The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

American Idol has found its new Katy Perry.

Deadline reports that Carrie Underwood has replaced the I Kissed A Girl star on the judging panel. Underwood, of course, rose to fame for winning the fourth season of the ABC show. She is expected to sit alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on the panel for Season 25.

The Disney-owned network has been searching for a replacement for the last few months and Deadline heard that other names that were in talks before Underwood included Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, something that Luke Bryan alluded, highlighting Pink and Meghan Trainor as well.

Underwood, who has sold around 85M records, is widely considered the most successful of the American Idol winners. She auditioned for the show with Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me and her version of Alone was thought to be one of the reasons for her win.

Perry, Bryan, and Lionel Richie joined American Idol in Season 16 when ABC rebooted the competition.

Following her American Idol exit, Perry said she would focus on her music career and revealed her new song would be Woman's World, which was released earlier this month.

ABC renewed the show earlier this spring, Season 8 for the network, ahead of the finale of this season. American Idol has provided consistently strong ratings for ABC since the network picked it up in 2018 (after it ended its run at Fox in 2016).

Turning herself into Megan Thee Stallion after eating a british pastry.....................

Trapped in a pone booth that isn't exactly a TARDIS..............

And a random fact about her life.

But all in all...............she did this.

And pulled it off perfectly. Next time she gets back, she might tour Scotland. Heard it's much rainy up north.

Today, Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television (SPT) have announced Colin Jost as host of Pop Culture Jeopardy!, the first Jeopardy! series created exclusively for a major streaming service. The multiple Emmy(R) Award-winning writer, actor, and comedian will be behind the lectern when Pop Culture Jeopardy! premieres on Prime Video.

"Colin's sharp wit and intelligence epitomize Pop Culture Jeopardy!," said Suzanne Prete, President, Game Shows, Sony Pictures Television. "He's smart and quick, like our contestants, and we know he'll be able to keep up with them while making this new series his own. We could not be happier that he is joining us for this new journey."

"What is: I'm excited," said Jost.

"We're thrilled to welcome the multi-talented Colin Jost as the host of Pop Culture Jeopardy!," said Lauren Anderson, head of brand and content innovation, Amazon MGM Studios. "Colin's wry affability and pop culture fluency make him uniquely qualified as the perfect host for this new iteration of the beloved franchise."

Pop Culture Jeopardy! is a brand-new twist on the classic quiz show's "answer-and-question" format that combines the academic rigor of Jeopardy! with the excitement and unpredictability of pop culture. Contestants, playing in teams of three, will need to be experts in categories from Alternative Rock to The Avengers; Broadway to MMA; Gen Z to Zendaya as they compete in a tournament-style event for the grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.

Pop Culture Jeopardy! is produced by Sony Pictures Television for Prime Video. Seven-time Emmy(R) Award winner, Michael Davies, serves as executive producer.

Game show fans are not very happy right now. Via The U.S. Sun, both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune are no longer streaming on Pluto TV. The long-running game shows once had 24/7 channels dedicated to them, streaming for free on Pluto TV. As of Wednesday, July 31, however, that is no longer the case. The Jeopardy! channel also included reruns from Alex Trebek's era, making the removal even more heartbreaking.

The removals come in the midst of Jeopardy! and Wheel's summer hiatuses, meaning that, aside from reruns on broadcast TV, fans aren't able to go back whenever they want and watch fan-favorite episodes. Viewers had taken to Reddit to share their disapproval for the removals, expressing how sudden it was and how devastated they truly are.

Outwit, Outlast, Out the Door it goes!

Survivor UK has reportedly been dropped by the BBC after months of questions over its fate.

The iconic reality show made a return to British TV screens last year on BBC One.

However the show struggled in the ratings in a competitive Saturday night slot. Survivor aired right after Strictly Come Dancing in the autumn, averaging an audience of around 2.5 million viewers.

In January it was revealed that work was underway on a 'potential' second series, with casting open for contestants.

And we're not out the door yet. We're about to do your Mistplay Game break and Fix The Mistake.
