Me:Welcome everybody to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Let's kick it off with......

The  Talking Through The Medias opening toss up story.

Congratulations are in order for history-making Jeopardy contestant Amy Schneider, from one high-earning woman to another.

On Christmas Eve, Schneider buzzed her way to victory yet again, bringing her total earnings to $706,800 and and catapulting her past writer and academic Larissa Kelly, who took to Twitter to praise Schneider for her victory.

"Well, it was fun to hold a Jeopardy record for a few years... but it's been even more fun to watch @Jeopardamy set new standards for excellence, on the show and off," Kelly wrote on Friday after Schenider clinched yet another victory. "Congratulations to Amy on becoming the woman with the highest overall earnings in the show's history!"

Kelly held the previous record of the highest-earning woman contestant on Jeopardy with a total of $655,930, which she achieved through regular season plays and tournament appearances.

Leading up to the holidays, Schneider continued her reign as champion, earning the fourth-highest winnings in regular-season play following Matt Amodio ($1,518,601), James Holzhauer ($2,462,216), and Ken Jennings ($2,520,700).

During Monday night's show, Schneider buzzed her way to her 19th consecutive victory, bringing her total earnings to $745,200. If she continues her domination through the New Year, it means she'll hit a 21-game winning streak and join Amodio, Holzhauer, and Jennings in the top four rankings.

Fox First Run has renewed four original programs, You Bet Your Life with Jay Leno, 25 Words or Less, Dish Nation and Divorce Court, announced Stephen Brown. These programs will continue to run on the Fox-owned stations through the 2022-2023 season.

In making the announcement, Stephen Brown, EVP of programming for Fox Television Stations, said: “Fox First Run’s main priority is to focus always on our audience first, by allowing them to appear, contribute, play and win. All of our programming both, present and ones in development, have two key elements — extensive interactivity and pure entertainment.”

Hosted by Jay Leno, You Bet Your Life debuted in September 2021 with the show’s trademark humorous interviews and unpredictable banter with each contestant, famously originated by Groucho Marx. Tonight Show band leader, Kevin Eubanks, shares hosting duties. FTS said the program is the youngest syndicated game show with the highest concentration of key demos among all game shows.

Currently, You Bet Your Life is cleared in all of the top 100 markets, as well as in Canada. Eighty percent of the 190 cleared markets have double runs and the program is primarily running in key early fringe and access time periods between 5 and 8 p.m. Tom Werner is executive producer, along with showrunner and executive producer, David Hurwitz.

Hosted and executive produced by Meredith Vieira, 25 Words or Less debuted as a preview show on the Fox Television Stations in August 2018, before going into syndication in fall 2019. The half-hour game show is cleared nationally in 98% of the country and is a collaboration of executive producers Lisa Kudrow, Dan Bucatinsky, Mary McCormack, Michael Morris, showrunner Michael Canter and Bruce Sterten. The show is produced by Dino Bones Productions and distributed by Fox First Run.

oogle’s Youtube TV announced Sunday that Disney-owned programming will return to the platform after some negotiations.

“We’re happy to share that we’ve reached an agreement with Disney to return their content to YouTube TV while preserving a $64.99/mo. price for our members. We have already started to restore access to Disney networks like ESPN and FX, including their live and on-demand content, as well as any recordings that were previously in your Library. We will also be turning on the local ABC stations over the course of the day,” said a statement from YouTube.

The restoration comes after Disney-owned channels, including ABC and ESPN, were yanked from YouTube TV Friday night.

Disney and Google were unable to reach a new carriage agreement, which YouTube addressed in a statement Friday: “We’ve held good faith negotiations with Disney for several months. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to reach an equitable agreement before our existing one expired, and their channels are no longer available on YouTube TV. We will be decreasing our monthly price by $15, from $64.99 to $49.99 while this content remains off of our platform.”

In Sunday’s announcement, YouTube added that the $15 discount is still in play, though it will be “a one-time credit for all impacted members.”

YouTube TV says it has around 4 million subscribers, similar to Hulu’s Live TV service. Both of those are far behind the major distributors like Comcast, AT&T and Spectrum, which have between 15 and 20 million paying customers.

EastEnders has launched a new online gameshow, Albert Squared, hosted by Walford star James Bye, with his co-stars as the contestants.

The weekly show on YouTube and the EastEnders Facebook page is billed as "an exciting mix of E20 trivia, hilarious games and a whole lot of laughs".

"In the first episode viewers will see Natalie Cassidy (Sonia) take up the role of captain for the Walford Warriors, alongside her co-stars Brian Conley (Rocky) and Gurlaine Kaur Garcha (Ash)," says the BBC.

"The East End Defenders are headed up by Tameka Empson (Kim), with Max Bowden (Ben) and Lacey Turner (Stacey) as her competitive teammates."

