Colbi King: From coast to coast and around the world, welcome to....

Now, America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!

Me:Welcome everybody to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Let's kick it off with......

The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

Mayim Bialik will begin her job as host of “Jeopardy!” primetime specials in the new year with the premiere of “Jeopardy! National College Championship” on ABC, the broadcast network said Thursday.

“Jeopardy! National College Championship” is a “multiconsecutive-night event that features 36 students from 36 colleges and universities from across the country, battling head-to-head for nine days of intense competition,” per its official description.

Executive produced by Michael Davies and produced by “Jeopardy!” studio Sony Pictures Television, the event will kick off Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 8/7c on ABC.
- TUESDAY, FEB. 8 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)
- WEDNESDAY, FEB. 9 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)
- THURSDAY, FEB. 10 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)
- FRIDAY, FEB. 11 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EST)
- TUESDAY, FEB. 15 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)
- WEDNESDAY, FEB. 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)
- THURSDAY, FEB. 17 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)
- FRIDAY, FEB. 18 (8:00-9:01 p.m. EST)
- TUESDAY, FEB. 22 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST)

Bialik has recently been splitting temporary hosting duties on “Jeopardy!” with Ken Jennings while the game show searches for a full-time replacement for the late Alex Trebek, following the quick ousting of Mike Richards — the syndicated series’ first choice after a rotating stable of guest hosts (including Bialik and Jennings) tried out for the role.

The “Jeopardy! National College Championship” tournament marks Bialik’s first turn at the job she was initially hired to do in August, which is permanent host of “Jeopardy!” specials and spinoffs. Bialik was given that position at the same time as Richards was named the new permanent host of the OG “Jeopardy!,” but he exited just over a week later, one day after the show returned to production for its 38th season.

His departure followed the resurfacing of a gender discrimination lawsuit from his time with “The Price is Right” and multiple misogynistic comments he made on a podcast he co-hosted in the last decade.

In other premiere dates news, ABC said Thursday that the fifth season of “American Idol” will debut Sunday, Feb. 27 at 8/7c.

And now for a public service message.

Championship Wrestling from Memphis will have the first ever awards banquet by invitaion only or whatever it is this Friday at the Wrestlecenter. In fact, it's the first UWN awards banquet in the southern region. The votes are tabulated and you'll see who won and who lost this Friday. Here's my prognostication on this.

https://youtu.be/5_jd5woKVtE

I'm pretty sure Alan Steel has some experience in ths sport since the late nineties but I believe it's Brett Michaels that take the gold in this one because his success story this past year made him the man of 2021 in indie wrestling today.

If Rebel Kel were in the picture, it would be considered a landslide win, but I have to pick The Killer Bae. Why? She has actually done UWN's flagship show out of Hollywood and has also doen Atlanta. I think she's the face the the UWN women's division as a whole.

3 of these teams bring out the fun and the homegrown talent they have in it given the Posse has more experience than the other 2, but the Yung Goats are my pick. They represent a youthful exhuberance and is much like The Rockers in the WWE or the Steiner Brothers.

Before you make up your mind, that match is this Saturday locally on CW 20 WLMT in Memphis and else where on Youtube, but I definitely have to t go with the match that gave Brett Michaels his very first Memphis heritage championship. Why? This was the one that finally ended the Gunshow/Alan Streel rivalry once and for all. You hear that, WWE and AEW?

I was gonna go with the Gunshow winning the title, but because it had so many Youtube views and gave everyone watching WWE the bird, It has to be Archer/Gunshow. No doubt. And finally.................

My pick: Big Swole Justin Cole. he came from another local wrestling organization to come join the UWN and boy, he did fit right in there.

So there you have it. If you miss it, it'll be you and only you kicking yourself. The only way to get there is this:

I may or may not see you there, but I will. It's what the WWE Slammy Awards can't do and CWFM will deliver this Friday. Don't miss out if you're in the M-Town.

Punk’d and Dishmantled were two of the unscripted Quibi originals that were renewed for a second season while the short-form service still existed. Roku, which took ownership of Quibi’s programming slate, has now set premiere dates for their return.

Dishmantled, which is hosted by Tituss Burgess, was renewed for a second season in May 2020 and comes from Linda Lea, the creator and executive producer of Chopped. The cooking competition series sees a cannon-blasting of a mystery food dish into the faces of two blindfolded chefs. Its second season premieres on Friday December 31.

Linda Lea, executive producer of Dishmantled, added, “Dishmantled is back and we’re serving up a big plate of competition only on The Roku Channel. This new season is full of energy, fun and will quite literally blow audiences away.”

It's Mistplay Game Break time. Trivia question for you all:

In what year did The Salvation Army started doing Christmas kettles?

Don't burn yourself after a Pandora song break from The Puppini Sisters ringing in the holiday with this.

And here's the A.N.S.W.E.R. I won't bother telling you what the acronyms are.

A tradition on the "kettle" started in 1891, in San Francisco, by Salvation Army officer Captain Joseph McFee.[1] Captain McFee, resolving to provide a free Christmas dinner to the poor of San Francisco, remembered a sight he saw in Liverpool, England. From his days as a sailor McFee remembered a large pot displayed on the Stage Landing, called "Simpson's Pot." The pot took in donations put in by passersby. Taking this idea, McFee asked for permission from San Francisco city authorities to place a crab pot and tripod at the Oakland ferry landing. The kettle - and McFee's call of "Keep the Pot Boiling!" - drew in passengers and donations.[2]

The idea spread, and is in use by many Salvation Army charities worldwide. Innovations from the crab pot have included self ringing kettles, booths that play Christmas music, and Credit Card capabilities.[1]
