The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

And that was a long time ago. Now the most iconic studio known to Hollywood history moves out for good.

The Price Is Right is saying goodbye to its longtime home in a special season finale, airing Monday, June 26 on CBS.

Since "The Price is Right" relaunched in 1972 with former host Bob Barker, the show has taped more than 9,500 episodes on the Television City lot in Los Angeles. However, now it's headed to a new home.

"I'll miss, like, the sense of history," current host and comedian Drew Carey told CBS News about the move.

"When I come in here it's just always felt like a nice, comfortable shoe," added Carey, who has hosted the show since 2007.

Memorable games like Plinko, Hole in One and the Showcase Showdown are all headed to a brand new stage in the nearby city of Glendale, located in the northeast L.A. metropolitan area.

"I grew up watching this show with my grandma every day, so it's a sad day for me for sure," said Amber Lancaster, a model on the show.

That was a sentiment echoed by show announcer George Gray, who is sad to see the show leaving Studio 33, the same stage that was used by the legendary "The Carol Burnett Show." "

If it was up to me, we wouldn't leave, you know," Gray said. "I mean, I love this history."

"The fact that I'm here and I'm the last one to host this 'Price is Right' here, and they're trusting me to move it along and start the whole stage again, I feel pretty good about that, a pretty good honor," Carey said.

The Price Is Right, created by Bob Stewart and developed by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman, premiered on September 4, 1972, a reboot of the classic auction game hosted by Bill Cullen. Bob Barker hosted the program from its inception until his retirement in 2007, when Carey took over.

The stage, which was previously home to The Carol Burnett Show, The Jack Benny Program, and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, among others, was dedicated to Barker in 1998.

The more modern studio in Glendale will be revealed this fall, where contestants will continue to "come on down" for many more seasons.

We move ahead with another finalist ready for a shot at those shoes and the cube and it's Julie Ann Barberi from NJ.

She looks nice but we got a segment in which naughty by nature can't mix with sugar, spice and everything nice. It's the Yay & Yawn of June.

 https://youtu.be/O9sqtRWwm_M

The Yay: Hey Yahoo! Finally a reason to see a show based on a search engine and on a network we call GSN.

The Yawn: The Wheel. Yes, it's based on a BBC hit show, but NBC thought it was a bore to let viewers watch something else.

It twas a sad day for Paramount Plus. That's because..............

Add Paramount+ to the list of streamers that have removed content from their platforms in exchange for a tax write-off.

The Paramount Global-backed streamer has canceled Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies after a single season, reversed its decision on a season-two pickup for the animated and kids-focused Star Trek: Prodigy, axed competition series Queen of the Universe after two seasons, and nixed a revival of The Game after two seasons. Additionally, all four shows will be removed from Paramount+ as the conglomerate joins Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery in taking tax write-offs for underperforming series.

The news comes as Paramount+ will incorporate Showtime into the platform in the U.S. on Tuesday.

"In the unified Paramount+ with Showtime plan, the Showtime portfolio of edgy, critically acclaimed programming will complement the broad and popular Paramount+ library in a seamless offering that appeals to everyone, enables more discovery between the brands and builds overall viewership," a Paramount+ spokesperson said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "As we prepare to combine Paramount+ and Showtime later this month in the U.S., we are refining our content offering to deliver the best streaming experience for subscribers. This is consistent with our content strategy since launch and across our business, which ensures we make smart, efficient choices, informed by audience data and insights. We are removing select programming as we look to optimize Showtime's robust slate of premium originals."

Other content is expected to be removed from the platform in the coming weeks, but nothing more high profile than the four series revealed Friday. The four series will begin to be removed from Paramount+ next week. The value of the tax write-off is expected to be revealed during an upcoming earnings call.

"The Paramount+ series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, Queen of the Universe and The Game have completed their runs on Paramount+ and will not be returning to the service," a Paramount+ spokesperson said in a statement. "We want to extend our thanks to our tremendously talented cast and crew and our producing partners for their passionate work and dedication on these programs, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors."

Luckily there's.............

Sure, you can hike Paramount Plus up by a buck, but Pluto TV can't hike prices up because it's free and it's more than 30 days, but they got plenty more new channels other than binge watching Yellowstone or something. So watch free, and tell Paramount Plus to cancel that subscription because of that price hike. Stick with Pluto TV, you'll never disappoint.

The Traitors Australia is the latest instalment in the hugely popular reality series, and it's heading to BBC Three and iPlayer in the summer.

Following on from the success of The Traitors UK and `The Traitors US, the latest version of the deceptive competition series will be set down under, giving Australians the chance to win a seriously impressive prize fund.

A synopsis for the upcoming series reveals: "A group of contestants arrive at a historic luxury hotel in the Southern Highlands as Faithful contestants – hoping to share a prize fund worth up to A$250,000. "Amongst them are the Traitors – a group of four contestants selected by host Rodger Corser on the first day, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithfuls and claim the prize for themselves."

Australian actor and TV personality Rodger Corser is hosting this edition of the series. He is known for his role as Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Owen in the crime mini-series Underbelly and Dr. Hugh Knight in Doctor Doctor.

Alan Carr, Daisy May Cooper and Stephen Mangan are to feature in new game show Password.

A UK version of the hit US series will come to ITV1 and ITVX. Comedian Alan Carr and actor and writer Daisy May Cooper will appear as team captains with Stephen Mangan hosting.

In each episode, Daisy and Alan will team up with a contestant and must try to guess mystery 'passwords' with help from one-word clues. A cash prize awaits the winner in the jackpot final.

Stephen Mangan said: "Password is a fantastic game show so it's an absolute pleasure to be the host. Although how I'm going to keep Daisy and Alan in line I don't know!"

Alan Carr added: "I can't wait to wipe the floor with Daisy, she'll be heading back to the West Country with her tail between her legs. If only her brain was as big as her mouth."

Daisy May Cooper commented: "I'm looking forward to knocking the glasses off Alan with my exceptional talent for this game. I know that…given both our training (Me – drama school, Alan – Tesco) that between us (meaning mostly me) we will be able to win people lots of cash (just to reiterate when I say 'we' I mean 'me')"

Password was originally created by Bob Stewart for Goodson-Todman Productions, and the format is now owned by Fremantle, which holds international production and distribution rights. The series originally launched on CBS in 1961 and ran for more than 1,500 episodes before moving to ABC in 1971. NBC revived the show in 1979 and 1984, and CBS also made a primetime series Million Dollar Password in 2008.

It was then revived again in the US, starring Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Keke Palmer, in 2022 with the refreshed series launching as the most-watched new unscripted series premier of the summer across US broadcast networks. The latest adaptations of the format will be next launching in Spain and Mexico.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV, said: "Password is a brilliantly fun format greatly complemented by a fabulous on-screen trio in Alan, Daisy and Stephen.

Netflix's July 2023 lineup gets a bit tastier with a brand new cutthroat cooking competition series set to arrive on the service in all regions except the United Kingdom.
