Me: Hi everyone, good afternoon from the Pacific Bay area and ‬TGIF! Hope you are well. And if you aren't well, well........

Today is National Coming Out Day. We celebrate the LBGQTIA community in the game show and reality world. Now let's........get wired!!!!!!!

Lasting stress can be caused by all kinds of trauma, including, it seems having a bad night on Jeopardy!

On Friday, more than a dozen former contestants from the game show joined in on a discussion of their continued anxiety over appearing on the show and revealed just how much they continued to carry the weight of the experience, sometimes even years after their episodes aired.

The topic was introduced on Reddit, by a former Jeopardy! contestant who asked others of their ilk, “Is Post-Jeopardy Syndrome a thing?” and elaborated, “I was recently on the show and I’m still reeling. I can’t stop going over some boneheaded mistakes I made, even though I did OK and the whole experience was incredible. It seems to be a known phenomenon. How did you deal with it? How long will it last? And how did you avoid reading about yourself on social media?”

Greg Munda, who appeared on the show in 2013, revealed, “It was years before I could even start watching Jeopardy with others again… I would joke (to myself and people who knew) that I couldn’t beat myself up over not winning because ‘beat’ was the correct response to the Final Jeopardy I blew.”

A more recent contestant who remained anonymous, wrote, “Coming down off the adrenaline high took several sleepless nights, and even then it’s still there somewhat. The process to get on to Jeopardy is not a short one – from the anytime test to being on stage can take 2-3 years for some people. Plus there’s prep and study work, even if minimal, that most every contestant does in order not to look ‘foolish’ on national TV. It’s a lot to deal with.”

And Susan Robbins, who appeared on the show back in 2002, answered the original question by saying it’d take “20 plus years” to get past “Post-Jeopardy! Syndrome.”

You Kid-Ing me?

Maggie Sajak is giving Wheel of Fortune fans the crossover they didn’t know they needed. Pat Sajak’s daughter and WoF’s social media correspondent took full advantage of the empty studio to put her spin on Nicole Kidman’s ubiquitous AMC ad, crafting what may be her most outstanding piece of content yet.

The 29-year-old shared the Instagram montage on Friday, set to the audio of Kidman’s commercial that airs before movies at AMC Theaters.

Wearing a fittingly regal blue dress, Maggie lip-synched the ad from various locales, including backstage, at the wheel, puzzle board, and in the audience. Maggie, like Kidman, was also completely alone as she likened WoF to movie magic.

“We come to this place for magic,” Maggie began from the WoF stage. “We come to AMC theaters to laugh, to cry, to care” she continued (each stanza from a new location), channeling her best awe-inspired Kidman. “Because we need that, all of us. That indescribable feeling we get when the lights dim and we go somewhere we’ve never been before. Because here, we are.”

“We come to Wheel of Fortune to spin, to win…to care,” Maggie captioned the post.

While she didn’t lip-synch the entire monologue (which has its own Genius annotation page), fans gushed over the impressive upload in the comments section and agreed she’d outdone herself.

Sajak, of course, is now retired, and Season 42 of WoF is the first with a new host in Ryan Seacrest, who replaced the legend of four decades and is taking the stage nightly alongside TV royalty Vanna White.

As for Maggie, she handles WoF’s Instagram page, does the “Fan Friday” giveaway as well as shares bonus videos with each episode’s winners.

Right in There!!!!!!

Wheel of Fortune is bringing back fan-favorite contestants all week and there were no ifs, ands, or butts about the return of Tavaris Williams.

Tavaris went viral last May for his colossally incorrect guess to a “Phrase” puzzle. The $1000 puzzle was seeking “This is The Best.” Partially filled out, he confidently rang in with the answer heard around the world: “Right in the butt!” leaving former host Pat Sajak speechless and a fellow player exclaiming “What?”

The internet sensation got a shot at redemption on Wednesday, October 2. Although Tavaris did not technically take the stage as part of the BetMGM Big Winners Tournament for select past winners from the previous season (he didn’t win his episode), he took on a series of puzzles in an official bonus video with Sajak’s daughter, Maggie Sajak.

