Jeopardy! is gearing up for a strong Season 39 lineup this fall and the team behind the fan-favorite game show has big plans in the works, including a special episode to mark the second anniversary of Alex Trebek's death.
In the latest Inside Jeopardy! podcast, executive producer Michael Davies and producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss offer a peek into what's on the horizon. The pair reveal that filming is well under way for Season 39, and Davies and Whitcomb Foss teased that 25 episodes are already in the can. 'It's a very exciting period coming up,' declares Davies.
Davies and Whitcomb Foss promise that the installment will pay tribute to the beloved figure. "Overall we owe him a fantastic episode of Jeopardy on that day," says Davies. "It may well break the internet. I don't want to give too much away."

Italian broadcaster Boing, a joint venture between RTI Mediaset and Warner Bros. Discovery, has ordered a kids version of the live-action game show Wild Things.
Produced by Banijay, Wild Things – Kids Edition is an adaptation of Wild Things, which was inspired by the classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are. The format sees four teams compete in various challenges in the forest, often wearing bulky and vision-impairing animal costumes.
The Kids Edition of Wild Things will see kids between 8 and 12 years old participating alongside their costumed adult team members.
The original show was created by Glasgow-based IWC Media, part of Banijay, Mad Monk and GroupM Entertainment. It premiered in 2015 on Sky, and lasted for three seasons (26 episodes in total). The format has been adapted in eight territories, including Sweden, Argentina and China, but this is the first time it is being adapted for family competitors and audiences.

Food Network star and longtime Sonoma County resident Guy Fieri is adding another television show to his repertoire of on-air endeavors, debuting Wednesday on Food Network and Discovery Plus.
"Guy's Ultimate Game Night," filmed in front of a live audience, features Fieri's celebrity friends participating in culinary-inspired contests and party games for the chance to win prizes for their favorite charity.
"It's the best dinner party you've ever been to ... filled with food, booze, off-the-hook games and the funkiest live soundtrack around," Fieri said in a news release from Food Network.
In each episode, three celebrity teams compete in five rounds of classic party games with foodie twists such as Cooktionary, in which the guests have to guess the food item Fieri draws. Other games will require guests to blindly decorate cakes, make a pizza that looks like Fieri and play a quite literal game of Hot Potato.
Chef Antonia Lofaso ("Top Chef," "Chopped") co-hosts the show with Fieri and the first episode features actor Bobby Moynihan, comedian Ron Funches and rock star Bret Michaels. Future guests include Alyssa Milano, Kevin Smith, Penn and Teller and Vivica A. Fox.

Katherine Ryan is piloting a new TV comedy game show.
Few details are known about Make It Hard, but the programme will feature 'four of the funniest guests in the country' and a celebrity co-host alongside Ryan. Otherwise, producers say it will feature 'daft questions, obscure facts and laughs aplenty'.
A pilot episode is to be recorded at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, West London, on Monday, but it is not yet known which broadcaster – if any – might be interested in the format.
Ryan has appeared on countless game shows and panel shows as a guest or team captain, including 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Would I Lie to You? and QI – and she previously co-hosted Your Face or Mine? with Jimmy Carr.
Free audience tickets for Make It Hard are available from Standing Room Only. As well as the main evening recording, some additional rounds will be taped with a smaller audience in the afternoon.

Dancing With the Stars will be down one dancer this season, as Lindsay Arnold has announced she will not be returning to the Mirrorball this season.
On her official Facebook on August 31, the 10-year veteran of the reality show shocked fans with news of her departure.
She writes: "I wanted to let you all know that I have decided not to be a part of Dancing With the Stars this season. This has been one of the hardest decisions to make but ultimately I have chosen what I feel is best for myself and my family. DWTS has been a part of my life for over 10 years now and when I say I love the show with all of my heart I mean it!! This show has changed my life forever and will always mean the world to me."
