Now, America's favorite contestant, Pierre Kelly!

Me:Welcome everybody to Game Show Live! where we get lit and get involved. Let's kick it off with......

The Double Toasted opening toss up story.

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about the fiasco happening with NBC's new summer hit, Ultimate Slip and Slide, but today, it was taken out like an extraction. Here's the follow along on it.

The games will not continue on NBC after the Summer Olympics: The network has pulled the new reality competition Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide from its post-Olympics premiere date, weeks after a diarrhea outbreak shut down production.

Deadline reports that the series has been removed from NBC’s summer schedule for now and “there are no plans for a new premiere date at this point,” with production remaining on hold.

Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide, which would see players competing in a series of mini games while atop a giant version of the classic kids’ water slide, was set to premiere Sunday, Aug. 8 at 10:30 pm ET on NBC, immediately following the Closing Ceremonies of the Summer Olympics. The two-part premiere would then continue on Monday, Aug. 9 at 8/7c. Bobby Moynihan (SNL, Mr. Mayor) and Ron Funches (Undateable, black-ish) were slated to host.

There was one week of scheduled production left when filming was halted on June 2 after it was learned that a crew member had tested positive for giardia. Additional testing results received on June 10 revealed giardia in the surrounding area, and the studio announced that they would not be shooting the series at the current site moving forward.

“The health and safety of everyone on our set is our number one priority, so out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to stop production of Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide at the current location,” producers Universal Television Alternative Studios said in a statement. “We are in the process of determining next steps in order to complete production.”

Big Brother‘s latest season hasn’t even begun, but the twists are already underway.

Professional dancer Christie Valdiserri, who was announced as a Season 23 houseguest earlier this month, has exited the series just days before its return after she tested positive for the coronavirus.

“I have no idea how I got it,” Valdiserri shared in a video message on Monday. “I have the vaccine, and I’ve been following all the guidelines up to this point. I have absolutely no symptoms, I feel perfectly fine. So I’m really grateful for that, but it’s really frustrating because I won’t be playing on Big Brother this summer.”

She also addressed her struggle with alopecia, a condition that can cause complete hair loss on the scalp and body, and the feedback she’s seen online since her casting was announced.

“I have put myself out there and shared this vulnerability of being bald, and all the comments, good or bad, are affecting everybody else that also is bald and experiences this vulnerability, so spread love,” she continued. “Whether you’re just finding out about alopecia, or you know what alopecia is, you know that we’re unstoppable, and I’m going to bounce back in one way or another.”

Valdiserri will be replaced by Claire Rehfuss (pictured above, right), a 25-year-old artificial intelligence engineer who hails from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Per Rehfuss’ official Big Brother bio, her strategy will rely on “my intelligence, drive and adaptability,” and she plans to “try to get out the strong alpha dudes early.” Big Brother returns for Season 23 on Wednesday, July 7, with a live, 90-minute premiere at 8/7c. The show will then air on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning July 11 at 8 pm, featuring the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen Moonves.

The following 16 new Houseguests will spend the summer competing for $500,000:
- Azah Awasum (30; Baltimore; director of sales operations)
- Christian Birkenberger (23; Harwinton, CT; general contractor)
- Hannah Chaddha (21; Chicago; graduate student)
- Brent Champagne (28; Cranston, RI; flight attendant)
- Britni D'Angelo (24; Niagara Falls, NY; kindergarten teacher)
- Derek Frazier (29; Philadelphia; safety officer)
- Brandon "Frenchie" French (34; Camden, TN; farmer)
- Travis Long (22; orig. Austin; tech sales)
- Alyssa Lopez (24; Sarasota, FL; swimwear designer)
- Tiffany Mitchell (40; Detroit; phlebotomist)
- Xavier Prather (27; Kalamazoo, MI; attorney)
- Claire Rehfuss (25; orig. Chagrin Falls, OH; AI specialist)
- Sarah Steagall (29; Boiling Springs, SC; forensic scientist)
- Whitney Williams (30; Portland, OR; makeup artist)
- Derek Xiao (24; orig. Baltimore; start-up founder)
- Kyland Young (29; San Bernardino, CA; account executive)

Now a segment loved by many pets and their pet owners alike..............

Buzz-GSN where we ask you guys on the Game Show Network Facebook page anything and everything.

https://youtu.be/yj0iG5UN2-E

We'll start off with Zachary Karpinski.

Watching old #GSN shows is very uncomfortable. So much unwanted kissing and touching on Family Feud with Richard Dawson and the match game with Gene Rayburn. #familyfeud #matchgame Game Show Network surprised you show reruns of these.

It's classic TV. Just watch it. Up next, Karen Donoho.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop encouraging contestants to scream and squeal and create noise. Your shows are great. They don't need the artificial "drama" or "excitement" which I understand they are encouraged to emote in order for audiences to watch. Hosts have been seriously injured because of over zealous contestants. I've seen similar shows in London and they are much more enjoyable. Jeopardy has been on the air for decades without that artifice. Please.

It's what a game show is. Excitement, Intensity, and Drama. That's what it is. Next up, Maria Walker.

it sucks that in the evening you only play American Says. It used to be ok for just a couple of episodes, and then there was Family Feud, but good grief, now, there is nothing from 6 pm to 9 pm but America Says, and the program sucks.

Guess you wanna give up GSN, huh? Next we go to Amanda Handshue.

I was wondering if you could play more Family Feud and Ask America. They are HARDLY ever on. Seriously there are hundreds of games shows and they show half the shows are America says and family feud.

Can't she just go to Buzzr rehab for a change? Lastly, Kay Welch.

Why is the network still showing old episodes of Family Feud?It recently replaced Masterminds .Why? Some of the answers given on the Feud by both the "audience" and contestants are disgusting.I hope the show has finally been cancelled.

That's what I wanna know.

(song stops)

Here are 3 Reasons why a 1992 short lived show called Family Secrets on NBC was.......short lived.

1. It Fared Much Better than Infatuation

When Bob Eubanks went down to Florida after Infatuation went off the air in 1993, he decided to make it more family friendly with his newest project at that time. Unfortunaelty, it suffered for 12 out of 13 weeks. The former was for 1 season. Guess Bob couldn't catch a break after Card Sharks left the air in 1989.

2. It's a clone of another show he used to do.

The Newlywed Game became a gem to Bob and others for close to 6 decades. This show: Like I said, 12 out of 13 weeks. Family Secrets cloned that but with 3 to a family combined with Trivia Trap, another show Bob hosted (which is one of my favorites because of Edd Kalehoff's iconic theme, don't ask me why) and Play The Percentages' 1st format. That was the round that had nothing to do with it.

3. Who hired the families anmyway?

If Dave Bell the producer of this program wanetd a hit, it was a swing and a miss. Contestant coordinators hired some familes that somehow didn't fit the show's criteria. and if you search Family Secrets on Wikipedia, you get a family that actually wasn't. Shocking, isn't it?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Closing Theme

That's it for this week, today's consolation prize is a pair of Spanx. You'll feel 1997 all over again.