Maggie, WoF‘s social media correspondent, joined Tavaris to “play some puzzles and see how it goes,” as she put it with a nervous giggle — this time Tavaris solved every puzzle correctly, decidedly not going viral a second time.

In a cruel twist, the last puzzle in the redo round was once again “This Is The Best” – AKA the puzzle in which the infamous guess took place. Tavaris and Maggie burst out laughing and the contestant defended his initial answer.

“I will die on this hill,” he said. “It fit, it was plausible. You get two seconds. I saw the ‘B,’ I saw the ‘T,’ I saw the ‘The.’ It was a 50/50 shot. I was so wrong.”

“Everyone gets a 2nd chance with @BetMGM!” WoF’s Instagram video was captioned. ‘Tavaris made waves with his answer on our first BetMGM @WheelOfFortune week but didn’t secure the W. So, we brought him back for round 2 with @maggiesajak! Here’s to REDEMPTION!”

Fans flooded the comment section thrilled to see Tavaris get his comeuppance and reacted to him standing by his gut, or butt, instinct.

“We love Tavaris,” one fan commented.

“This moment will outlive us all! My great-great grandchildren will know of Tavaris,” wrote another.

“I cannot see anything but ‘RITE IN THE BUTT’. Tavaris is the best,” wrote a third.

“There are five letters in ‘right'” snarked a fourth.

“Not the last puzzle… ” wrote a fifth.

Shortly after Tavaris’ iconic blunder, he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and revealed how Pat handled the mishap.

“He made me feel so great about that at the break,” Tavaris shared. “He said, ‘You know, we’ll find a tactful way of editing it. I don’t know how, but we’ll do it.'”

Now we get to the part where we have these things to fit the list:

Someone who can stream for more than one year of his or her own time, can be of some certain variety or within the realm outside of video games (i.e. Artwork, Music), viewership numbers on averages and the category most important: Play Jackbox games if necesssary. This month's recipient: the_Windbag. Since Livewire! is on every other Friday, The_windbag thinks it's TGI Fridays. His Friday Night forkin' series gives in to the viewers of Twitch to pretend it's a late night talk show as if The CW actually came into fruition. Check out his finer work in general.

He mostly plays Disco Elysium and that's just it. Otherwise, it's a talk show gone horribly wrong. So get to this site here:

So, The_Windbag, you'll feel really windy because..............

You are the Twitchhead of the month for October of 2024. You get an imaginary plaque to hang on the wall, bragging rights and what else, Amy Irons?

Amy: Tickets to John Kerwin's new talk show to prove how a talk show is ACTUALLY done. Right, Pierre?

Me: Right. We'll be back next month to see who else is forkin' over something.

Prime Video has revealed the stellar line-up for UK Original series Last One Laughing UK. The series will feature a multitude of British comics: Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley and Richard Ayoade - with Jimmy Carr in the host's seat alongside special guest Rosin Conaty.

Famous for his dark humour, one-liners and THAT laugh, Jimmy Carr challenges 10 of Britain's funniest comics to spend the day together without so much as a titter. The rules are simple: laugh and you're out. Over the course of the series, they will use every ounce of their comedic talents to try and break their opponents - without cracking up themselves. And it's not just their rivals they need to watch out for. The series is packed with comedy cameos, format twists and surprises designed to lure laughs from both the players and the viewers. It's a stellar line up of British comedy talent as you've never seen them before, but who will be crowned the inaugural winner of Last One Laughing UK?

Last One Laughing UK is the latest adaptation of the successful Amazon Original series from Japan entitled Documental, created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto and owned by Yoshimoto Kogyo, where Matsumoto leads 10 comedians betting their own money in an anything goes "battle of laughter behind closed doors." The fan-favourite Last One Laughing format became the most watched title of all time on Prime Video in France, Germany and Italy, and had hugely successful local versions in over 20 territories. Local celebrity hosts include Graham Norton (Ireland), Jay Baruchel (Canada), Eugenio Derbez (Mexico), Fedez (Italy), Michael "Bully" Herbig (Germany), Rebel Wilson (Australia) and Trevor Noah (South Africa).

Last One Laughing UK is produced by Banijay UK labels Zeppotron and Initial.
