Jeopardy! National College Championship is a multiconsecutive-night event that features 36 students from 36 colleges and universities from across the country, battling head-to-head for nine days of intense competition. This year's contest will be returning Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik.

"I love my Jeopardy! work all the time, but these days with these college students, this is our Jeopardy! version of March Madness," said Bialik. "With these 36 students, I was just a fun energy."

"This tournament, there's representation from public schools, private schools, historically Black colleges, small schools big schools," said Bialik. "It really is a beautiful representation of really exceptional young people."

"Then number one prize is $250,000, second is $100,000 and third is $50,000. Those are incredibly significant amounts of money, but honestly these are the kind of young people who are literally competing for the glory of winning academically and intellectually. And that's also really fun."

CBS today announced the new reality series BEYOND THE EDGE, which features nine celebrities trading their worlds of luxury to live in the dangerous jungles of Panama, where they face off in epic adventures and endure the most brutal conditions, as they push themselves to go far beyond their comfort zone. From the producers of "Naked and Afraid" comes the most intense celebrity adventure ever attempted, where only teamwork, perseverance and finding the inner strength they never knew they possessed can get them through another day and raise money for their chosen charities. BEYOND THE EDGE will premiere Wednesday, March 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*. SHOWTIME Sports announcer Mauro Ranallo hosts.

The nine celebrities who will brave the Panama jungle in BEYOND THE EDGE are country superstar Lauren Alaina, Super Bowl MVP Ray Lewis, country superstar Craig Morgan, NBA champion Metta World Peace, supermodel Paulina Porizkova, NFL legend Mike Singletary, actress Jodie Sweetin ("Full House," "Fuller House") and television personalities Colton Underwood ("The Bachelor") and Eboni K. Williams ("The Real Housewives of New York City").

For two weeks, the celebrities will see if they have the grit to withstand torrential downpours, scorching heat and deadly wildlife while living in the exotic Panama jungle. There won't be any judges or eliminations - instead, each celebrity must rely on their inner fortitude, physical ability, and courage, and have faith in their teammates to endure in the wild. For each day they last, and every grueling adventure challenge they win with their team, the celebrities will raise more money for their charities. If a player reaches their breaking point, they can ring a bell to signal that they are ready to go home. At the end of the 14 days, the top two earners will go head to head in one final adventure, to see who can become the BEYOND THE EDGE champion and take home the most money for their charity.

"BEYOND THE EDGE is the most extreme celebrity format ever attempted," said executive producer Greg Goldman. "The day before we started principal photography, all of the producers looked at each other with the sinking feeling that this celebrity cast might see where they were living for up to two weeks - the harsh jungles of Panama - and just bolt. To the contrary, we were amazed by how these icons pushed themselves to their breaking points, showing incredible mental fortitude and physical tenacity. And all for an incredible cause: to raise money for charities that are near and dear to their hearts." Below, meet the celebrities brave enough to go BEYOND THE EDGE:

- Lauren Alaina Country superstar Charity: The Next Door
- Ray Lewis Super Bowl MVP Charity: Johns Hopkins Children's Center
- Craig Morgan Country superstar Charity: Operation Finally Home
- Metta World Peace NBA champion Charity: The Artest University
- Paulina Porizkova Supermodel Charity: ACLU Foundation
- Mike Singletary NFL legend Charity: Changing Our Perspective
- Jodie Sweetin Actress Charity: Girls Inc.
- Colton Underwood Television personality Charity: Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation
- Eboni K. Williams Television personality Charity: Safe Horizons

BEYOND THE EDGE is hosted by SHOWTIME Sports announcer Mauro Ranallo, who made history as the first sports broadcaster ever to call every major combat sport on national television: boxing, kickboxing, MMA and professional wrestling. Ranallo currently announces SHOWTIME boxing and Bellator MMA matches.

David Garfinkle, Jay Renfroe, Jay Bienstock and Greg Goldman serve as executive producers on BEYOND THE EDGE for Buster Productions in association with Renegade, an eOne company.

