JEOPARDY!’s highly anticipated Masters tournament has hit an unexpected blip.

Yesterday's taping was canceled, according to multiple ticket holders- leaving four of 10 TV episodes filmed ahead of its May 8 premiere.

The primetime special is supposed to air over three weeks on ABC and Hulu starting on May 8, hosted by Ken Jennings, 48.

The lineup includes James Holzhauer, Amy SchneiderMatt AmodioSam ButtreyAndrew He, and Mattea Roach.

The six star contestants will compete in various pairings throughout a three-week competition in 10 one-hour episodes featuring two matches each.

The prize money for the champ of all champs is $500,000 and Jeopardy! billed the special its "biggest event ever" in its official trailer of game footage [seen above].

The U.S. Sun learned that a Reddit user flagged the abrupt cancellation on Sunday, one day before April 24's taping of its next batch of episodes.

They wrote: "Breaking news: Masters taping canceled (again)."

Jeopardy!'s ticketing company On-Camera Audiences: "sent an alert that Jeopardy Masters! taping tomorrow (4/25), originally scheduled for 3/15, got canceled again.

Love is also a 6-letter word

atalie Lee and Deepti Vempati, who both starred in Love Is Blind‘s second season, have come out in support of the reality show’s hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey, who have received backlash following the Season 4 finale and reunion.

Nick and Vanessa, who have hosted the Netflix dating show since it first premiered in 2020, were slammed for their hosting of the recent Season 4 reunion, with some fans accusing them of bias. Others criticized Vanessa’s invasive questions about when the couples would have children. This led to a Change.org petition calling for the Lacheys to be replaced — the form has over 40,000 signatures as of writing.

Speaking on their Out of the Pods podcast, Lee and Vempati defended Nick and Vanessa, referring to them as “mentors” and saying the backlash “feels like a dog pile.”

“Look, I know we’re biased because, of course, we know Vanessa and Nick. We really considered them as mom and dad during filming,” Lee said on Monday’s (April 24) edition of her podcast (per Us Weekly). “They played this role of mentors to us, providing advice as we were making our decision to say ‘I do’ or ‘I don’t’ on our wedding day.”

She added, “I also agree with the criticism, but I also think it’s unfair as well with how much backlash [Vanessa]’s getting. It feels like a dog pile.”

The pair admitted there were parts of the reunion they “disagreed with” but felt like the backlash had gone too far, particularly towards Vanessa.

“People are being almost overly critical, and she’s taking so much heat that I’m like, I don’t know that it’s deserved,” Lee continued. “It’s tough to watch because Nick and Vanessa are just really, really nice, great people.”

Vempati added that the Lacheys “really do care” about the contestants, even if some of their questions were mistimed or inappropriate.

“I don’t know if that was a miss from Vanessa’s part or if she was just trying to keep things along because they were going over time,” Lee said of Vanessa’s questions about contestants’ plans to have babies.

Drop Dead, Drag Racer!

Drag celebrities and former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Jujubee and Willam will star in Holly Stars’s Death Drop, which is set to begin previews at New World Stages on June 30 ahead of an official opening night on July 13. The news was announced through the production’s Instagram page.

Jesse Jones directs this “Drag-atha Christie murder mystery,” which features original music by Nicola Dempsey & Rose Dempsey.

An official description reads, “Set in 1991, a gaggle of guests gather on the mysterious Tuck Island for a dinner party like no other. The tension rises as the outrageous guests reveal their questionable pasts and hidden secrets. As the ferocious finger pointing and savage speculation begins, one by one they sashay away, until at the last, nerve-shredding, side-splitting moment we find out who-dunnit!”

Jujubee and Willam have previously appeared in the UK production of Death Drop, went on national tour, and spawned a sequel with nuns. Joining them in the off-Broadway run will be Shuga Cain, along with Holly Stars, Kiki Ball-Change, Peachez Iman Cummings, and Wang Newton.

Death Drop features scenic design by Justin Williams, costume design by Isobel Pellow, lighting design by Jack Weir, sound design by Beth Duke, and wig design by Florencia Melone.

Macca's employee tips

Aussie fans of Nine’s addictive afternoon game show Tipping Point will be pleased to know a local version is in production.

Well, sort of.

Discussions have been taking place for some time in executive ranks about the future of the show and possible replacements, most notably Tipping Point.

A local edition is seen as having the best chance of taking on The Chase with Larry Emdur at 5pm.

On Tuesday, Tipping Point was in the Top 20 most watched programs with 220,000 viewers.

That’s not bad for a 3pm game show!

While production is in the early stages, keep an eye on this one and let’s see where Nine put these Aussie specials.

My guess is it will be a stunt replacing Hot Seat for a couple of weeks, or a month, to test the waters.

If you know anyone in the UK who would like to take part, they can send an email to: apply@rdftelevision.com

We have a follow along on Soelle who showed the world her new EDM single. She did win the HRDRV award for it's company's choice award. Here's her acceptance speech.

Dictionaruim Arcadium

Ken Jennings is the King of Clap Backs. The host was quick to shade a Jeopardy! fan after they questioned the validity of one clue during Friday night’s (April 14) episode of the long-running quiz show.

In the episode, returning champion Ben Chan went up against Greg Czaja, a San Diego-based cardiologist for the U.S. Navy, and Kari Elsila, a grant strategy consultant from Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Under the category “Potent Potable Rhyme Time,” the trio had to guess two rhyming words, with one of them being an alcoholic beverage. The $200 clue, which read, “Rice wine for the guy who rides a racehorse,” was guessed correctly by Elsila, who responded, “What is: ‘Sake’ and ‘Jockey.'”

However, some viewers weren’t convinced that the Japanese beverage rhymed with jockey.

One wrote, “Dear @Jeopardy writers ‘Sake’ and ‘Jockey’ are not rhyming words,” before tagging Jennings in a follow-up post.

As a result, the host and record-holding former Jeopardy! contestant posted screenshots of the dictionary, where he proved that “sake” could, in fact, be pronounced as “saki.” Along with the photos, he snarked, “I am once again asking Americans to buy a dictionary.”

The duo continued to shade one another, with the fan replying, “Love when English changes foreign words, I guess,” to which Jennings remarked, “Yeah I’m always mad when people say the ‘s’ in Paris. Shameful.”
