the Cotswolds where he runs his Chadlington-based Diddly Squat Farm and Astahll-located pub, The Farmer's Dog.

Clarkson is set to return to screens next week with his brand new show, Millionaire Hot Seat, which is a spin-off from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Speaking ahead of the new ITV show, the 65-year-old was asked whether he felt nervous before he started filming.

In response, the TV star said: "Very. Of course, I put my heart and soul into it all, but I was still nervous."

The TV presenter was then asked why he still works, to which he replied: "You would rot if you didn't.

"I'm genuinely frightened because until March, I won't be filming a TV show for the first time in forty years. That will be three months of sh*t."

When business revs back up next week, Warner Bros. Discovery looks set to reject Paramount's amended hostile takeover bid due in part to concerns at the delay that could dog its planned cable spinoff if a deal falls through, Deadline reports.

WBD agreed earlier this month to sell its studio and streaming assets to Netflix in a cash and stock transaction worth $27.75 a share as it packages the rest into a standalone publicly traded linear television company called Discovery Global by the third quarter of next year. Paramount Skydance is offering to buy all of WBD, which would mean pencils down on a separation as the broader deal works its way through a potentially fraught regulatory process.

David Ellison-led Paramount has insisted that it has the easier path to approval and that may be, but some investors seem to feel that things are not quite as clear cut as they initially seemed. President Donald Trump, who has said outright he'll be involved in a decision, is friendly with David Ellison's father and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison but recently fumed at CBS about a 60 Minutes interview with Majorie Taylor Greene, calling Ellison-owned Paramount "no better than the old ownership." Skydance acquired CBS parent Paramount in August. Trump described Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos as "fantastic" but also noted that a combined Netflix-Warner would "have a very big market share" in streaming. Further confusing the issue, he also said he opposes any plan in which WBD continues to own CNN.

WBD announced its Netflix deal in November over rivals bids from Paramount and Comcast. The NBCUniversal parent bowed out, but Paramount went over the heads of Warner's board directly to shareholders with a hostile offer that WBD formally rejected. In an amended offer, Paramount added a $40.4 billion personal financial guarantee by Larry Ellison and raised its breakup fee to $5.8 billion, matching Netflix. But it did not sweeten the base amount of the bid, which still stands at $30 a share in cash. WBD last said Dec. 22 that it was considering the revised offer. Deadline hears the board will meet next week and no final decision has yet been made, but it seems a rejection is in the cards.

Ant and Dec have signed on for another three years. The I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Britain's Got Talent hosts will have been on the network for 30 years by the time their latest contract elapses.

Next year alone, they will appear on new series of Ant & Dec's Limitless Win, Britain's Got Talent, I'm A Celebrity South Africa, which returns to screens three years after its first run, and I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! The pair work closely with I'm a Celebrity producer Lifted Entertainment but also run a prodco, Mitre Studios, which makes the likes of Limitless Win, which can be streamed stateside on Prime Video.

ITV stressed that the exclusive partnership is very much for streaming as well as linear TV, revealing that Ant and Dec's shows combined have now been streamed on ITVX 688 million times.

Ant and Dec entered the ITV realm when they hosted weekend morning show SM:TV in their early 20s. They have since become total fixtures on the channel and I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Britain's Got Talent remain two of the network's biggest shows. They have won 48 National Television Awards and 18 BAFTA Television Awards.

There have been ups and downs – Ant has spent time in rehab and Saturday Night Takeaway was placed on indefinite hiatus last year – but it is hard to imagine the channel without them.

Kevin Lygo, Managing Director for Media and Entertainment at ITV, said: "Ant & Dec's impact upon the world of live entertainment is unrivalled, with their triumphant partnership reigning supreme for over three decades. This new three year working relationship marks an exciting new chapter with ITV, which I have no doubt will be full of yet more unmissable entertainment."

In what is being seen as one of the biggest television deals of the year, Sony Entertainment Television is set to bring the legendary global reality game show Wheel of Fortune to Indian television and OTT, with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar roped in as the host. The move comes after decades of unmatched success of Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, which proved that Indian audiences have an enduring love for intelligent, family-friendly game shows.

Industry sources confirm that Sony has acquired the Indian rights to Wheel of Fortune, one of the longest-running and most successful reality formats in the world, and is planning a grand desi reboot with high production values, big prizes and mass appeal to be anchored by Akshay Kumar. The shoot starts in mid-January.

For over 20 years, Kaun Banega Crorepati has dominated Indian television, becoming more than just a show - it turned into a cultural phenomenon. It changed prime-time viewing habits, brought knowledge-based entertainment into Indian living rooms and proved that audiences enjoy aspirational yet relatable formats. Sony's decision to bring Wheel of Fortune is being seen as a strategic move to recreate that magic with a fresh, fast-paced and globally trusted format. While KBC focuses on knowledge and life-changing jackpots, Wheel of Fortune offers quick wins, word puzzles, luck, strategy and instant gratification.

According to insiders, Sony needed a pan-India superstar host who connects equally with metros and small towns, and Akshay Kumar fit the bill perfectly. This will mark Akshay Kumar's return to mainstream television hosting after earlier successful stints, and the channel is banking heavily on his sharp humour, easy rapport with contestants and ability to keep the show lively without overpowering it. "A show like Wheel of Fortune needs a host who feels approachable, warm and energetic. Akshay ticks all the boxes," says a source close to the production.

First launched in the US in the 1970s, Wheel of Fortune is one of the most iconic TV formats in history, adapted in over 60 countries. The giant spinning wheel, letter-guessing puzzles and high-stakes rounds have made it a staple of global entertainment. Sony plans to retain the core international structure while infusing it with Indian flavour, including Hindi and regional phrases, Indian cultural references and special celebrity episodes.

The show is expected to air on Sony TV with simultaneous availability on SonyLIV, giving it massive reach across television and digital platforms.

Banijay Entertainment now holds the international rights to Rabbit Films' creator-led competition format All Star Hide and Seek.

"With All Star Hide and Seek, we are opening the doors to some of the world's most spectacular locations," said Samantha Ferguson, VP of international at Rabbit Films. "The format proves that location-based production doesn't have to break the bank. By partnering with existing entertainment venues, we can deliver cinematic scale at a fraction of the cost. From YouTube to prime time, and now across multiple territories, the format's versatility and accessibility are resonating with broadcasters who want big event television without the big event budget."

Created by Troot Finland, the format originally launched on streamer Ruutu+ in Finland and starred popular Finnish digital creator Roni Bäck. All Star Hide and Seek combines social video and television with influencers and TV personalities hiding across unique real-world locations–from amusement parks to cultural landmarks–while the host deploys clever tactics to track them down.

"This format authentically began in the creator community and went on to prove its strength on streaming," said Helen Greatorex, head of format acquisitions at Banijay Entertainment. "Under Banijay Entertainment, All Star Hide and Seek will be adapted to suit all budgets, engaging audiences with real-world locations and gripping storytelling. By combining creators and celebrities, we are bridging two worlds to deliver a format that's perfect for primetime and packed with shareable viral moments."

And look what I found. A Mistplay Game Break. Name something from these clues.

  • It ran for a month in 1988.
  • It took place in a bowling alley
  • An MTV game show made fun of one of its host's show
  • A famous sibling to a late musician, singer and composer was also the co host.

Figure out what this forgotten show is after this one from Lizzy Cameron.

And the show I asked you to ID it was..............

God nobody watched that. Here's a clip from it.
