Me: Hi everyone, good afternoon from the greater Pacific Bay area and ‬TGIF! Hope you are well. And if you aren't well, well........

Today is National Tell A Fairy Tale day which I'm about to do right now.

Once upon a time, there was a young man who gathered up his troops to start a business that's all about game shows. The town of Pacific Bay was filled with townspeople......

Well, you might as well fill out the rest because we're living Happily Ever After while we get........wired!

“Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak is facing backlash after he mocked a contestant’s speech impediment on Monday’s episode of the game show.

The incident happened during the episode’s player introductions, when contestant Chris Brimble spoke with a noticeable lisp while describing his job as a tech salesman. Instead of replying, “I see,” Sajak mimicked Brimble’s lisp by saying, “I thee.”

Viewers lashed out on Twitter after the episode, with some replying to an unrelated tweet Sajak sent last week, in which he wrote, “How nice for those who have lived such exemplary lives that they can express glee when others have their lives ruined by a mistake, real or perceived.”

This is far from the first time the “Wheel of Fortune” host has come under fire for “teasing” contestants. Back in December, Sajak was criticized for snapping at an overexcited player who interrupted him before a sponsor advertisement. That came on the heels of him calling another contestant “ungrateful.”

What's her Line?

Multi-hyphenate Tyler, host of the CW’s Whose Line Is It Anyway, is known for her acting turns on Friends, 24 and Criminal Minds. She has voiced the character of Lana for 11 seasons on FXX’s Emmy Award-winning animated series, Archer, and is currently recording season 12. She is also providing her voice talents to the upcoming Disney+ series, Monsters at Work.

Behind the camera, Tyler is currently directing AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead. She received critical acclaim for her feature directorial debut, AXIS, an indie psychological thriller that won awards at numerous festivals. She also has directed episodes of Criminal Minds and The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico

Tyler has hosted The CW’s reboot of Whose Line Is It Anyway? since 2013, contributing to the network’s highest unscripted debut in five years. She was twice-nominated for a Daytime Emmy award, winning in 2017 as Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host for CBS’ The Talk. Throughout her time on the show, Tyler was known for her passion about topics close to her heart, including African American culture and stereotypes, as well as LGBTQ+ and women’s rights.

Most recently, Tyler hosted Prime Rewind: Inside the Boys on Amazon, an after-show for the successful series, The Boys.

I know what you did at Lunchtime

Spiky-haired Food Network celebrity chef Guy Fieri is rapidly rolling out a new delivery-only restaurant chain that adopts the “ghost kitchen” concept instead of a static brick-and-mortar sit-down establishment.

Fieri’s Flavortown Kitchens are operated out of existing brick-and-mortar kitchens. The new chain has multiple outlets in 24 states, with most locations launching in late January or early February.

Flavortown is partnered with Robert Earl, the Planet Hollywood founder, in a company called Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC), a company that trades in virtual kitchens to help existing restaurants gain extra revenue from celebrity-branded concepts.

The menu features Donkey Sauce to go, and has just 19 items available. Fieri’s Flavortown has such dishes as Bourbon Brown Sugar Barbecue Wings for $13.99, Jalapeno Pig Poppers for $12.99, the “Chicken Guy!” classic for $11.99, and Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese Burger for $12.99.

Fieri is best known for his Food Network shows Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games. He’s built up an empire that includes his name on 14 other brands around the world.

I love Goooooooold!

If you had that nagging feeling of familiarity watching Amanda Mena perform on Night 2 of ABC’s “American Idol” Season 19, you’re not alone.

This 18-year-old horse handler originally made a name for herself on NBC’s rival reality TV show “America’s Got Talent” where she received Mel B‘s Golden Buzzer. At that time she was only 15, but her “Natural Woman” audition blew the roof off the theater and earned her a coveted spot in the Season 13 live shows. Amanda made it all the way to the “AGT” semi-finals, being eliminated just prior to finale week. With three more years of experience under her belt, can this Boston resident go the end and win “American Idol”?

For her “Idol” audition (watch above), Amanda took a big risk performing The Beatles‘ “Golden Slumbers” in front of judges Katy PerryLionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Sunday’s episode opened right away with her performance and we didn’t get to see any of her backstory, but fans of “AGT” already know that she learned English as a second language after growing up in Dominican Republic. Amanda was bullied by her American classmates and she eventually found music as a way of connecting to those around her.

Before “American Idol” and “America’s Got Talent,” Amanda competed in — and won — the American Spanish-language version of “The Voice,” titled “La Voz Kids,” in 2014. In other words, she’s a pro at this whole reality TV thing.

Now we award a gold medal to one deserving gamer with the following qualifications:

Losing is never fun, especially if it happens on a TV game show where potentially millions of people are watching your agony of defeat. However, anyone who has seen JeopardyWheel of FortuneThe Price is Right, or really any other game show knows that the losing contestants are always cordial and humble at the end of the show as they applaud for the winner. But that isn't always the case, as viewers of one game show found out.

It happened on the Icelandic game show Gettu Betur, which means "Make A Better Guess." The show sees two teams of either high school or college students compete against each other in an academic challenge. During an episode this past week, when one of the two teams playing answered a question correctly, a member of the opposing team didn't handle it well.

That contestant, Jon Jorundurflew into a rage. Furious, he slammed his glass of water to the ground, knocked over his lectern and threw his teammate's glass of water against a wall, then he stormed off the set and continued to wreak havoc off-camera, all while the host and his fellow contestants looked on in utter disbelief.

Moving on.....

Don't embarass yourself, but.......

Preaching to the Choir

In a competitive situation, Disney+ has landed a two-project package based on the inspirational story behind America’s Got Talent finalists the Detroit Youth Choir, from Blumhouse Television, Maniac Productions and Campfire. The streamer has picked up Choir, a six-episode unscripted docuseries about DYC, marking the first original series order for Blumhouse at Disney+.

A companion scripted series also is in development by the same production team at Disney Branded Television for the streaming service. Writer/producer and showrunner Anthony Sparks (Queen Sugar, The Blacklist) is attached to create the scripted drama series and will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Both projects had been in the works at Blumhouse for several months.

The unscripted series, which has been filming in Detroit since last fall, chronicling the 2020/2021 season of the DYC, is inspired by Artistic Director Anthony White’s story. As a teacher, mentor and father figure in the heart of Detroit, White has impacted and empowered more than 1000 kids through music for over two decades. His efforts with DYC captivated America in an incredible rise to the finale during the fourteenth season of America’s Got Talent. After AGT, the group was gifted $1M from the City of Detroit and their performance of “Glory”, co-written by John Legend, Common and Rhymefest, became one of the anthems of a summer dominated by a call for social change.

“Disney Branded Television continues to seek out creative talent that is diverse, inclusive and representative of our multi-cultural landscape, and we are proud to team with Anthony White and the young voices of the Detroit Youth Choir to present this true-to-life story that is sure to inspire audiences of all ages,” said Ayo Davis, EVP, Creative Development and Strategy, Disney Branded Content. “We guarantee you’ll be singing along with this joyful group as they learn lessons about music and life in general.”

The docuseries is directed by Rudy Valdez and produced by Maniac Productions, Blumhouse Television and Wheelhouse-backed Campfire. The scripted series is being produced by Maniac Productions and Blumhouse Television, with Campfire CEO Ross Dinerstein (Heaven’s Gate, Special, Jiro Dreams of Sushi) attached as executive producer.
