“Jeopardy!” has revealed the next four guests hosts who will follow Ken Jennings at the podium.

“Jeopardy!” executive producer Mike Richards will serve as host for two weeks after Jennings’ run, with Katie Couric then set to become the first woman host in the quiz show’s 50-year history. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker and “Call Me Kat” star Mayim Bialik will host later in the season.

The show will make a donation to a charity of each host’s choosing in an amount equal to the contestants’ cumulative winnings during their respective week of episodes.

“Alex was a legend, revered by all of us,” “Jeopardy!” executive producer Mike Richards said in a statement. “I want to thank our guest hosts, who will not only help all of us celebrate his great legacy, but also bring their own touch to the show.”

“Jeopardy!” recently concluded its final string of episodes with Alex Trebek at the podium, with the beloved host’s final outing airing last Friday. The episodes featuring Jennings are airing this week.

“Sharing this stage with Alex Trebek was one of the greatest honors of my life,” Jennings told the audience at the top of his first episode. “Not many things in life are perfect, but Alex did this job pretty much perfectly for more than 36 years, and it was even better up close. We were dazzled by his intelligence, his charm, his grace really. There’s no other word for it.”

The Pack is packing it in. Amazon’s adventure-series-with-dogs has been cancelled after one season, TVLine has confirmed.

The reality program followed a dozen dogs and their owners as they went on an Amazing Race-like, international adventure. The winning human-canine pair took home $500,000 and a $250,000 donation to the animal charity of their chocie.

Olympic gold-medal skier Lindsey Vonn hosted alongside her Cavalier King Charles pup, Lucy.

The Wrap first reported The Pack‘s cancellation.

In December, animal-advocacy group PETA wrote a letter to Chris Castallo, head of unscripted programming at the streamer, about leaked footage that appeared to show some of the dogs in distress during a challenge.

Prior to The Pack‘s debut, executive produce Chris Bienstock told Variety that the team of animal-safety experts that worked on the show had “absolute power” to stop anything they deemed unsafe. “Like in the first show in Los Angeles on the beach, I’ve gone to the beach with my dog a zillion times without a leash, but they said if there’s no leash, you need a fence, so we built a fence,” he said. “Their input was so valuable.”

TV presenter Ben Shephard has paid a poignant tribute to woman who recorded a Tipping Point show, but sadly passed away before their winning episode was shown on TV.

Contestant Margaret died after filming the episode, which aired on Friday night.

Ben confirmed that they broadcast the episode on the wishes of her family.

Margaret beat the other contestants in her episode to take on the big machine at the end, but sadly never got to see the moment she triumphed on the daytime show for herself, as she died before her episode, which was filmed before the coronavirus pandemic hit, was shown.

True to form, Betty White has something impish to say about her birthday Sunday.

“Since I am turning 99, I can stay up as late as I want without asking permission!” she told The Associated Press in an email.

White's low-key plans include feeding a pair of ducks that regularly visit her Los Angeles-area home. Her birthday meal will be a hot dog and French fries brought in — along with a bouquet of roses — by her longtime friend and agent, Jeff Witjas.

The actor’s TV credits stretch from 1949’s Hollywood on Television to a 2019 voice role in Forky Asks a Question, with The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show among the enduring highlights. In January alone, White is on screen in reruns including The Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland; the 2009 Sandra Bullock movie The Proposal, and the 2018 documentary Betty White: First Lady of Television, about her life and career.

White's devotion to animals will be on display next month with the DVD and digital release of Betty White's Pet Set, a 1970s series in which she visited with celebrity guests and their pets as well as wild animals.

Her work, always marked by top-drawer comedic timing, has earned her five Emmy Awards, including a 2010 trophy for a guest-host appearance on Saturday Night Live.

A native of Oak Park, Illinois, White was married to game show host and producer Allen Ludden from 1963 until his death in 1981..

Now for a safety tip across......the pond.

Film and TV production has been taken off the UK government’s coronavirus travel exemption list, meaning those arriving in Britain to participate in shoots of all shapes and sizes will need to self-isolate for 10 days.

The government updated its rules on Monday at 4AM local time and changes impact two categories of jobs: television production, and high-end television production and film. This covers pretty much everything apart from those involved in essential work for the BBC.

“If you are not exempt, and you arrive in the UK, you will need to self-isolate for 10 days,” the government said on a web page explaining the rules. “When you arrive in England, you must travel directly to the place you are staying and not leave.”

Back in 1985.......

And now in 2021.....

ITV has commissioned a sixth season of gameshow format Celebrity Catchphrase from STV Studios comprising 13 episodes, its highest episode count yet. Initial production is already underway and filming will begin in April.

The new season, again hosted by Stephen Mulhern, will be broadcast on ITV and Scottish equivalent STV in their autumn/winter schedules.

The current season of the show, comprising eight episodes, has featured guests such as Jools Holland, Naga Munchetty and Martin Kemp. It attracted the highest audience figures for one episode since the show’s launch in 2013, with six million people watching January 9’s instalment.

And finally, it looks like TentacleTech is turning Lewd Not Rude into Tame Not Lame? One conservative group emailed  the 20-something streamer from Kentucky decided to turn it from Rated M for Mature for Rated E for everyone after one person saw his style as a little too raunchy. Although Tentacle declined to comment, one of the longtime followers of his channel did not stand by the email because they think it would've been perfect for the late night/early morning crowd. Also, in the email, it said that he needs to lay off on the twerking...........

Thunderclap

It must be some super secret spam mail no one knew about  because it's......

90 seconds to talk about 25 words or less trying to get on Buzzr  starting from.......

Earlier this month, 25 Words or Less wanted joy to the world as a way late Christmas present but a few days later, it ended up return to sender. What Buzzr should've shown was the pre-covid with an audience episodes instead of this season's Zoomy shows. There were hintgs that a show past 2000 can't work on Buzzr today. When Anderson Feud was there, Buzzr pushed them out. Karn Feud was there and Buzzr shoved it out the door. Celebrity Name Game meant Buzzr asked them to exit stage left. Temptation had lots of love, but not a lot of viewers to send them packing. Buzzr can't work with Total Blackout, 2016 Match Game, American Idol, the PAX iteration of Beat The Clock, The X Factor USA or Harvey Feud for that matter, because they all want Match Game, Concentration, Press Your Luck, $ale Of The Century and everything else on the schedule because they're focused on retro goodness and BZZZ! was one example from last year. So 25 Words or Less, I'll give you one word if you got on Buzzr: Stupid.