"I really enjoyed it," said host Bye, who plays Martin on the BBC soap. "I've never done anything like this before."

"We were told to have fun, have a laugh and show viewers what our relationships are like off-camera and that's exactly what we did," he added.

"There are ten episodes of us just having a giggle. It really lifted everyone's spirits when we needed it with all the news around at the moment just before Christmas and I hope that comes across on screen."

The upcoming 20th season of American Idol will be without Bobby Bones. Bones confirmed Friday on Instagram Stories that he’ll be ending his run on the ABC singing competition series after four seasons.

In a since-expired post, Bones revealed that because of conflict with another show, he won’t be on Idol this season.

“Some of you noticed I’m not in the Idol promos this season,” he wrote. “My contract [with] my new network won’t let me do another show right now. Love Idol, btw. Was a great 4 years.”

Bones has been with the ABC revival since Season 16, serving as a guest mentor for contestants. He became a full-time mentor the following season.

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the Game Show Network Facebook page anything and everything.

https://youtu.be/uxhY1Yg-9sU

Patrick James Hoyack will begin.

Hi Game Show Network, Is there going to be another season 2 of Tug of Words with Ahmad Rashad? I would definitely love to meet Ahmad though.

I don't know. Maybe GSN will decide if it is or not. Moving on, we got Benny Taylor.

I'm going to miss hearing about her now. What a way to end the year, hearing about this. I know BUZZR and Game Show Network will definitely do a tribute to her soon.
R I P, to the legendary Golden girl herself, who was so close to hot a full century next month.
I'll be watching marathon of Match Game this weekend.

Yep and we'll tell you about her marathons in a moment. Next, Candace Fish.

Why do they always put on America Says on the holidays instead of Deal or no Deal? That stinks! Anerica Says has far too much air time. Bet it's the same for Match Game and Catch 21! That stinks!

It's because they don't want to air Pyramid anymore on New year's Day. GSN used to do that back then. They need it back........RIGHT NOW!!!!! Going ahead, we got Oren Spengler.

I used to love watching "Black and White Sunday nights". I wish it would return. Some of us have had our fill of Family Feud!

Yep, me too. i'd miss it. Next, Mark Burford.

I just added Game Show network to my lineup. One comment about People Puzzler. Lea Remini..... I miss the "Brooklyn" that was in her character. And she has such natural beauty.... just looks to made up. Was the "brooklyn" thing all just an act in her previous show? Or are the producers of the show not allowing her to be herself? I believe with her true personality showing through it will put some much needed energy into such a slow moving game.

I think it was her role on "The King Of Queens" and her life living in her NYC made her a star all her life and she brings more pizazz into what a real crossword game show is. Let's get Barbara Reynolds in here now.

Can someone please tell. Rashad to stop robbing the contestants? He always wastes 2 to 3 seconds of their time before he reads the next clue. I love this show but that needs to be fixed PDQ.

There should be a 5-second rule to be added when he would finish up a clue. That might've worked. Next, Judy Westenberger.

Why do you keep splitting whole words into two on Chain Reaction? Not really fair.

Just to keep things on the 6th grade english side. It's just a show that's been on the network since the 2000s. Last to go is Shamus McBundy.

Just saw Tug of Words. Great show but horrible host. Brooke Burns would make a perfect host for this show. Ahmad Rashad's voice is so monotone and slow.

Or Tony Romo. If he's busy from NFL stuff on CBS.

On the last day of 2021, we lost a game show queen. The great Betty White dead at 99. If she was alive today, she would've turned 100 which Bob Hope actually did years ago. How did GSN and Buzzr do it? by doing these............................................

Saturday, January 8th, at 10:30 am EST we'll begin our celebration of Betty White. We'll be showing episodes of #MatchGame and #MatchGamePM all day in memory. Red heart #BettyWhite #BUZZR

Join us Saturday Jan 8 from 9a - 5p as we honor the golden girl of game shows and America's sweetheart with a Match Game Marathon featuring Betty White.

She was connected to Allen Ludden and her friends who worked in game shows a long time. Although she only hosted one game show in 1983, the same year Plinko debuted to Price, she was a fixture to sitcoms as well. Let's pay tribute to her in the Game Show Live!....................

She will be missed.

That's it for this week, today's consolation prize is Antonio Brown's Uniform. When you decide you want to play for the Jaguars  instead of the Bucs next year, Act like a stripper at a nightclub and throw it to some fans for a souvenir so that you can take a taxi back to your hotel and catch a flight back home while your team may be back in the Super Bowl. Unless the Rams, Chiefs or Cowboys want to take you down. Big time.

Don't forget to email me at kellypierre8@gmail.comcoppockonsports@yahoo.com, Pierre  Kelly on FB and @Johnny_Arcade on twitter. Also I'm on Snapchat as MisterGSN and Instagram as MrJackbox. We will return next Wednesday, and until we return, Play on playas.