Food Network's hit freshman series, Alex vs America, received a season two pick-up just ahead of the network's TCA panel featuring acclaimed chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Alex is an Iron Chef and Food Network staple, entertaining millions of viewers each week as a judge on Chopped, co-host of The Kitchen, and leading the fun on Supermarket Stakeout. On Alex vs America, Alex shares her competitive side as one of the most accomplished chefs in any culinary arena, as she takes on three brave chefs per episode. Heading into the finale, Alex vs America has been seen by nearly 6M P2+ viewers. On average, the series has ranked as the #2 cable program among P25-54 and W25-54 within its Sunday 10pm timeslot, a +78% increase vs the prior six-weeks, and +28% vs Food Network's 2021 freshman premiere average.

"Alex vs America has become must-see programming for Food Network viewers, featuring Alex's full arsenal of talent on display with her sharp wit, raw authenticity, and culinary competitiveness. We are thrilled to have Alex step back into the arena for a new season, and with new episodes of Supermarket Stakeout, Chopped and The Kitchen, audiences are reminded why Alex is one of the most revered chefs today," said Courtney White, President, Food Network and Streaming Food Content, Discovery Inc.

Hosted by renowned chef Eric Adjepong, each episode of Alex vs America features three culinary superstars competing over two rounds against Alex and each other. The competitors hail from different states, but they all share the same mastery of a specific ingredient or dish, one that they have spent endless hours in their own kitchens perfecting and which will be tested in an effort to take down Alex. At the start of each battle, Alex and the competitors learn their challenge, with the chefs having the ability to work together in selecting variables for their dishes as well as the amount of time they give themselves and Alex to cook with. Each finished plate will undergo a blind tasting, with only the top three chefs advancing and the least successful from the challenge being immediately sent home - even if it is Alex! In the end, it all comes down to what's on the plate. Will the final two chefs outcook Alex, earning bragging rights and a cash prize? All episodes of Alex vs America are available to stream on discovery+.

"I knew that I had a real passion for competitive cooking when we first started talking about this show, and this experience has turned that passion into a full-on obsession," said Guarnaschelli. "Getting to work with the charismatic and supremely talented Eric Adjepong is icing on a nearly perfect cake, nearly perfect because as I have said before, I really love winning and absolutely hate losing even more."

Fans of Alex can also catch new episodes of her Food Network primetime series Supermarket Stakeout returning this spring with fresh and fast-paced outdoor cooking battles

If you love regency-style shows — and especially romances — you’re going to love the month of March.

Not only is Bridgerton Season 2 dropping on Netflix on Friday, March 25, but a new dating series is also coming to NBC. The Courtship (formerly known as Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance and set to stream on Peacock) will premiere on Sunday, March 6, at 8/7c. It will be available the next day on NBCUniversal’s streaming service.

In the end, our heroine and her suitors will discover if the ultimate romantic experience will find them true love.”

This new dating show is an original format developed and produced by Endemol Shine North America. Executive producers include Anthony Dominici, Sharon Levy, DJ Nurre, Michael Heyerman, Susy Price, and Andy Cadman..

ANd now we go to a Mistplay Game Break. For the 2nd week in a row, we get to fix the mistake.

It's not a janitor but you'll get to hear Jenne vermes in the Spotify Spotlight while you think about it.

Maybe there could be a sing about a State ID since I have one. But the mistake that needs fixing isn't someone holding Shout Spray and Wash. It's actually Lady Macbeth from Macbeth. See there?

All this month, we are finding out what the UK meant to us. For instance, one thing that stood out in our minds was Richard Osman. In addition to hosting Pointless and his House of games, he did this.

For 2 seasons, this show didn't involve Survivor which obviously involves merging, but involves a bit of To Tell The Truth and your gold old lightning round quiz.  All players have statements attached to them, and they are either on a yes tribe or a no tribe. The winning tribe's player remaing will play for the jackpot. It's like Figure it Out went on vacation with Jeff Probst, but still........................it's what the UK meant to us. What about you?
