Launched today, the Bravo's Top Chef x HEATONIST sauces were developed with guidance from Top Chef Season 12 winner, Mei Lin, and are packed with flavor so that fans can create winning dishes in their own kitchens.

"Fans of Bravo's Top Chef have always wanted to bring some of the show's magic into their own kitchens, and by teaming with hot sauce innovators HEATONIST and season 12 winner Mei Lin, we found the perfect partnership to spice up the palates of our dedicated viewers," said Shalina Mansharamani, Vice President, Brand Marketing, NBCUniversal. "This hot sauce collaboration raises the heat on what surely will be a great 20th season."

The Bravo's Top Chef x HEATONIST hot sauces are available in the following three bold flavors:

· Herbs Hot Sauce (5 fl. oz.) - a vibrant mix of green herbs, including parsley, cilantro and rosemary, blended with citrus and mild jalapeño to brighten any meal. Best used as a dressing, marinade or condiment.

· Peppercorn Hot Sauce (5 fl. oz.) - a floral blend of peppercorns, zingy ginger and fruity habanero for just-right heat. Add to sauces, marinades and even cocktails.

· Garlic Hot Sauce (5 fl. oz.) - an umami bomb of savory garlic and jalapeño peppers that finishes with seductive, slow-building heat from ghost pepper. Use as a sandwich spread, marinade or condiment.

"Top Chef has been one of the most respected shows on TV since it first premiered, so we couldn't have been more excited when NBCUniversal approached HEATONIST about a hot sauce collaboration for the show's 20th season," said Noah Chaimberg, CEO and Founder of HEATONIST. One A short of SHeldon Cooper hosting

TV game show, Bzinga which was earlier supposed to be hosted by Kavin Dave and Sunita Rajwar will now be hosted by singer-turned-actor and anchor, Aditya Narayan. He has already shot for the first episode.

TV game show, Bzinga which gives families a chance to come together, play exciting games, and win amazing prizes had earlier roped in actors Kavin Dave and seasoned actress Sunita Rajwar as the hosts of the show. However, there is a change in the plan. The latest we hear is that Kavin and Sunita have been replaced and a popular singer and anchor will be taking over the role of the host of Bzinga

For the uninitiated, Bzinga has been very popular in its Malayalam format where people have taken home very expensive products at the lowest market prices. As low as cars at Rs.2, microwaves at Rs.3.5, to exciting products like iPhones Rs.5, Macbooks for Rs.8 etc. The game show has given them a chance to win it all.

From what we hear the Hindi format of Bzinga will have Influencers play the game too. It is their chance to win very high-value products like cars, electronic appliances, and exciting gadgets over multiple rounds. We have also heard that the grand prize of the first episode will be a swanky new car.

BZZZ! Time's Up!

What event took place on TikTok last week and got mixed reviews from users?

The answer: TikTok Trivia.

The five-day trivia marathon, which was heavily promoted by a widget on users' For You pages, wrapped up Sunday. The game, which was presented by Lionsgate and "John Wick: Chapter 4," gave users the chance to answer a series of questions and win prize money from a $500,000 fund. It was open to anyone 18 years or older in the U.S.

Although some online said they enjoyed the dayslong event, others complained that the host rambled for too long. Some expressed disappointment at the prize money.

“It was the worst thing ever. TikTok, never do it again,” a TikTok user said in a video.

Many users’ videos also complained about the For You page widget advertising the event.

TikTok did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the complaints. A spokesperson for Lionsgate did not immediately provide comment.

TikTok’s trivia push appeared to be an attempt to revitalize the phenomenon that was HQ Trivia. The live smartphone trivia game show became a cultural phenomenon in 2017, with people invested in it and its host, Scott Rogowsky, who became a sensation for his comedic delivery and quirky energy.

TikTok tapped the social media personality James Henry to host its trivia. Henry, who his known for his comedy videos, has 4.2 million followers on the platform.

But Henry’s delivery became a subject of discussion on the app and on other social media platforms.

“I tried TikTok trivia... Didn’t win anything but was held prisoner while being forced to learn the host’s ENTIRE life story including anecdotes about twister and his favorite periodic element,” a user tweeted.

Another wrote, "tiktok trivia is fun but this man is no scott ragowski :’("

Representatives for Henry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Nick Gallo, who led the creative team at HQ Trivia, called TikTok's attempt at trivia a "disaster."

In a series of tweets analyzing the game, Gallo rooted his criticism in the idea that a host needs to be more than a social media personality with lots of followers.

"The show took 9 minutes to ask the first question — nearly double the amount of time we would allot for HQ to get started," he wrote.

Ultimately, Gallo said, he felt "the content fell flat — the host kept speaking in circles about instructions, rules and power-ups."

Others who tried their hands at trivia seemed less enthusiastic about the prize money.

While the total prize pool was $500,000, some expressed disappointed when it actually came time to divide the pot. Winners in one round — 5,289 of them — took home $5.62 apiece after winnings were divided.

Some players said they encountered an incorrect answer in another round. For a question about the second-largest city in South Africa, the trivia app claimed the correct answer was Durban. However, the correct answer is Cape Town. (Cape Town is larger than Durban in both landmass and population.)

"Yeah, that TikTok Trivia crap is a scam," a user said in a video.

In an email sent to NBC News on Tuesday, a spokesperson for TikTok clarified it used website Statista for its answer to that question, citing the website's reasoning for Durban being the second largest city.

"In 2022, the largest city in South Africa was Cape Town. The capital of Western Cape counted 3.4 million inhabitants, whereas South Africa’s second largest city was Durban (eThekwini Municipality), with 3.1 million inhabitants. Note that when observing the number of inhabitants by municipality, Johannesburg is counted as largest city/municipality of South Africa," Statista reads.

The spokesperson did not comment on the online response to the game.

I wanna take you back to 2003 where The Barker Era was still untouched and these 2 shows hit the Alphabet network.

In the span of six days in the winter of 2003, ABC premiered two shows that were seen as the absolute nadir of the still-burgeoning genre known as "reality television." Are You Hot? bowed on February 13, followed by the first American season of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here on February 19. Both shows played into some of the popular assessments of reality TV — shallow, silly series that preyed upon the worst rubbernecking instincts of the audience. Both shows were just as superficial as their titles suggested. Neither one would be on the air a year later:Are You Hot lasted a mere six episodes, while I'm a Celebrity died on the vine, only to be resurrected on NBC in 2009 to similarly unenthusiastic response. At the end of 2003, both shows would be cited among the dregs of that year’s programming.

  • It's been 20 years since Are You Hot? and I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here premiered, and while TV critics then and now would prefer to consign them to the dustbin of TV history, a look around the vast landscape of reality TV in 2023 reveals that these shows were surprisingly prescient about where certain corners of the reality genre would be headed decades down the line.

Caveats about The Real World and An American Family aside, if we accept the U.S. premiere of Survivor in the summer of 2000 as the beginning of reality TV, then the genre was still in its infancy when Are You Hot? and I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here debuted. Today, the reality genre is vast enough that it has its own strata of quality, from top-shelf award winners like Top ChefSurvivor and The Amazing Race, to the self-contained Bravo universe of Real Housewives and below-deck sailors. But back then, all reality shows were tossed into the same bucket and subject to scorn from the people who both made and enjoyed scripted television.
